I've seen this before and totally enjoyed it. I don't know why I didn't save it. Michael. You beautiful man. You are so missed.

He is so friggin adorable. And you can absolutely see how engaged he is with whoever he is speaking with. Intense eye contact, etc.

Here he shows how people have described Michael. Friendly, funny and down to earth. A lovely ingaging person to talk to and be around! Wish I could have met him

ended up here on Bono's autobiography news release that he (Michael) and Bona were no longer friends the last year of his life. When seeing this video you can't imagine why. Michael is very much on the ball, engaging, down to earth. Both my kids go to that same KGV school (yes I'm based in Hong Kong); I'll share this video with them later.
    Love INXS, love it!

Michael looks clean here, but sadly his drug abuse is true,so heartbreaking for the daugther that he left behind, and never met him.

Interesting. I've long wondered about that. I certainly don't want one of my "no longer friends" finishing a masterpiece album. Slideaway doesn't belong to Bono. Geesh. My brain pan is on overdrive now.

That was very interesting, a great speaker he was. Wish he could've stayed longer. What an intelligent man. Admiration has only risen since his passing.

Love how Michael went back to his old school♥️ Who knew he liked stamp collecting..hehe.So cute how he was reported as rather immature but very pleasant…and Michael agreed and thought it was funny🤣

I didn't know he was so interested in Hong Kong. It makes sense. He lived there in his formative years. Called it home. Probably, one of the few places to go where he could be an regular person and walk around the city. I'll assume. Seems like he was enjoying himself. I know he passed away the same year this was made in November97. I just recently found out he was gone. It's too bad. He was very happy here. Very informative and interesting video he made. I love the stories and ideas he shared. He had a unique perspective and extremely intelligent. Thank you for sharing this video.

It’s where he agreed to meet Kylie for their first date too. She said they could wander around in relative anonymity.

Michael and his band were all very smart, intelligent, and well educated. Just because they were in a band doesn't mean there wasn't brains here. They also had family and their probably one of the few bands that got along well.

@SnakePlissken-gk7ix Why people would get shocked? Hong Kong is known to produce legends. Hong Kong is just too underrated in the world.

My God he went back to Hong Kong to do this in the same year that he passed away. Can't imagine the people and students who interacted with him felt when they heard that news not too long after he was there.

Ive spent a bit of time in Hong Kong. And taken that same bus road quite a few times and it is hair raising. Michael could have been anonymous here which would have been liberating. Hong Kong has changed in some ways unfortunately now in 2022. I’m sure he is watching over it..

I did some analysis using Google map and Street, many video footages and assume the name of the flat is Ying Fai Court, 1 Ying Fai Terrace near Peel St and Caine Rd in Mid Levels, Hong Kong Island. Wanna visit there on my next HK trip. Wonder how his band practiced there making noise or did they have a studio for practice.

Maybe it wouldn't have been Michael's "thing", but he could've TOTALLY done what Anthony Bourdain did on his shows. (Ironic, now that I think about it, that they both went out the same way.)
