Magnificent Royal guardsmen. The horses are beautiful and well taken care of. The bugler's are robust with sound. May Oueen Elizabeth II rest in peace.

I agree 👍 this is a very good part of history and very elegant horses they are very beautiful horses king Charles 111 deserve this wonderful ceremony as his royal loyalty responsibilities and duties to the next generation of his royal children and grandchildren what a great honor 🎖 🥇 🙏 🙂 respect to king Charles the 111 we appreciate seeing the ceremony 🙌 for king Charles the 111 so many people came out to welcome king Charles 🤴 the 111 he's always been luv by us all and he truly God's spirit that walks among us to serve as God's servant king Charles the 111 the king as excepted so much of God's wisdom and knowledge to lead us what a wonderful heart it was God's time for king Charles 🤴 it was a beautiful celebration thank you for sharing this wonderful day of ceremony celebration 🎑 thank God for his time for he knows the time for everything patience and time it not about us God Bless all of you and God peace be with all of you
I imagine the greatest care, discretion, and suitability is taken in choosing horses for these ceremonial units and activities. Is there any effort made to acquire horses of roughly the same color for each unit? One unit seemed to have darker brown or black horses, while the other had some that were lighter brown; or perhaps that was simply my perception given the lighting and shadows. The buglers were both on white horses. I'm assuming that's deliberate?
I always wish they would comment for all these military uniforms...what actual era...century, decade of that century were they worn...it would make these ceremonial displays all that more interesting....
The mounted soldiers in red uniform and gold on the helmets are in the Lifeguards Regiment and are the oldest regiment in the British army The mounted soldiers in blue uniform with the red on the helmets are in the blues and royals guards regiment ( I believe they are an amalgamation of two regiments ) . Look up their history and battle honours , also look up the rest of the army's regiments history. These are done privately so might not know the history of the regiment plus it may be too noisy for them to do , keep asking and someone will tell you, look up also The Trooping of the Colour from the bbc they do give plenty of information if not a bit too much and sometimes miss timed , look up all of it , usually in 4 videos due to it being approximately 3 hrs long . These soldiers normally drive tanks / armoured vehicles
Are you serious, biggest gathering of world leaders and dignitaries coming to funeral, together with hundreds and thousands of visitors! With the many lunatics in this country we should take care. CynthiaB
Police are there for crowd control, and any of other mishaps that may occur, military are not there as security they are performing their own duties. The only time I have seen the military involved was the Iran Embassy bombing.
The red uniform is The Lifeguards formed in 1922 from the amalgamation of the 1st and 2nd Lifeguards, their history goes back to Charles 2nd when they were a group of gentlemen in exile with him, they remained gentleman troopers untill 1788 when they started recruiting from common people, the 2nd Lifeguards were originally horse Grenadiers (mounted infantry). The Blues uniform is The Blues an Royals formed in 1969 from the amalgamation of the Royal Horse Guards(The Blues) and the 1st Dragoons (The Royals) The Royal Horse Guards were a Parlimentary regiment raised on Cromwells orders in 1650 who switched sides just before the restoration, The Royals were formed in 1661 from veterans of the new model army.
I think it's just the changing of the guard. The different coloured uniforms belong to two different Regiments, they belong to what is called The Household Cavalry, those in red are the Life Guards, and those in blue, (not black) are the Blues and Royals, when they are not on ceremonial duties, they are Armoured Regiments in the British Army.
Both the Red and Blue uniforms are part of the Household Cavalry. The Red uniform is worn by the Life Guards the senior regiment in the British army formed in 1650, the Blue Uniform is worn by the Blues and Royals which were two cavalry units, the Royal Horse Guards and Royal Dragoons (Both regiments date back to the 17th Century) they were merged together in 1969 to form the Blues and Royals. Both Regiments have served in Iraq, Afghanistan with their armoured reconnaissance vehicles.

@ John sometimes off and sometimes on The British monarchy not only pays their own way, they support and subsidize many industries throughout the United Kingdom with their patronage. They never talk about it, but the contribution they make to the economy is significant. Everyone of them, with the exception of Andrew and Harry, consider themselves a member of the firm, and they are workers in that firm. Harry did not want to work and Andrew was too unpopular to work.

Why is it so impossible for tourist to be quiet?
Was thinking the same thing.
Ironic that a British person is commenting on the behaviour of tourists. Weren’t you the guys that Amsterdam wants fully banned?

The tourists that came in the last week deffinatly got their moneys worth in things to see in London then anyone has.

For sure they put on a good show 😊
I wish someone will see to the obvious discomfort of the horses. Why do they keep moving their heads up and down?
The only place in the world where the Kings guards need guards and those guards need guards.
so they honor the new king "Charles in charge" LOL
God save the King
Jonny Lydon I heard is writing ✍️ the New Version, see how that goes 😃😉

Yes, as part of the cavalry regiment the light greys were reserved for a few, mainly commanders and buglers, as they would stand out on a battlefield

what kind of horses are these in the royal guard
I googled it. Irish horses!
OMG 😳, Amazing wonderful country, is England citizenships.
why do they have such heavily armed police there?. I've noticed that in quite a few videos.

Theres always heavy security around the palace and surrounding places.

Can someone explain what is going on here please? What's the difference between the red and the black uniform?

@@daneelolivaw602 Oh yes they are blue. I had to go back and at around 1:55 I can see the color better. Sorry about that.
The bit in one of the horses mouth is making his tongue stick out. It’s PAINFUL for the horse! I’m surprised the horse didn’t rear up due to it
Is it rehearsal
No. Just routine part of daily Changing of the Guard.
Can someone explain difference between the red uniforms and black uniforms? And I read the description but does not explain what is happening
Both the Red and Blue uniforms are part of the Household Cavalry. everyone loves horses, the king maybe not so much
In Charles younger days he played alot of polo.
Why would one bring a dog there? And why would one allow a child to yell so loud they can be heard above anyone there
Interesting, because I heard a dog barking inside the westminster hall, while watching the Queens vigil on youtube today. I was stunned 😲.

Have you never been or known anyone who is in the military? You need to get out more!

Considering that both his parents lived into their late 90s, genetics is on his side.
