Exhilarating and terrifying. Which is how I would describe my extremely minor caving experiences. But I have a difficult time imagining what it would be like to actually do this. An incredible achievement.
Great video, I shared some of this with my English student, today we had a reading about the 2004 Garcia-Dils expedition that got to 1840m, and I want him to see what it looked like in the cave. The reading said that a Ukrainian team got even deeper, later that year. Were you in that team, by any chance?
In the fall of 2004, we made the depth of the cave 2080 meters. The deepest mark was reached in 2012. -2196 meters. I was the leader of these and many other expeditions. For the past two years, due to the virus, we have not been able to get to Abkhazia. We are planning to explore another cave, which may become the deepest in the world!
Before watching this, I thought that the passages were bigger. It might feel more remote. How much time does it take from the entrance to the current bottom?
I'd love to come live up at the top long enough to learn how to get down to the bottom. I have ten years of confined space work and training I'd love to help.
Kvitochka siphon has a depth of 3 meters and a length of 10 meters. A complete set of equipment is required. No diving fins were used, the siphon was fitted with a 10 mm cable.
Hmmm, where do you carry the diving bottle and other equipment? I cannot see it in the video. Also, here (ruclips.net/video/bJPAJRY-jHM/видео.html) at the very end it seems like you just passed through the short siphon with freediving.
En cas de crue éclair, ces pauvres boyaux se rempliraient en moins de trentes secondes... Chapeau les gars quand on sait ce qu'il c'est déjà passé ici...
Thank you for your comment, I will consider the application. I may have to change the music or give it up altogether ... For now, you can turn off the sound ..))

This is a nightmare for me. I admire you very much for being able to do this.

I had to stop at 3-minutes to say "Going down looks hard Enough as it is ! How Much harder is it Climbing back up !??
@@robertmetzger6467Probably much harder. I can't even imagine how much energy consuming it will be. Respect ❤
What did it sound like when you stood still? Did the earth make noise?
You betcha, I subscribed to this channel!!!!
Before watching this, I thought that the passages were bigger. It might feel more remote. How much time does it take from the entrance to the current bottom?
If you descend into the cave with all the necessary equipment, the descent can take 8-10 days. Descended from the surface without load in three days.
8-10 days?!
How long does the ascent take then?
I'd love to come live up at the top long enough to learn how to get down to the bottom.
I have ten years of confined space work and training I'd love to help.
Imagine walking up there at night and accidentally stepping in there
This makes my stomach churn. Even watching it is scary.
謝謝 非常好的影片

How many meters long are these siphones on the video? Does it require full scuba diving equipment to pass them?

Hello, I am travelling to Georgia next week and would love to get contacts of spelunking people like me! Let me know if you can, what a video!!
This is not exactly Georgia. This is Abkhazia. Legally, this is one country, but in fact, two different countries.
@@ЮрийКасьян thanks for explaining, could you help with some contacts? 🙌🙌🙌
@Duarte Antão Abkhazia occupied by Russia

I don't like the music of this video.
The noise (musik) you put on top, kind of ruin the video! Musik is differnt to most people, so your only making it worse.
Thank you for your comment, I will consider the application. I may have to change the music or give it up altogether ... For now, you can turn off the sound ..))
@@ЮрийКасьян I think it adds some serious atmosphere to what is a most insane endeavour! I like it

This is a very good video.
Great skill, great experiment.
Thank you for sharing this.
note :: the music is bad.
