Ceramics workshop in Huacahuasi with Trekking for Kids - Mountain Lodges of Peru

Mountain Lodges of Peru is proud to present a new community project in the remote village of Huacahuasi in partnership with Trekking for Kids, a non-profit 501 (c)(3) corporation that organizes purpose-driven treks around the world. Work has started for the construction of a ceramics workshop in the remote mountain village of Huacahuasi in an effort to encourage trade skills to local children where pottery-making can be both a source of income and a means to uphold traditional artisan crafts. The project seeks to reduce the conditions of poverty by improving the quality of life in the communities where Mountain Lodges of Peru operates.
