Ronald Reagan was certainly one of the greatest Presidents America has seen in a while. He may have been the president, and he was very serious about his job as the leader, but all aside, he really knew how to make the world laugh in any of his speeches. President Reagan died when I was only 3 years old, and Nancy died when I was 15. What an amazing couple, and they will, for sure, be missed in the future ahead. God Bless them both.

Reagan Diary Entry for this: "My birthday! After usual meetings went over to E.O.B. to address meeting of Private sector Initiative supporters-prepared speech in hand. Walked into the auditorium which was filled with Cabinet & executive staff people & the Marine band. The band play “76 Trombones.” Nancy appeared from no where wheeling a giant birthday cake. The whole meeting had been a frame up to achieve a very successful surprise party."

I don’t recall any of the last three or four presidents having birthday parties on their actual birthdays like he did. In 1985, Reagan gave the state of the union address on his 74th birthday and had the entire Congress sing happy birthday to them after the speech. In 1986, there was the annual executive forum with a surprise birthday cake, then this year 1987, in 1988 they unveiled the new Marvin Hamlisch march in honor of President Reagan on his last birthday as president.

I still like to say Happy Birthday to President Reagan, because I still remember his President and Vice President Bush 41 at the time, plenty jobs by very strong economy growing, military strength was very strong. Allies were very close to America’s world leadership status efforts, Americans were very united together without dramatic inflations. Walked on the street, often saying good morning or how are you at the time as very friendly toward each other. RIP President Reagan and President Bush 41. They will be always remembered and cherished.
