every bit, every second here is just pure distilled genius even when the spanish annunciator kicks in. so halcyon and eerie and overwhelming...what a band that was back then
saw them many times, but never in the 90s or early 00s. Their L&G in full in Barbican is the gig of my live. But that was a one off, normal gigs nowadays are nowhere near the intensity and sonic exploration of t h o s e gigs when they were at the pinnacle of their powers
I was there! Their best line up ever, pure electricity. Sadly not so brilliant as composers later in Lupine Howl. They did smoke way a lot of joints before the set. Nice VHS color saturation and pixelation effects, too. Gracias, yo tampoco lo encontraba.
@@paulmessis1094 until recently I would have agreed but the bassist touring with the band now (james stelfox I believe) is brilliant, absolutely up there with carruthers and cook. Carruthers will always be my favourite though.
My god, I took a few photos and a couple of vids, not a thing I normally do (as I'm aware of people behind me), but this year, and especially THIS BAND...I had to. No regrets..❤

este concierto por la tele fué genial!! me alegra ver que alguien lo ha subido... hace poco, porque lo había buscado y no lo había encontrado. No tienes los dos primeros temas?
Jan/'22 Mojo brought me here. Never heard them before. Not sure how I made it thru that first instrumental track. Come on guys, rock and roll has lyrics! Sounded pretty good with the singing, even if the baby-talk vocals aren't exactly my thing. ----- Yo! Where's Johnny Rotten when you need him? :-) ------ And these guys won some kind of contest with OK Computer?
The first instrumental track is the intro. Most rock bands with substance have them. And you’re right about them beating out Ok computer for album of the year. Deservingly so. Spiritualized aren’t pretentious nerds like Radiohead. Jason Pierce is cool as a spring breeze

Far and away their best lineup....what a band.
a wonder to behold! pure, magical, healing music... thank you's to all involved! Cheers all
Come Together... What A Tuuuuune x
With the grin at 17:04 - you know he feels it too when the beat kicks in. Just utter bliss.
and this is the video that introduced me to spiritualized
The drummer looks like he's on some good shit

Spiritualized is still performing. Seek them out.

I can see a Lupine Howl in Spiritualized...BRILLIANT, just BRILLIANT!!! THANKS!
Considering Damon Reece & Sean Cook were in Spiritualized!
Jason is out of his head by the looks of things?
Superb version of Electric Mainline great Tune
Omg the theremin!

vibe killing voiceover @13:59
Julian Cope shirt👌🏼
wow.
pure eletricity
I don't know how Jason ever thought he could do better than this band. This lineup rocked and they've not been as interesting live since.
He didn't want to pay them properly and they left the band!
I knew that, but his mistake. He should have kept these guys. I spent some time with them in Atlanta and they were super cool.
I tell you what though, 21/09/18 rocked.
My first - maybe last time seeing them..??
It meant alot.
Both Willie and Sean Cook were unique bass players who had real soul, the bassists since lack any vibe.

thanks for this upload this is amazing
Surely the best line up of all time?
This is 21 years old & you have come to this conclusion now well 2 yrs ago what took you all so long?
I was thinking the exact same thing.
Electric Mainline is the best!
no puedo creer que corten en plena intro de think im in love para dar datos de la band... FTW !!

También lo grabé. Apoteósico.
This is ace..!!
Cocaine meter might go from "0" to "Damon Reece" in this gig, but man… what a performance! :O
more like heroine
I wanna be that wired all the time

Seria genial que publicaran todos los primeros conciertos de Radio 3, por lo menos hasta el año 2004 aproximadamente. Remasterizados y en condiciones.
that right hand is stealthy.
What a shame you get the "announcement" during the music!
Otherwise sublime
fuckin amazing !!!
Hay un lugar especialmente reservado em el infierno para la mina que habla en plena canción y manda a la mierda I Think Im In Love !!!
Drummer speeding his ass off
TOTALLY!!! 😂

@@thomasbamford9513 cool homie, go listen to OK computer now
Think Doves took this intro, added a bit more won't get fooled and hit the ground running with Winter Hill
Urgh, voiceover.
