How To Delete Amazon Account Permanently [Updated 2024]

If you haven't already noticed, it's quite difficult to delete your Amazon account. The company doesn't exactly make it very obvious on where or even how you can delete your Amazon account. Obviously they want you to keep it, so burying the option to delete or close your Amazon account works a little bit as a deterrent from folks closing their accounts. Still, if you're bent on closing your account for whatever reason -- such as making your purchase history disappear forever -- you can still close it, and close it rather easily you can.
Amazon doesn't offer a way for you to close your Amazon account within your account's settings. We actually have to talk to Customer Support to close it down. Here are the exact steps on how to do it:

same here , amazon needs to be exposed on tik tok , they basically keep ur old account and allow hackers to keep ur email after ud told them to cancel it and they say yes and theyl send a notification when they never do ,

I have deleted my Amazon account and it has been deleted successfully. Before deleting the account I had removed my credit card. When I try to login it says there is no account found with this email.
Now, I am still receiving emails that i need to update charge method on my Amazon account as there is some outstanding payment on it.
There is no account exists, why am i receiving emails?????
