I’m actually really shocked how lovely those cabins are. They look high end and the colours are lovely. Due to being a solo cruiser I always have an inside cabin and I would happily stay in one of those. Thanks for opening our eyes to that ship
Yeah, I didn’t expect them to be so lovely. Next up I’ll be showing you some suites on this ship, so watch this space for them in a few days time! Thanks for watching, Joanne!
Great stuff Fraser. Editing on point and loved the commentary. Do know what I would stay in all three I love the decor, very different to any other cruise lines!! That seat is just like Arvia and Iona, does it have deck 8 cabins like arvia? 😂 I saw those glass windows in shower before on Emma cruises!! It must of been done to get a talking point, I have never been in cruise shower and thought “mmm would love to see the rest of cabin” 🤣
You know, I enjoyed showering and looking at the ocean - such a luxury, ha! Also, yes they do - I actually stayed in one during my Smeralda vlogs! However, Costa has their buffet on deck 8, so they have nowhere near the same amount of controversial cabins here! Thanks for watching mate!
All their decor is nice. I like all the colors/walls. They do have very good bathrooms. I'm always a balcony person, even with the cost difference. I enjoy fresh air and being able to step out any time I want to. Thanks Fraser!
Yeah, I was really impressed with the cabin design on this ship class - really clean, with a nice hint to feeling more luxurious than I’d expected from Costa. Agree with your balcony comments! Thanks for watching, Tammy :)
I'm usually an inside gal, but I am not a fan of that one. You say it feels big... I was thinking it films small. I am not a fan of the decorating choices...but I think the inside cabins on Princess seem larger, have abundant storage (in comparison), and are more comfy. The balcony was ok...but I don't often choose to spend my vacation dollars for private, outside space when I'm out and about the ship as much as I am. For me, the winner was the oceanview. It would give me any of the extra space that I would want from a balcony without having to pay the upgrade for the outside area within my own room. Plus, I really did like the vanity. I wonder why they didn't add that to the balcony room.
Great thoughts, McKenna - I felt the same with the vanity - such a great, premium addition! I would also agree with your point on Princess - I’ve always loved their inside rooms, and their storage is soooo good! Thanks for watching!
If price is not an option, I'd go with the balcony cabin hands down. But, knowing that the budget is going to be the biggest concern when I return to cruising in the future, inside will do fine as long as it is clean and quiet, after all, most of my time will be on deck and in ports. Also appreciate your "drama free" cruising experiences...really, really appreciate it!! Looking forward to where you will be taking us next! Bruce and Otis
Thanks guys, and really good points here - I usually tend to be on the inside too, as budget’s one of my primary concerns too. My rule is that if I cruise on the inside, I can cruise more - easy one for me!
I'm gonna need some sort of schedule/spreadsheet to work out where you are, or where you were, and when. It's a 4th dimension conundrum! But it must be worse for you ! 😂 oh, btw great video, Fraser, thanks!
Ha, that’s so funny! So after this series finishes, we’ll be starting Costa Toscana with my friend Laura, then onto the Greek Islands on Rhapsody OTS!!
@@FraserAtSea I really was half joking about it, a planner on your YT home page or on Patreon re your previous cruises would help greatly to understand the epic year you're having! Obviously maybe not be specific re future cruises, incase Fraser Groupies start mass booking ships in the hope of an audience! 🤣🤣🤣
@@FraserAtSea All new Costa ships do not have refrigerators. You said that this ship has over 2000 cabins, that would be over 2000 fridges burning fuel, yet most cruisers never use them. Getting rid of them is good for the environment. You can ask for a cold pack to store medicines in, if needed.
Thanks for watching my video! If you’ve enjoyed it, please subscribe to my channel for so much more from my cruise ships! Welcome onboard! ❤

Always love a window seat and that one on the outside cabin would be an amazing spot to watch the ocean!!
Totally agree - I’d take my duvet over there and chill with my morning coffee!
Balcony every time. Stateroom styling is lovely.
It’s a beautiful room, isn’t it? Totally agree!
Lovely cabins ,we’ve never sailed with Costa enjoy your travels.
Thanks for watching, Amy!

The fake marble looks good, perfect size for one.
I agree - I really liked the fake marble!
Solo, I;d be happy with any! I think if I have a full family of four, I'd go for a Balcony!
Yeah, solo is also be happy with any. Thanks for watching!!
What surprised me the most is the lack of refrigerators in Costa Smeralda cabins. 🤔
I’d agree with this - I missed having one, too!
