I know there’s going to be some hateful comments and I’ll take full responsibility. But like I said, in a video, we show the good the bad we are humans we make mistakes. Maybe this mistake will help somebody in the future.
I reached out to Lakeland in regards to this situation and let me tell you I was very pleased how quick of a response I got they even made a video going through all the motions of the spin. Talking about amazing customer service. They was quick to reply. Update video will be coming out on that soon.
That bird in the tree was a stork a water bird
Did your goat (Moonspot) make it? Didn't she recently have babies? Man, that is really weighing on my mind 🙏🏼
Did they talk about spinning all the way over, upside down ? Easier on your back
@@bossgrandma3487 legend has it that it's the stork that delivers babies ....
They are called crane or Heron here .. @@bossgrandma3487
Brandon, TURN YOUR DONKEYS OUT, They are coyote killers!!!
Great Blue Heron. Wonderful birds. They fish of course but one of their favorite diets is slugs…🤢😅
Exactly what I was going to say!!
Yup.
@@jerrilynhenson9024 I didn't know this. Thank you. As a birder I am always wanting to learn more.
@@ranziey8273 I used to see them in fields around here and I would say they were field fishing…🤷♀️. I don’t remember how I found out about the slugs.
If people don't like what you are doing to protect your animals . They don't need to watch . People all over the world are doing the same thing to protect their animals. ❤❤❤
Donkeys take care of coyotes real well! ❤❤❤
Some farms get Donkey on purpose to guard against predators. Donkey been known to kick Coyotes to death

I loved it when Addison was singing to the goats and talking to them so gently what beautiful children you have🇦🇺❤️
So sweet your daughter comforting the goats, they seem to relax
I noticed that too. That goat just relaxed. That might be a good thing to do all the time if the poor girl can stay in the heat.
She was singing to it ...melted my heart
Yes, thanks
Brandon, we all make mistakes, and by making mistakes we learn. We just praise God that the goat recovered
You are your biggest critic. You show what you do. Miracles and mistakes. Bless you.
Evening Brandon. Sorry you’re having problems with the coyotes how about letting the two big donkeys out that will definitely help with that problem. Lots of farms out donkeys out to protect their animals. We learn from our mistakes and no one is perfect. You’re doing a great job. I am so happy for you all about the house cannot wait till they start. Exciting times ahead for you all. Have a great weekend take care and God bless 💕🙏
Donks are AWESOME at dealing with 'problems' that come into THEIR territory.
Even the smaller donkeys can take out a coyote. They are tough, stubborn, intelligent animals that protect their own.
Although Sandi Brock raise sheep, much of the equipment she uses is very similar to what you have. She does turn the sheep completely on their backs which seems to calm them down. It would also be easier on your back as you wouldn’t have to bend over so much. She also uses electric hoof trimmers. Please watch some of her videos if you haven’t already. She does a great job and is very caring where her babies are concerned.
Ah yes - Sandi Brock is brilliant isnt she - and her Sheep are very much trreated like your goats - they are family members and when the older ewes are past producing or if she has a favourite who cannot really deal with lambing or have issues and need retiring, they go into another paddock and are her special girls. I think too if you were to reach out to her, she would be happy to have a chat with you too.
Remember, Brandon, it is a learning experience. I loved how the girls were comforting the goats.
This is when you can use one of those portable tent covers for the family and the goats! Great work, everyone! God bless. ❤......😊
It's nice watching you teaching Leighton how to trim the goat's feet
Brandon, Sandi Brock also uses spray paint on their buns to remind her who has been worked or given meds so she can quickly pass them on. Doesn’t have to be a huge spot just one she can see. It’s just difficult learning with so many !! Good luck 😊 it’s a big job.
Sandi is who I have learned just about everything I know about sheep from, and I just figure you can do the same way with goats.
There are specific types of spray paints that are non toxic. Important when working with animals of course. :)
I Love Sandy.. on RUclips.. ""SHEEPISHLY ME "" I have learned so much from her, she has sheep, but everything is basicly same.
I follow Sandi as well.. she also has the same set up for corralling her sheep.. she works that equipment like its part of her arm!! Lol.
