I think most of you are missing the point, the warewolves are a metaphor for how Eddy felt as a teenager. Hairy, shy, always the easy target for kids to pick on, but on the inside he had his beautiful voice & song writing. With that, people started to finally accept him. This is why I love you, Moose Blood.

Matt Ao it's just moose blood and it's fucking awesome but if you really want to get into the nitty gritty then it probably reminds you of some of the songs off of deja entendu by Brand New
I actually have had this album sitting in my living room for years... but alas, it's not the song I'm thinking of. Brand New is just a little too punky, Moose Blood reminds me of a slightly more poppy band... maybe one day I'll remember, and report back
The hook in the chorus sounds a bit like a lower tempo version of "Slow Down" by Look See Proof (2006!).

I am a former magazine editor (NIN9VOLT) and started listening to Moose Blood just last year. I am likely a little bit older in age than the band's core audience, but I am definitely a fan (my favorite band of all time in The Replacements). I am smitten with all of these newer bands that most of my generation has not the time or desire to seek out. God, there are so fucking many... but you younger cats are so lucky to have sounds from the likes of mewithoutYou, Into It. Over It., Rogue Wave, Death Grips, Radical Face, etc. in your ears.
I found "Knuckles" to be a total departure (no pun for sure) from the songs on Departures. At least that's what I thought at the beginning., I fear these guys are going to get overcooked by commercial "alternative" radio. This song is so fucking brilliant. I ordered two copies of Blush on pink/black vinyl with a special 7" treat as soon as I found out it was available to pre-order. And then I heard this song, and I about lost my shit. I mean, It grooves, it rocks, it makes the cool girls shake their hips, it makes a buzz so much better sort of like a drag tastes after a bing hit, and it can even make you feel cool as shit, sort of like Archers of Loaf's "Web in Front" did when you heard it for the first time. The true test for me of a great song is one that that is so good, it makes you turn your volume up LOUD the second time you hear it. Or even as soon as the first chorus begins its anthemic climb. I don't even know what my point is here. I just adore this song and really look forward to the record coming out. I just hope their core fanbase doesn't begin to think of them as another cliche as commercial radio latches on. Can you see a Friday concert in the park with Good Morning America? It was wrong to do, but my generation of music lovers were so fickle, as soon as the world discovered our favorite band, we were on to something with a much lower common denominator. Don't make that mistake when these guys blow it wide open.

I used to cry when I listened to Moose Blood because it reminded me of my toxic relationship, but now I feel like everything had a reason, two immature young people = broken heart and many scars. Our relationship didn't work out but thanks for leaving this master piece on my playlist, thanks also to my ex boyfriend's roommate who introduced us to this band with a very random invitation to their show. We had fun before we ruined each others life.
I feel you, their first couple of albums got me through my toxic relationship too. I know it seems hard to believe but sometimes things have a way of working themselves out, it's difficult but you have to try and find the light in it. I never realized how fucked up my relationship with my ex was until I finally let go and started putting myself first. Once you figure out what's right for you instead of being blinded by what a significant others opinion is about you, I promise you will find true happiness. You are strong, you'll learn to be independent, and you deserve love, especially from yourself. Hope this helps ❤

One of my most recent discoveries this band. Love pretty much everything they've done. Get a very melancholic/nostalgic feeling listening to these guys. Like they were the soundtrack to my teenage years even though they weren't if that makes sense

This video is so pure in originality. I get it's a parody but the song and subject matter are so impactful. My dad was a hard rock fan but this video showed everyone was an individual. Moose Blood showed immense courage in equating death to perseverance, that's why their logo is tattooed on me forever. Moose Blood has gotten me through my dad's death and helped me grow into my own life:
