    Appreciate your effort for recording this stair tutorial. FYI, ArchiCAD 24 is able to draw continuous staircase (flights + landing slab) now

      Hi, thanks. Yes, I've recently recorded an ArchiCAD Design new course for Linkedin Learning (to be released soon) where I explain how to use the stair tool in v24 (stairs & landings) I also have a similar course available on my archi-ed website.

    user friendly my ass absolutely hate the new stair should have kept at least the previous settings aswell....to create a simple stair which took like 15 sec now takes a weekend especially for older people who are using the software and dont know english very well they might aswell quit their profession

    Any reason you didn't use U shape with landing instead of 2 non linked flights and slab?

      you can create stair in u shape without using slab? cause im looking for that tutorial

      I was mostly trying to explain to my students just how simple and intuitive the new tools are. Personally I love the fact that the rail will relate to multiple elements rather than just one object.

    I don't know what people are talking about... I'm using Archicad 22, haven't used Archicad before. It's not so difficult. The first time yes, you have to spent 2-3 hours understanding the setting etc, but later you get used to it.

    Hi there! I was wondering if you can create a slab which from three directions will have stairs. But not just independent stairs, I want to create these stairs to be the continuity of each other and therefore they will form an angle. Does that make sense?

    • @RobertMannArchitect

      no, they would need to be seperate stairs, but they could (and should) all have the same settings

    Hi. Thanks for the vid! Why am I not having the Flexible option in the Linked - Not linked rool down menu ?

      I'm not a big fan of the AI flexible stretch option. I tend to work out the maths first, and lock out the riser & going values before modelling.

    great if you got rid of those extrasounds .. error from machine ... else really good intro to the stairtool. but how does it work with the custom stair ..

    The stair tool does not work in Archicad 23. Paid $6,500 for a headache. I have been using Archicad since 2003 and older versions are way more efficient than the recent ones.

      Hi Marcia, you're not alone. Unfortunately the stair tool, although can be very useful, is not very intuitive, clunky and not easy to use without understanding its intricacies. At first I have found my own method of creating stairs just quicker and simpler, than spending the time learning the tool - which is absolutely fine!
      I have since spent a bit of time with the stair and rail tools and will soon be producing a focused short course on it using ArchiCAD 23. Check out our ArchiEd website for more content - www.archi-ed.com

    Hi, Is there any way that you can share that cheat sheet??

    • @RobertMannArchitect
      @RobertMannArchitect  5 лет назад

      Hi Jose, I am currently editing this cheat sheet with the hope to make it available for download soon. You will be able to find this at www.archi-ed.com.au under the resources tab once I have created it. Please check out what is there now, and check back in a week. Hopefully I will have it up by then.

    what is the problem with archi 21 not showing the stairs in 3D perspective view i was hopping you'd touch on that

    • @blizzard9485
      @blizzard9485 6 лет назад

      sometimes stairs are filtered in 3D(this happened to me). Ctrl+Alt+A to open Filter and cut elements in 3D and turn on stairs. hope that works