Yours is an incredible undertaking and no one with any heart and common sense finds blame in your approach to managing this wonderful family farm. You are clearly kind and loving people doing your best to find success and happiness. Pooh on the naysayers. Take stock of how far you've come and the love you get from your viewers...and the love you and yours share.
Brandon, I know you would NEVER do something to hurt a animal. Accidents and things happen. We learn from them and get better. I hope the goat is doing okay. God Bless and Keep You All In His Loving Hands. ❤🙏
I haven’t been with you that long but I’m anxious to see your house build, especially after Stephanie told us you’ve been waiting 10 years.
That bird on the tree is a blue heron. I actually quietly walked up on one on the river and it was hunting for fish. I kept taking a few steps closer and closer and then kneeled down and zoomed in with my camera. I thought it was looking right at me! Haha, they have beautiful markings on the back of their head that makes you think they are looking at you. It was the neatest thing to see 😊
Y’all will get a routine down pretty quick. Your family works great together. All the kinks will get worked out. Love watching ur family thanku for being u and for doing what u do. 🐾❤️🐾
Hearing those coyotes was really scary. You did a fine job on hoof trimming. Pretty soon youll be a pro at it. Then youll zip right through the herd. I really love how the whole family gets involved. So fun to watch you teach your kids.
Farm work is the hardest job anybody can ever have. It is something different every day. Lots of times it doesn’t go as planned you just do your best. God bless Eddie family farm
Brandon, you should invest in a pop up canopy..They're not too expensive and it would be a lot cooler and keep the sun off you while your working in one spot. They don't have sides or screens so it would let air/wind pass through. They are not permanent and fold up easily to move them
You’re doing a great job! Addison is so sweet and gentle with the goats!
Enjoyed your video and thank you for sharing this with us ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
You Need to get some big rocks for the goats to play on and climb on that will help with their hoofs also GOD Bless❤🙏
Kind of a pain to move in but it might be a great way to help with hoof care and they will have fun. So, double bonus: enrichment as well.
Brandon, you are learning stop beating yourself up. Things happen to the best of us. Quick thinking saved the goat. Be proud of how far you have come. Doing a great job on your farm. ❤
Brandon, from before we're born we have to learn everything we do in this life. Accidents happen even to seasoned farmers. Don't beat yourself up or let anyone else do it to you. We know you love your animals.
What a learning experience. You’re doing a great job Brandon. Shout out to Addison and Leighton. Leighton is 😮right in there and willing to learn and actually helping you with some of the grooming etc. And beautiful Addison comforting the sweet goats as they are in a strange environment. She was actually singing to them. What a sweetheart!
Your farm and family are beautiful!
The big bird that was at the top of the tree was a heron.
You are human and we all make mistakes and I appreciate everything you share.
It sounded like you were doing the cadence for the goats to march
"...left, left, left, left" lol
Brandon, everyone makes mistakes or has accidents. We learn from them. All your animals are healthy and content. You and Stephanie, with help from your children, have accomplished so much.
I hope that you are able find a solution to your coyote situation. Praers and love to you all. ❤
Life’s hard! Hang in there!
Love your family & farm. ❤🎉😊
HI Brandon, It might be a good idea to turn the big donkeys out at night and in during the day to save your other animals... they will guard the property from predators. Might as well give them a job. I know you're concerned about their size, but maybe its a win win if they earn their keep.
I used milk 150 goats twice daily. I learned to do my own hoofs. I found the easiest way was with them standing on something hard. Did it like you do horses one foot up at a time. I could put the foot down and see how it looked on the solid ground to see if it was correct, that the hoof was flat on the ground. After a bit I could do a goat in a few mins and move on. the worst was when I got new ones and some of the hoofs were in really bad shape, some looked like they had skis, you have to do them a bit at a time took a couple of weeks to get them done. Good luck with the way your doing it. Looks harder for me but if your ok with it great.
Brandon, thank you so much for sharing this video with us! We truly appreciate your openness and transparency, even in challenging situations. We're excited to continue partnering with you and witness the ongoing growth of your farm!
