My band’s singer is in love with Genesis, so we decided to add this one and That’s all to our setlist. I was about to scream and throw my keyboards out of the window, then I discovered your videos and you totally saved my life! Keep up, you’re great! Thank you very much for your effort, which is very helpful also for a lot of us!
Excellent!!! Wow… incredible, awesome sound and playing! Can you help me with the name of the voices patch you play with your left hand? What keyboard is from? Thanks and congratulations 👏🏻👏🏻
You've nailed that DX7 patch! It sounds very similar to "Stratocord," which I believe is the patch Tony originally used. It took me forever to find that patch! In my DX7, I've renamed it "Domino" lol. I think the "so long ago" part features a sitar patch on the DX7. I've actually been working on a full cover of Land of Confusion as well :) I'll have to share it once I'm confident enough in the vocals!
Haha! Can't remember the name of the patch, I haven't played this song since the record, but i'll check! I must agree that finding Tony's patch is always a huge effort 😂 For the "so long ago "part I remember having combined the Dx7 preset with a Synclavier preset which sounded way better.. Sometime the problem you Can have is you found the right preset, but cause you're using the vst and not the real instrument it doesn't sounds 100% the same. Come on be confident dude I want to ear your cover 😅
I remember when I was first looking for the patch, I resorted to starting a forum thread about it! xD There were rumors of patches like "Wirestrung" which wasn't close enough, and Tony hardly modified DX7 patches at all. When I found out it was called Stratocord, I think it was in a really obscure ROM cartridge from a Japanese magazine that isn't included in all the free internet patch .zip files... I think after about three years, somebody emailed me the patch! Anyway, I'll look at my Land of Confusion project and see what I can do, haha
ruclips.net/video/F-TYl0A5jbw/видео.html Alright, I chopped out some of the vocals where it's too embarrassing. This is from years ago, maybe I'll finish it sometime!
@@MathGsr The "so long ago" part is the MKS80 and Prophet 10. On the studio it is also overdubbed with strings from the Emulator 2. Live he used a combination of Electric DX piano and samples of the P10.
@@santibanks it’s Dx7 Electra Piano and a kind of Bell patch with a high filter automation effect. Pretty sure the bell patch is from the Synclavier and not the prophet, I must check my old notes
Merci beaucoup !! Good job !!!
Hey man, what's that keyboard there at the bottom there that says keystation, I'm building a keyboard rig of my own and would like that one there, I wanna be sure I get the right one, thanks
You played it beautifully. Lots of complex little parts in a concise tune. Congratulations!
Thanks a lot !
It's difficult to ear these parts when it's played by the whole band, but it's an intersting song at keyboards view :)

That was great. Would you be willing to share the tabs for the choir sound? Having trouble figuring that one out.

Very capable player you are, this is complicated to play. My favourite keyboard players are Geoff Downes and Jordan Rudess.
Oh I find this one really easy.. Brazilian or Los endos are way harder !
Nice, you have some good references. They are great keyboardist
Great. What's the name of the sound you play the left-hand chords with?
It's a homemade patch. It's close with a choir
Sensacional parabéns
Muito obrigado meu amigo :)
Yassss !!!💓🤩

Great Cover!! Congratulations!!. How did you make those sounds?
Thanks :D
Used Dx7 , prophet, emu 2, cp70 and Synclavier as Vst
🤗 !!!
What key is this song in? I like the way you’re playing it. I want to learn this one.
Thanks :)
Compared with the studio version it's lowered. (It's the live version from Wembley 87)
I also prefer this version for some reasons !
Who touched the thumb down button?
Hahaha 😂😂 but for real, who cares..
@@MathGsr Its Tony Banks!
@@frodegroven why would he do that ? :(
@@MathGsr Because he feels threatened :-)
@@frodegroven but I don’t ! It’s just a tribute job :( please tony thumb up ! Hahaha
Vst Dexed ?
Both Dexed and Arturia.
In Dexed there is « Banks.T » patch which is very good if you edit it!
@@MathGsr Merci 😉
