When I put the gear on D or R, the engine turns off. If I put it on D and remove my leg from the brake, the car moves and does not turn off. Wa alaykum salam wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh brother thank you for keeping in touch.. The problem of your car are called engine stalling due to lock up of torque converter solenoid or the torque converter itself is worn out..
Boss, ano po kaya rason bakit may jerk po sa hyundai santa fe 2007 diesel a/t kapag mag shift from reverse to drive. May pag uga po. Bagong palit po ang transmission at engine supports. Bagong palit din po ang atf at atf filter. Bukod dun ok naman po ang takbo. Matulin namn po.

Can the torque converter solenoid be replaced or repaired without replacing the torque converter?
Yes you can try to replace 1 solenoid first if the parts is available..
Do you mean the crank sensor?(Crank position sensor)