I tell you all are doing great 👍. Keep it up
Another great video love yall 💖 💖💖💖 accident happens like that you set out do it on purpose you're learning how too do it Brandon n don't blame yourself you didn't know it was too tight on her hope yall get then coyotes they can't be coming after the animals & chickens and stuff hope yall have a wonderful weekend take care God bless yall
That was a blue heron. They eat fish, frogs, and snakes. Good bird to have around.
Glad to see you giving Layton some responsibility great work ❤❤
Love your sweet daughter singing to the goats❤
Don't beat yourself up ❤! There is no one who hasn't made a learning mistake. It is a trial an error to find out the right position for each goat. Not all goats are made alike!
Glad the goat is ok. Maybe start working the goats in the morning . When it's cooler or in the evening. Also in smaller groups. Also use an animal spray paint a spray the animal after you have worked it .That way you can tell at a glance which one you already did. Instead of of having to look it up. And use a different color each time. Also write down the colors you use each time. Take your time, don't get over heated. You all are doing a wonderful job. God Bless ,. From southern Michigan ❤❤❤
Hello from Whitney Ontario Love your family. Do what needs to be done to protect your family and all your animals
Mistakes are learning lessons. ( I have no idea what you did wrong) When you are perfect, you will be with our LORD, until than, you are a human man, always striving in HIM/for Him. Dang they, the coyotes were way too close to the animals. That is stinking special seeing all of you having assigned areas.
Hi Brandon, please watch Sandi Brock , it's mainly on sheep but you see her do huff trimming and she saves a lot of time and energy by using electric huff trimmers .
And she turns the animals all the way over.
Gonna huff and puff and blow the house down, said the big bad wolf.
Toenail on a goat foot is a HOOF
Electric trimmers r not for beginners. They take a lot off very fast. U have to really know the hoof. Maybe he could get a hoof trimmer out that could teach him how to use them. It would definitely make short work of it. ❤
@Og-Judy
And the plural (for two or more, as in a full set of four), is HOOVES.
Electric trimmers may be an investment you want to make - but I would wait until you are more confident in how to shape the hooves as they will remove the nail (cartilage??) very quickly. Either way you need a stronger set of trimmers that are sharper for your hand's sake and the goats. As they say, a dull knife is much more dangerous for giving accidental cuts (and bad ones at that). A sharp knife/trimmers on the other hand allows for much more control with less effort.
Hope this helps. Not meant as a criticism. I could see that you were frustrated with how the trimmers performed as well. (And I bet that your hand was just aching after those dozen or so goats.)
That bird looks like a heron to me.
my Dad show us how to work and together and how to do different animals like pigs cattle horses and chickens your kids do so well working together and learning so much
Your donkeys will keep them away. They are excellent guard animals.
That should flip on over so goats are their back less kicking
Learning from our mistakes is how we become better people. Mistakes just show we are human and we are not perfect and it keeps us humble & also shows us how much we really do need God each and every day.
ENJOYED watching the video Brandon and Stephanie 😊
The kids sure are a blessing! Always learning and they love their animals! You and Stephanie also! Dont be so hard on yourself. It wasnt intentional. I hope the goat is ok. If shes not make sure to see if her lungs got too much pressure. Too bad there isnt a way for you to see inside on how tight it gets. Maybe their position inside too. Anyway keep being the strong loving farmer you are! Leighton learning the trimming was so cool.
That bird in the tree top looked like a Blue Heron. Keep up the good work, don't put yourself down. The Lord Loves us all as we are. He is the only one who is perfect. Blessings to you and you're family Brandon and Stephanie. 👍🙏🐐
Brandon you just keep trying 🤬. You'll get it all eventually. You are doing a great job 😊❤️😊❤️. Keep up the good work.
You are learning. Your love of the animals is great. Your family is beautiful. God Bless !!!
Thank you so much!
That bird is a heron
Hi Brandon, You might put a tent over the turn table so you and the goats wont be so hot while you are working on them. I had on your Eddy Family Farm T Shirt when I went to the store and the door greeter ask me if I was from that farm and I told him all about you guys !!! Love y'all God bless and until next time take care
That bird looks like a heron.
You should really consider using solar lights that are motion detectors and come on when anything triggers it. They're inexpensive and should scare away any potential predators.
