" The red frames are great , they set off the decoupage art wonderfully . And ya do have to be careful with the paper , I learned not to have sticky fingers 🤦♀️❤"
Such lovely papers....perfect for your clientele in a rural or farming area. But, also so nostalgic and iconic for historical America. The red/wood frames compliment the paper beautifully.
Love all the windows. You always have great ideas for your projects. I would like to hear sizes of paper when you do the projects. This way I can get an idea what will look good. Thank you so much. Great job. .
Hi Yvonne, wow what truly beautiful results you got with the old frames.. I absolutely adore them both.. Love and best wishes to you from Tracey in the UK 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧❤️❤️❤️xxx
You have most certainly inspired me Yvonne. Thank you for the detailed tutorial. I have bought some mirror effect and have loads of frames. Wish me luck. Cheers
Yvonne, I have a bunch of old windows and I ordered some of the decoupage papers to try the mirror effect. I bought the Halloween black cat with advertisement on it. I got all of my supplies together and I got it all done and I was so proud of it! I was trying to get some of the wrinkles out and I pushed down too hard and tore the paper. I put too much Mod Podge on it. It was too wet. It’s okay. My daughter says it just looks more rustic. You learn from your mistakes. I hopefully never let that happen again. Thank you so much for teach all of us how to do it. You are so generous of your time and talents. You are my favorite artist on uTube!
Oh.. I’ve done that.. yep it more rustic. The Saran Wrap does help so that it doesn’t tare, can’t say that it get wrinkles out . But I don’t mind them.
I’ve watched other videos on this and they put the plastic wrap on flat and gently use a brayer to roll out the wrinkles. Haven’t tried it yet, but, looks like it would help.
Yvonne, I have learned so many things from you. The way you share your techniques, how you obtain product, reasons for your decisions, like on your booths and why you choose certain projects. It’s nice to see your shop and how your family is involved. What I’m trying to say is Thank You. Beverly
I didn’t think I was going to like the mirror effect with the decoupage papers but oh my gosh the windows are stunning! And I love that you left the frames red. You have such a great eye for everything!!
Great results. I don’t know if you have ever used this method but when your putting brown paper on the back of the frame ,but white school glue to glue it down then when it is stuck down spray the paper with water let dry and it shrinks up to look nice and flat like the pros do it. Then slice off the edges with a single edge razor blade. While waiting on my order I watched a framer do this and have always used this fool proof method sense.
I have always loved old windows, just like all old things, lol. But you gave me inspiration on what to do with them. These are beautiful! I love them both! Great job and thanks so much for a great idea.
Both of the windows turned out beautifully! But, especially the one with the red barn! Such a lovely almost autumn 🍂 appearance, yet could be used all year long. The mirrored affect is the perfect touch! Another fabulous make-over!!
You absolutely never cease to amaze me...the mirror effects just took those decoupage papers right on up to the next level...Thanks for all you do to inspire us. Love from Susan in FL :)
Ohhhhhh my gosh I don’t know how much I can express how much I love those. What a find you found!!! Those barn looking windows are beautiful. I keep watching you do this technique, and have the windows, paper and paint to complete my windows, just to nervous to do it lol. I bought the papers from the first video you did. Now I want these barns lol. Just love your work. Thank you so much!!!
Oh.. don’t be.. the mirror effect can be scraped off if you don’t like it.. than try again. The paper.. well. But once you figure you spray technique you’ll be good🤗🤍
I was given 2 old windows. Previously I had gotten a set of shutters, and these windows were the same size. So now my husband will make a flower box under the window and adding the shutters to the sides will be cute.. I will hang it on the side of the garage, which is part of our patio. I agree w/you Yvonne, I LOVE old windows!
Brilliant & appropriate technique for the barn papers. Which, by the way I liked (wanted to win) from the other video 😉. The red barn has a classic look with the frame, but the gray barn with the mirror effect was my favorite I think. Glad I didn't win now because I wouldn't have done them justice. Never saw the mirror effect before, nice.
Them are beautiful with the barns. I have done several after I seen you do this the first time and my favorite is one I did with an old car paper from Zazzle. You are always inspiring me to try new things 😊
While watching you I realized my Mom has a picture with the mirror effect. I gotta check it out. Snoop a little.LOL There's things you use together that I didn't know you could. Learned something again. The barn turned out amazing. You are so good at what you do. So much fun watching you. Thanks ,your the best Ginger Chick.. God Bless you and yours. Rebekah

Love all the windows. You always have great ideas for your projects. I would like to hear sizes of paper when you do the projects. This way I can get an idea what will look good. Thank you so much. Great job.
