Amazing! Thank youuuuu Amy! I tried it once without any directions and hated it, I'm actually looking forward to doing it now! I'm Adelina and I'm Canadian from Montreal but have been living abroad in Portugal for the past 24 years. I look forward to being part of your community. Once again thank youuuuu! Hugs!
I kept a cabinet in my garage for an entire year, because I just wasn't satisfied with my original plan to refurbish it. My initial plan was to paint it silver, and I completed this rather quickly. However, I just was not happy with how it looked. The silver paint just wasn't giving me the high-end look that I desired. Nevertheless, I finally found my solution (a year later) when I decided to gild it with silver a week ago. It was my first time trying this technique, and I am so proud of my results! Don't shy away from learning how to use metal leafing on any of your projects. Amy Howard is correct. Using wax or paint will never measure up to the beautiful finish that you can obtain with metal leafing.
Watching from California! I love finding old abandoned furniture and making it lovely. This is great! I have gilded before but need to learn how to do it the right way. Just subscribed!
I love this! I'm wondering if you have workshops for the public to attend? I am looking to learn more more MORE! These tutorials are wonderful but I'm frustrated by my lack of creativity. Memphis is not all that far.....😉
Hi, just watched your video: I just acquired a very old gilt French chair , in some places you can see the Red Bole, is like to know if your products would work in covering those area of ware. The Bole us showing on hand rest. Thank you very much! Val
Great video. After I do the gold leaf, you mentioned that we need to seal it? What do we seal with? I see you have some for sale but there are different ones. How do we use the sealant?
I never have gilded but I am inspired to restore an antique brush an comb set

Gold & silver leaf glossy sealant it always has to the be the glossy one, it give the leaf it's shine and it also will not make the leaf turn colors
