Norberis!!!! First off I love the channel and respect your hard work. Next, I'm originally from New York City and I understand your friends, family, other Dominicans misconception of the United states is New York lol because the Dominican population in New York is huge. I would say that New York is like home away from home for Dominicans. I'm very glad your program was in Huntsville,AL instead of New York. Most people living in New York have to work 2 to 3 jobs 7 days a week just to pay bills. Also the money your paying rent for an apartment in New York you can take that money and buy a house down south. I've seen the stress and struggle my parents went through growing up in New York. I currently live in the Northern Virginia(DC area) and I like visiting New York however I don't plan on moving back.

Can you do a video on the difference in health insurance between RD & USA? Does health insurance in USA can be used in RD? What about pharmacy drug plan from USA to be used in RD? Thanks!
A lot of Republicans complain about Latinx immigrants taking American jobs, but the sad truth is that very few Americans can endure working in such harsh and abusive conditions and slave labour is still what supports the American economy.

I will say this it was a wake up call to say the least...lol! In Dominican Republic race is not an issue and I've never experienced it. There were 3 type of people in Alabama, white, black, and mexican. Everyone falls into one of the 3. Nationality doesn't matter there. They treat you how you look. I can't say I had bad experiences there but I know others who have especially the DOminican guys who came in the same group with me.
I learned at the job I was working with in Alabama. It took me about 1 year to learn English. After 2 years I could fully comprehend and read english although my speaking is not yet fluent.
Yes, the program is still around but the criteria to get approved is tougher now. The company I went through is no longer open. You can probably google H2B visa program to see one that are available.

I respect your decision for doing what you did. Ironically, I believe that the place to be after living 59 years in the USA...Is the Dominican Republic! As I will soon be a retired Expat. The quality of life due to exchange rates, and natural living in DR...the States can't match in my opinion. Maybe, you can introduce me, to a friend of yours still living in DR. I'm looking for an Assistant to teach and work with for Business.(Legit) That I'll be doing in DR... You are an inspiration to me, and I'm sure others! #Hotep
I agree with you totally. Yes, I'm glad to be given the opportunity to become a citizen. It's almost like the best of both worlds. However, living in the DR and the quality of life there is much better. I prefer living there, granted I'll able to make my money in dollars here. But that time is coming sooner rather than later. I have no plans to be a full time resident here in the states. There are lot of things the States has to offer that I enjoy having access to, so having that freedom to move go back and forth I like. I can help you as much as I can in finding someone to work with. What type of person/qualities are you looking for?
I did not know English when I arrive in the US. Just basics, like "hello", "how are you", ect. I could not hold a conversation and I did not understand.
There are many Dominicans in Spain however, a lot Dominicans have family in the States and also the proximity to the country. Its easier to back and forth to the US than Europe.
I'm actually going to do a video on that. But I mostly learned working in that factory. Everyone spoke English so I was forced to learn. Plus I wanted to learn.

No, haven't at least not to the point it was overt. Of course living in Alabama you get stares that make you uncomfortable especially with me because I look black but I spoke Spanish. The people who mainly spoke Spanish there were Mexicans and Guatemalans. So it was difficult in the beginning. Here in South Florida people look at you crazy for Speaking English...lol!
I am sure when you tell friends and fam that Money don't fall from the sky and they have to work very hard, I bet they don't believe you either lol.... With the internet, I really thought people would see if for what it is, but Nah... I guess with the internet, esp social media, people show off more and put on a front like they are living lavish. So they don't get to see it when they travel to said country, but live everyday in front of them 24/7.....

Getting a visa and green card, and what we should do to prepare we have been talking back and fourth on line for all most a year now and have really been discussing about how we would go about get her here, I know there are a few different visa but which one is the best route
The fastest one is the fiancé visa. She can go with that Visa and after you can get married there to start the legal process. 2nd way is getting married in DR and then submit the paper work for her to get approval for a residence card. This process generally takes from 6 to 12 months.