On the first go-around through the shoots, maybe you could do the weigh-in and meds and throw in marker chips/tags. Then, next week, do the feet so it would not be so stressful for them to go into something they have never seen before. Then all you have to do is keep up with hoove trimming once every 4-8 weeks, and at about 2-4 weeks, start running the babies through so they get used to it.
It's so cute hearing Braylee singing to the goats in the catch.
Have a great weekend
Brandon, things happen when you are using new products, im glad they have great customer service, and they answered and sent a video

We all know how much you love your animals ...we all make mistake ...im sure she will be fine xxx
❤❤❤ love This Family
Hi Brandon and family, im from the UK. I keep 105 goats,, i keep the billys seperate from the herd until breeding time, i also keep the nannys in groups of 20. much more easy to manage, 5 x billys then 5x lots of nannys. this may help and stop billys breeding there daughters! Why don't you show us, when you go to auction and what you get. i have give my billly kids away, no market here! i do show my nannys and sell them for $400 each. love most of your vids, xxx
Brandon, We all had to start somewhere. Honestly. I respect that you can admit when you make a mistake, n openly own up to it. Not many can do that. I would watch a bunch of RUclips on trimming hooves. Cause it does take a bit to learn how to trim them. I'm still learning as well.. but I do know that back part of hoof. Like the callas part. Needs to be trimmed to make it flat.. I still get leery trimming to.. Keep up the pursuit to the life you want to enjoy.. ❤❤ watching yall
That bird looked like a Blue Heron ,we have them down here in Louisiana.
I came across this channel and it's a really good family channel a lot to learn I'm surprised he doesn't have more subscribers.. he has a lot of viewers.. very nice and humble family..
Wishing you success on dispatching the coyotes animals look great
Brandon don't beat yourself up. You are human and learning. It isn't anything you dud on purpose. Haters gonna hate even if you didn't 100% correctly.
You need to send it to the dealer so they can assist you and others through it.
You might need someone that does this all time to show you how to manage the goats and what to do in emergency. What do you think
I admire you both for showing the real-life ups and downs ❤
We all appreciate your taking us along building your farm from scratch ❤

A great blue heron
Brandon how is the little goat that was hurt is he ok? Love how the whole family has a part in the job that has to be done.❤❤😊
♥♥♥♥♥♥Hi Brandon and Stephanie. ♥
Even with that wonderful gated system, working the goats is a lot of work! God bless you and your family!
The 1 thing Coyotes hate is noise piercing noise. You can install Sensor based alarms and their pretty cheap and easy to install. Like standard security systems they rely on motion to trigger the alarm. Once a coyote gets the alarm will ring and deliver a piercing sound that irritates the senses and sends the coyote or other pest running. Otherwise you can try windchimes & bells hanging thru out the property your basically trying to create constant stream of noise they hate but you may not like it either also you need wind. The alarm would work best. Those you set up all over where there are your birds and such.
You've made me want goats love your family God bless
I'm ANITA: I know you love your animals so much! It was scary seeing the goat when you let her out and I hope she is Alright. Thank you Stephanie and Kids for sharing your video of your life with all of us. Luv From Tenn. God Bless Y'all and God Bless All the Animals Brandan don't beat yourself up over the goat, things happen that we can't for see. Anyone that has ever grown up on a farm knows Somethings; happen while trying to take care of our animals
Yes she is ok now
That bird looked like a Blue Herron.
Braylee is there to comfort them.
Brandon that bird was a Herron there a water bird hopefully you can get rid of the coyotes taking care of a herd of 🐐 or a herd of cattle is a lot of work farm life is a busy life style my parents never took a vacation while farming it's a 24/7 job ❤❤❤❤❤❤
I wish I had one of those tilt tables for the goats, alpacas and Llamas. I am 61 and the owner is 72 so neither one is a spring chicken to wrestle the animals.
Love your videos
Don’t beat yourself up! Things happen, and you just learn from your experience! You and your family are wonderful people.
you never stop learning no matter what job it is if someone says they know everything about it they sdo not now much
Brandon just one day at a time you will get them done GOD BLESS
