Florida tax payers paid for flights of migrants from Texas to Martha’s Vineyard. Thanks DeSantis. Much better than spending our tax money on useless infrastructure.
The “thanks for the question”stall tactic is so irritating. These jerks know that the questioner has limited time and they are simply trying to bleed out the clock.
I don't fly on airplanes. I don't use credit cards to amass "air miles". What pisses me off is how they charge 20-40% interest, but if you invest or save money with these SAME banks, you might get 2% back in return for your money. Best way to fight back: Do not invest or save money with the big banks. And if you have credit cards, pay down your balances as much as possible, as quickly as possible, and never carry a balance again.
American Airlines moved their reward “miles” from how much you travel to using their Credit Card. Horrible decision for those of us that actually travel on their airline.
Legacy carriers control hubs in US. if you fly to Europe you do not see Delta, American, United plastered on every trash can or hub wall. Europe has quite a few more carriers than the US and they are very neutral in advertising in hubs. US carriers are forcing smaller and new carriers out and keeping tickets at a higher level..
Absolute FACT! Little by little Delta Sky Miles has been reduced…they got rid of the option to use miles for entry into the Sky Lounge during long layovers…they removed the ability to purchase products with miles…they removed the ability to buy Delta Giftcards with miles…it’s essentially BS with their Partner AMEX
ya i recently flew Delta from YYC to MSP and paid for a First Class ticket return and wasnt even able to use the lounge in MSP because I didnt have an Amex card.
The problem is that paying with cash or debit is now a loss . The swipe fees have been im embedded in the price of goods now. So things cost three percent more because of swipe fees . If I'm paying cash or debit I'm paying that added 3 percent and not getting any benefit.
So, if you live 25 miles from an airport, and try to book a flight from MyHomeTown Air Port to Dallas, it costs your $400. But if you drive 100 miles to another airport, it only costs you $150, and that air port is FURTHER away from Dallas, with the same number of stops between ! To add to this, there are now only 2 airlines that will ship pets as they have to be in climate controlled cargo, and of course only during acceptable outside temperatures. Used to be you could find 6 or more to fly with. It's a pain when you're traveling and need to take your dog/cat with you.
They’re showing great concern about airlines and the amount of money and kickbacks .The banks are earning on high fees, why don’t we look at the banks with the high fees of up to 30% that they charge for every day use of a credit card in these inflationary times, I guess the kickback from supermarkets clothing stores, ect, if this was organized crime, the government would be putting executives of these credit cards and banks for usary and extortion in prison
The senators asking these questions fly on the airlines they’re complaining about and always in first class. All of a sudden they care about the taxpayer and competition?
The bigger question is why the approach to this questioning addresses these corporate entities as parties in interest. The only ones entitled to a voice in our representative government are We-the-People, not corporate officers or corporations as alternate entities in interest.
Are you enjoying the show because that's all it is. These are actors. Bad actors as well. They are performing their scripts. They are all buddies. This is all you get to see up front. Do you ever notice that this all you get to see. In your face they look like they care. None of them care. The only thing they care about is if you believe the phony acting and extreme B.S. All that really matters is that they all fool you. Wake up. If you wake up and see them for who they really are is what scares them the most. So WAKE UP, because that is the last thing they want.
why is this hard to understand....the credit card charges 25% APR on balances...minus the cost of capital...6%...minus 2% hold back for losses...the spread is the revenue...they split the money per the terms of their deal....
A credit card is a convenience only. Make sure you pay off your card every month to stay ahead of the interest. If you can image, credit card companies have big shot meetings every month and they sit around asking each other how can we rip off our customers more.
I cancelled my united card because it cost 15k miles to go somewhere and that's at the cost of almost $1-1 mile. And spirit airlines is just plane junk!
I'm boycotting this industry until they get their sh*t together. I hear there are sailing clubs where you can join crews crossing the Atlantic AND Pacific. I'm tempted to go to such extremes to avoid flying anywhere.
Right…because better to remain oblivious to the financial rape these conglomerates continue to commit upon their customers. Blissfully ignorant, right?
Right? I find some of the questioning very irritating and condecending. If you are going to ask a question then do it in a way that allows a person to answer. So often they jump over the persons answers with another question. If you are not interested in hearing what they have to say then dont ask a question. Some of these committees are just a waste of time
Whenever someone says "Thanks for the question", get ready for a spin answer.
Who paid for migrants tickets for airline transport
Wow I can't believe that no one else has been asking that question or even giving you a thumbs up a responding to your comment

These people are exhausting. Can none of the a direct answer??
And who exactly approved all these mergers to allow for so few airlines to dominate the skies over the USA? Just asking.
A republican

Monopolies of different sectors working together to keep such monopolies going is way worse than a single monopoly!

@@stevebelzner447 absolute BS…in my opinion, if you’ve forked out for FirstClass you should get a day pass to the Sky Lounge.

It’s never been more unsafe to fly and these creeps are still gouging the retailers everywhere they can.

There are ocean liners that only take 7 days to get to Europe. Same price as a flight, only you get a room, food, etc.
