    Great video. What should be the volume of a conventional bcc unit cell?

      The conventional unit cell is a cube of lattice parameter a. Thus its volume is a^3.

      sc , bcc, fcc having lattice parameter a then vol of the conventional unit cell for this trio be a^3

    thanks, is the lattice parameter, a, just the length of the cubes edges?

      Yes, for cubic crystal we take that to be the only parameter. Other five parameters are understood to be given: b=a, c=a, alpha=90 deg, beta=90 deg and gamma= 90 deg.

    determine the angle between the primitive vectors in bcc structure

      @rajeshprasadlectures  2 месяца назад

      Since the primitive vectors of a BCC are along the body diagonal of a cube, these angles can be easily calculated as cos^-1 (-1/3) =109.5 Degrees.
