I loved the "vibrant" setting on my iPhone 12. Took amazing photos without fussing. I just got the iPhone 16 and while it has a vibrant style, trying to find the equivalent color and brightness as I had on my 12 naturally is incredibly frustrating. I have spent hours trying to get something to match that same aesthetic.
Yeah its kinda tough to match the colors. Each scene is different so both phones would output a different photo with their own color processing. Correct me if I’m wrong, the iPhone 12 didn’t have a photo profile option. Started with the 13 right?! Not a 100% sure.
Yeah I am using the iphone 13 I feel like the photos are little foggy effected. Its just not true colours. Its like washed out effect.. I comepare it to my older 8 plus and some cases I find 8 plus doing better.. but in low light 13 is great
Oh ok. Thanks for letting me know! Sucks that it happens. I think it’s an easy software fix but I think that ship has sailed. Happens less so that’s a positive.
Most of the photos can be edited after to add white balance etc etc etc.... And also videos can also be edited to add brightness. in after editing..
Good review

these photos look foggy for some reason. maybe smudges on the lens?
The lens was cleaned. I’m doing a 11 vs 12 vs 13 test soon. Lets see what comes out of that one.
for the 13, change you PHOTOGRAPHY STYLE in the camera settings
Yes you can
I like this video 👍

13 better because have f 1/1.5 more bright
It doesnt. It’s f/1.6 but it shouldn’t be as bright as it is in the photos.
very good
I think it’s cause of the camera placements…
What thing?
@ lighting
Oh ok. Could be. another commenter mentioned the same issue. So it’s certainly not a one off issue
