Yes, this is the grace we need to find ourselves & our Gd-passion!What about us who are a generation or two removed and trying to return??!!! We don't FEEL stuck; we ARE stuck!!! I feel like I've had a carrot dangled b4 my nose for 40+ years (or closer to 60; I'm 60) & never able to reach it, much of the time it has been lies & deceit. I'm stuck in a situation 145km away from Shul & trying to read the silence (the no-replies)... ..., and surely there must be other ways than getting to full-time Yeshiva at Shul every day, like, perhaps a Qibbutz-style set-up maybe that could work... just to get to a point and reach certain milestones; to counsel us on the Halakha for our unique situations & trials... like getting the drivers' licence and then the real learning begins coz then you're practising; & then one can take more advanced driving courses. We're SO ALONE, having been rejected by all as we've walked away progressively from secularism, Xianity, dysfunction! Full on Jews have other Jews. We have NO-ONE, I mean it, NO-ONE!!! At least, I know that speaks for me & a good-few others out there!!!

Yes! I have been connecting to my Jewish soul and finding in Torah so much truth but what resonates for me is the relationship ......and slowly the words begin to be a channel for my yearning.....thank you for your sincere words.....
I don't daven these days although I was raised with it because it does not feel right for me personally. Instead I talk to the Ribono Shel Olam in my own language and in my heart all the time. Thank you for your beautiful and heartfelt words.

This scenario has played out many times in my life. namely giving myself some leeway in halacha to enable my emotions or understanding to catch up. Sometimes it was a rabbi who gave me license to be lenient and sometimes it was myself. A rabbi once told me that you have to feel like a בעל בחירה, like you have a choice. I try to always feel like I'm choosing to pray our to do some other mitzvah. Feeling compelled doesn't last long for me nowadays. Thanks for sharing your experiences Rabbi Katz.
Great talk. I think that all of prayer, aside from the Amidah, should be sung aloud. Space should be made for musical accompaniment for prayer during the week. The hushing and rushing can be maddening if you are honestly trying your best in prayer. No prayer ever went unanswered. ❤ blessings

I have the same experience. I feel we must connect with each other to rise together. I sincerely wish that Israel should stand up against darwinism and proclaim in eyes of the whole world that we believe in the Creator and the truth of creation and the universal flood and the nations should abide by the 7 Noahide laws and we are not happy with them. This would surely be a powerful means to begin loving our Jewish brothers and sisters like ourselves and be like prayer in the eyes and ears of Hashem and He will begin to fight against our ennemis and destroy and reduce them to dust

it works as you say , yeshiva was a burden and I was expelled after grade 3. At about age 60 I felt inside a thirst inside for the spiritual .
I have the same experience. I feel we must connect with each other to rise together.