This is very true. I realized quickly when I arrived...lol! Dominicans on the island think the money falls from the sky here, but people work very hard here.
If you don't fall in the debt trap trying to impress others and minimize your expenses, you can save a lot of money and use it for whatever venture you want to take on, anywhere in the world.
You are correct. I admit I fell into the trap..lol! But I dug myself out as soon as I realized it...
I'm glad your here and working hard towards your dream cutie. In america the only thing that's guaranteed is the pursuit for happiness. En otras palabras es la oportunidad al sueño y lo demás cae en tus ganas de progresar. I have a feeling you'll do fine. Mazel tov 👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Gracias!
I’m from St.Louis Mo. and l lived in Huntsville Al. for 10yrs it’s a world of its own. Leaving a big city going to that little country town was kinda difficult for me, I went back home but I’m glad I left the STL even if I came back 💯
Yes, Huntsville is a very different world even coming from Santo Domingo. I was use to people walking the streets. There everyone have cars...lol!
Can you do a video on the difference in health insurance between RD & USA? Does health insurance in USA can be used in RD? What about pharmacy drug plan from USA to be used in RD? Thanks!
I can research it see what I can find to do a video.
A lot of Republicans complain about Latinx immigrants taking American jobs, but the sad truth is that very few Americans can endure working in such harsh and abusive conditions and slave labour is still what supports the American economy.
I just wanted to point out that you are not lucky... You are blessed. God is great.
Yes, God is great!
I am from Cuba and live in Chicago for 25 years and I planning retirement in u beautiful country RD ... here only health insurance is almost 800 at month... is impossible afford one , plus rent and few things more I work only for pay , I love USA and I am very agradecido for the oportunidades q me ha dado ...
I enjoy your video's love your accent and you are a beautiful Dominican woman.
Wow, thanks!
You have great content on your channel. I'm dating a Dominican woman now and agree with a lot you have said. Also the way you say Alabama is so cute lol...
Hahahahaha...my accent is bad...lol! I'm glad you enjoy the content. Doe sshe live in DR or in the States?
@@NorberisR She lives here. She only lived there thru middle school age in the DR so she's kind of Americanized lol
@@lildudefromacrossdastreet7038 Lol! Hopefully her Dominican roots are strong. Does she visit the country often?
@@NorberisR Very strong. She's taking me for my 1st visit next year, hence your info has been very helpful and some things echoed things she's already told me.
@@NorberisR And one other thing. I don't know where the stereotype came from that Dominicans don't like black men. While I am a light skin black man, many Dominican woman I've encountered in Florida like me. And I got some Dominican guys I hang with from time to time.
Hi Norberis, My Brother in law lives is Santo Domingo (Los Mina) and I wanted to know more about that Visa program. Any advise you could give would be great. Keep up the great work on your videos. By the way love the culture everyone Treats me good when I am staying in Los Mina.
I'm not sure if that program is still around in DR because is been 12 years since I used it. I know the program itself does exist. Its called the H2-B Visas program. You can google it and see what comes up. I can check around to see if anybody has used it or know of it since I came to the States. I'm glad you enjoyed the videos. I appreciate you watching.
@@NorberisR I will definitely Google the program. If you ask around that would be great. Thank you.
Wow...Norberis...what an interesting story
Thank you! Nice hearing from you. Hadn't seen you around in a while...(-:
Congratulations. Your experiences are similar too most foreigners that come to the United States. You've shown with dictation and hard work, all things are possible..
Thank you for those words.
I would love to hear more about your experiences here in the U.S.
Thank you...I plan on sharing more of that in my upcoming videos. Thank you again for watching...
So how did you end up in Florida from Huntsville, Alabama, what brought you where you are now? And do you have any family and or children in the States with you now? Peace and continued Blessings unto you...;-)
I was ready for a change and decided to move. Yes, I have family in the States.
Dasan Omar Huntsville is a very nice place. I visited there 2 years ago.
Great story!
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it.
Great video I wish you success & what day is your birthday & I know it's coming so I can send u a special birthday greeting
Thank you❤.
Congratulations 👏
Thank you 🙌
Absolutely beautiful..
Thank you.
did you move back to Dominican republic? this video is very informative
Not yet.
I Plan to go to Dominican Republic in January to find me a respectful Wife.
Interesting. Never hear of those types of work programs.
Yes, they exist. I havent heard much about them lately.
I know exactly what company you are talking about. My son and daughter in law worked there briefly. It was horrible.
👍.
great video im planning to visit santo domingo for vacation and find someone I can bring home to the states and form a family any recommendations and more information about the program im from LA thanks
There are plenty of women you will meet in Santo Domingo. Stay away from tourist areas looking for women. I don't know much about the program anymore. It's been so long ago.
