24:50, The amount of build up going into the presentation of this fantastical, wondrous new area, 25:43, only for Rooster to annihilate the vibe by eating the sand must be studied.
31:27, The animation that would go into bringing this scene to life would be amazing. Not even just in the sense that’s ripped straight out of Invincible, but it’s also kind of a Chainsaw Man-type moment, a moment of intense action and violence interesting what was moments ago a low-stakes comedy-drama.

You know those people who just make up a whole scene about how they'd totally say this thing to this other person, then that other person totally says this back to them, then they totally just keep owning them etc? This is basically how that scene would play out if they actually tried it.
I gotta say that this podcast has been helping me through a tough time in my life right now and I'm very grateful for it.
I love learning about the setting and seeing a desert adventure done well! The characters have a great dynamic and I like the roleplay. Thanks for doing what you are and I hope y'all keep playing.

Holy dang! So much just happened! The first half was just a relaxing train ride, but then death and destruction for no good reason!
That djin lady must be pretty young or the Genies in SANDS are a crap ton more aggressive than their literary inspiration. Djin are usually very tactful and patient, not to mention clever. But no, she just up and chooses violence! That poor old lady and the other passengers.😢

As soon as he said "double hulled canoe" it clicked for me.
Basically i imagine it to be like a train except instead rails it has two canoe hulls under it per cart. So its kind of like its ice skating on the sand.

Yeah, that one is a bit of a mess.
Felix mentions that they can see the driver throw bait down, which shouldnt be possible until there was window at the very front of the train and they were sitting right next to it.
But then when rooster climbs to the roof its mentioned that he and kore have to make their way to the front of the train implying they would be sitting near the end.
But when rooster gets grabbed by the other genie they specifically mention that the people behind him on his side get killed by getting smashed into him. Which would again imply that they would be sitting more to the front since 7 people died and the passenger cart only holds a bit over a dozen people. And since only one side got killed it means that to kill half he would have had to be sitting almost at the front.
So the best explanation I can come up with is that there is indeed a window at the front of the train pointing forwards so that they could see the driver throwing the bait down, rooster and kore changed seats multiple times during the trip, and rooster just decided to be extra by climbing out of the window instead of up the ladder at the front near the driver. Which is actually strangely in character for him.

Just a thought, but the shape water cantrip from 5e would make a TON of sense for Kor to have as it allows freezing and moving of ice and water and stuff, paired with your create water and some other thematic things its a pretty useful ability, you can even SLOWLY fly with it… very slowly…
