Pastor Mark, you are nailing it! The men and women in your congregation are blessed to have a Pastor teaching the Word to them. God Bless You!

I'm really surprised at how few views there are of this sermon. This was excellent and timeless, and useful for every stage of life. Very well done. I've forwarded to most people I know, since I don't know anyone who doesn't struggle with these extended-family issues. Putting it in context of evolving life stages clarifies so much, and puts the right tools and thought-processes in the toolbox as we move through the years.

It's painful situation. Especially if you have parents that believe they are the parents and you have to submit to them, they don't care how you feel or what you think or how your life is all they care is about pleasing them or doing what they say or otherwise you are disrespectful. Lots of families suffer because parents don't understand once your adult child gets married that child doesn't belong to you that child took on a husband or wife and they are establishing a new home. Like you mentioned a lot of parents give you the option of no relationship the way they behave.

Mark, good job. Hits home for a lot of us. Could I please ask a favor of you? I wear a headset and listen to you while I'm working. Could you please position your microphone to where it's not as easy to hear you swallow. Thank you brother keep up the good work I really enjoyed your sermons. My mother is bedridden but I got her a TV that you can stream your phone to. I use your sermons on Sunday as our church time. My mother really likes your sermons also. Keep up the great work