Norberis R. Ok thanks do you recommend any online sites or is it a waste of time
@@musicislife2000 I do not recommend online sites. Many women on those site are looking for you to send money.
nice beautiful lady I'm glad you're in U.S.A. I.m american but I also come from another country I call U.S.A. God'Land I kiss the ground love this country so...so...so much
I'm not in the USA anymore, I'm back in DR. However, I too like the USA.
Great video as always, we're you treated fairly in Alabama, did you experience any prejudice?
I will say this it was a wake up call to say the least...lol! In Dominican Republic race is not an issue and I've never experienced it. There were 3 type of people in Alabama, white, black, and mexican. Everyone falls into one of the 3. Nationality doesn't matter there. They treat you how you look. I can't say I had bad experiences there but I know others who have especially the DOminican guys who came in the same group with me.
Your English is very Good. Where did you learn English and how long did it take you to learn?
I learned at the job I was working with in Alabama. It took me about 1 year to learn English. After 2 years I could fully comprehend and read english although my speaking is not yet fluent.
Hi I have a friend in D.R. she has a Visa but what would be the easiest way she get a work Visa to eventually become an actual naturalized citizen?
Well the work visa just make you be legal and able to work now I do not know the process from a work visa to be able to apply for a residency.
Is that program still around I have a friend over there in the dr I want to tell about it
Yes, the program is still around but the criteria to get approved is tougher now. The company I went through is no longer open. You can probably google H2B visa program to see one that are available.
Hello Norberis. Do you still live in Huntsville Alabama?
No, I live in South Florida.
I love your accent 😍
Thank you!
Many come to canada too for work interesting story
I've heard of workers from Jamaica going to Canada to work. I didn't realize Dominicans were going also. What part of Canada?
@@NorberisR Montreal mostly
That's good to know. Thank you so much for watching.
Yes I explain to my friends in the DR the reality of the United States, many of them don’t understand life is hard in the states too. And yes that is true about Dominicans thinking the United States only consists of Newyork 😂 my friends from the dr always think that
thank you for subscribing. its hard for dominicans to understand when all they see on tv are rappers, athletes, and movie stars. i use to think the same way but i woke up real fast when i go there (-:
Norberis R. Your husband is subscribed to my channel and he told me about your channel, your videos are really good! Keep up the good work
@@ItsJrodtravel oh wow, thats great! thanks for the encouraging words. I'll return the support on your channel.
@@NorberisR Introduce me to a friend of yours, that is like you...and I'll be great! :-)
@@NorberisR Your husband got a good one with you...beautiful and smart! #Hotep
Lol....ok! I'll keep that in mind.
@@NorberisR Lol is dude flirting with you through RUclips? 😂😂😂😂😂😂 Duuuuuude!!!
Did you learn English before you went to the US or while you was there?
I did not know English when I arrive in the US. Just basics, like "hello", "how are you", ect. I could not hold a conversation and I did not understand.
Where are you working now?
I work for myself.
@@NorberisR Good.....I want to travel...I like what I see
Why is it that Dominicans do not consider Spain instead of the U.S. ?
There are many Dominicans in Spain however, a lot Dominicans have family in the States and also the proximity to the country. Its easier to back and forth to the US than Europe.
How did you learn english?
I'm actually going to do a video on that. But I mostly learned working in that factory. Everyone spoke English so I was forced to learn. Plus I wanted to learn.
@@NorberisR Is the video complete yet hermana?
I want will not stand for 12 hours. I use to do 8 hours standing for minimum wage. I did it for two years and I hated it but it was a job
It was very hard. There is no way I could do that now...lol!
Oh GOD I know that CD packaging plant in Huntsville, Alabama that you are speaking of ... hahahaha ... I hate that town !!! Welcome to America. I want to move to Dominican Republic ... I'd like to hear more about why you don't think it's a good place to live ...

Thank you
Norberis R. Your welcome
At least you see it's A struggle.
Definitely☺.
Have you ever experienced racism in America? If so please make a video!!
Till this day most of my family still dont understand...lol! Im tired of explaining it to them.
you are such a cute girl. you're so cool.

Why?
Cause you'll never get ahead there which is the reason why the rest of hace left as well

I am trying to bring my girlfriend here from DR what are some things we need to know
Regarding what?
Getting a visa and green card, and what we should do to prepare we have been talking back and fourth on line for all most a year now and have really been discussing about how we would go about get her here, I know there are a few different visa but which one is the best route
The fastest one is the fiancé visa. She can go with that Visa and after you can get married there to start the legal process. 2nd way is getting married in DR and then submit the paper work for her to get approval for a residence card. This process generally takes from 6 to 12 months.
Thank you for your the information will be looking into this
If u need papers i got u.
Lol! I'm a Legal US citizen.
