There are several safes on the map. 1) Meet Mei-Ling and direct her out of that place for getting the safe combination. 2) Rescue the prisoner in the basement to reveal the exact safe location. Just follow my walkthrough.

i like it when the guy explains to 47 about lee hong and his bodyguard and 47 really doesn't give a damn because to him they're just targets that are locked in a huge building with him inside xd
and the hooker's loud sounding steps with her heels on the metal stairs didn't alert the guards just feet away lol... and how the prisoner could just run free without being seen, and how was 47 hiding that big bulky figurine in his shirt lol I can go on and on... but the point is, let's not nitpick, it's a great game with some flaws, sure, but no big deal, it still doesn't take away from the overall experience

KiraleeStrange absolution is bit dumbed down ans straight foward, the older versions was alot more tactical and more choices. and u can switch to 1st person view, but not in absolution. it was just unique, theres no other game liike it. absolution felt too ordinary
Absolution was the first introduction to the series and I’ve seen it catch an excessive amount of flak. Here are the positives that I’ve come from it: It’s a massive improvement in graphics in comparison to other games. That usually happens with all hitman games. H2SA was a massive improvement over CN47, BM was a massive improvement over contracts and H2SA, etc. The difference between absolution though is that I like the models generally used for it more than any other hitman game. While there wasn’t much variety for NPC’s, 47 actually looked like an assassin who worked out. The newer models have him way too skinny for my tastes. The instinct mechanic was introduced, which has its pros and cons. I don’t think 47 should be given the ability to see targets through walls, and I don’t think all enemies should see through your disguise, but I do think that some enemies (enforcers) should be able to see through the disguise, and you should be able to “blend in”, but not all enemies.
Did you get the combination? Do you approach to the right location of the safe? Remember that the safe location in my walkthrough may be different during your gameplay.
in fact not all the missions of codename 47 are here (like the part in colombian for exemple and that's too bad) but it's a good remaster and i can say it ;))))

In Codename 47 the bodyguard would shoot you after being poisoned. Much more realistic reaction. Gabe Newell would do the same thing if you touch his food.

47 does not kill that man, he sedated him with a syringe which is seen in 47’s hand in the cutscene starting the level. If you look on the map the man does not have an “X” on his icon, indicating he is still alive.
The first time I played it, I poisoned the soup so Zun died, Lee Hong ran to his mansion. The second time I took the figurine, got the poison but Lee Hong never showed up 😃 so I went to the mansion to kill him.
IOI wanted to finish the Hitman trilogy with an amazing game but Eidos wanted a new Hitman game in 2 years (we're in 2002). So they split up in two teams, one will continue to make the conclusion of the trilogy (Blood Money) and the other will make a filler game that became Contracts. The Contracts team was small so they did some sort of remake of the 1st game with additionnal original missions and a simple plot that can be linked to the conclusion

Yeah, it's awesome like the Budapest Bath Hotel. Wish both of them get a reappearence in 2016 Hitman game. After all that's a prequel so it fits with the idea.

The voice acting in the first one was more believable too. Better dialogue and cutscenes within the mission. These few missions don't fit the darker theme surrounding this installment in the series.

The agent Will tell where the safe is when you rescue him. You also need the code and you can either get it from Mei Ling (the prostitute) or from Hong after you kill him and searching his body.
Same thing happened to me, I was surprised the fat guy just ran away, i thought he was supposed to shoot at you a few times before falling down and dying from the poisoned soup and then Hong runs away.

And good friggin luck if he says the safe in the private chamber cause that thing is more guarded than a feminist's virginity D:

This game is my first Hitman too. I loved it, I then found Hitman 2 but I prefered still Contracts because of the creepy ambiance

The location changes each time. That's why you need to rescue Smith first, so that he can tell where it is.
The agent Will tell where the safe is when you rescue him. You also need the code and you can either get it from Mei Ling (the prostitute) or from Hong after you kill him and searching his body.
