Thanks for the comment, Mike. Exactly, what was the point of doing that? unless their printing form is too small, I think it's only one possible explanation.
Oleg, thank you so much for pointing out and then dealing with a couple of fit issues on this SPAD. It's extremely helpful and I have made a note to review your video to remind me what to watch for when I get around to building my Roden SPAD. Glad to see the decals have improved and a wonderful paint job you've done. Cheers!
A weird paint scheme but a job well done, FCM but I guess it was a form of camouflage when on the ground.....like the German lozenge patterns of the same era. It's good to know that Roden has its act together with their decals of late, unlike the disastrous ones in the past. Let's hope that it continues from now on. That mesh looks spot-on by the way.
Love your videos! Always happy when i get notified about a new one. I just started the Roden SE5a. I'd love to see what you would do with an SE5a or a Sopwith Triplane. Keep up the awesome work!
Thank you for watching!!! I built both of them many years ago and I liked Sopwith Triplane kit very much. I don't have them at the moment, perhaps will buy next year, will see....
Did different versions of the SPAD have different wingtips? Also those decals look like Decagraph to me....same as Dora and ICM. Great job ....tempting to get one myself!
Thank you for showing your problems as well as your successes. I have a Roden SPAD in the stash and will watch this again before I build it.
Glad it was helpful! I wanted to show all problems I had with the kit, so you will be ready for them. Good luck with your build
Great work. The camo and decals really make this build pop.
Thanks, I agree this camo looks very interesting and finally no issues with decals
Another grest lesson in modelling and painting WWI aircraft, thanks for sharing your excellent talent, bedt regards from Australia, Les
Thank you, Les
Very nice work! I must say, I too was baffled by the separated wing tips.

Thank you so much Mark, looking forward to see your Guynemer's SPAD build
Super work as always. I certainly enjoyed this episode.
Thank you David, I'm glad that you liked it
Another great video. Interesting about the fit of Roden kits. Thanks - I always look forward to your uploads.
Thanks for watching Trevor. You will always need some files, putty and sanding paper with Roden kits (at least for now)
Love watching your builds. Your tips and techniques will be handy when I tackle similar kits in the near future.
Thank you so much, Ronald!!

Thank you so much, This color scheme was the standard for all US planes (SPADs and Nieuports), unlike French ones, and, I believe it worked very well.
Very nice work
Thank you, Steven!!!

I believe so, SPAD XIII is improved version, so it had differences in comparison with SPAD VII
