The delta switch is too early, maybe a little bit longer and the motor can pick up more speed. Of course if the workload is too high, not an option. But for this big air handlers, the common time for star is around 20 seconds.
That squeal sound of it speeding up at 26 seconds makes me think of the movie unstoppable with the train. In the part of the movie when the guy speaking on the radio asks how fast 1206 was going and he said 1206 go faster!!!!!
Watch it again and look at the motor pulley just before it starts to squeal, it looks like someone throws a rock or something like that into the belts and then it starts squealing and you can see some dust kicked up. The belts are really loose also!
The sound itself is enough to understand that the motor is sick of being blamed for the noise. “MF’er adjust yo belt, or your feed speed! Work my ass off daily and you get all pissy about a belt, or belt adjustment!”
The moment before the noise, something flies in to the pulley wheel. If it's a pebble, the momentum would have thrown it in to the sheet metal housing this contraption.
You can see the camera guy got scared when the belt squeals😂

Yes 🤣🤣🤣
Nah he got scared when phase 2 kicked in
No shit

and you can clearly see the bug flies or got sucked into the spinning pulley if you slow the video down and see the white dot.
Belts and pulleys are worn out.
glad to know it wasn't just me who noticed lol
When I saw shaking belts, i knew it gonna do that xP
belts shake all the time only reason the belts slipped was the star to delta transition was too early
VTEC kicked in yo
Passione motori confirmed
Belts are loose... That's why making noise while going from star to delta... Belts slipping
Belts are not loose....did not slip. If it was going to slip it would've done it at the beginning Not after it picked up speed.

Omg those belts 😂
ikr
There's nothing like a motor starting into a high inertia load!
Reminds me of those jump scare videos
If you rearrange the phases correectly, you wont have that jump whenn switching from star to delta
you would have that jump anyway becaus in delta the motor is delivering 3 times the power

@@williammann6912 I see it that was weird.
I froze the frame at 24 sec and its not an object. Its weird.
Star to Delta transition is too early doesnt have enough time to get to speed before the higher tourqe
Edit: And the belts are loose af
Starting star to delta...no belts are ok, its normal belt tension for this Size fan
That squeak scared tf out of me lol😂

Those belts when star coupling 😂😂😂
Sounds really nice but wheres the car doing burnouts at the end?
Did some fly break the engine?
When switching from Y to ∆, expect a little hell to break loose.
Got quite the burn out kicking into high speed right there.
good work
Time for a new belt!
You need to add tension to that belt it squeal too much and maybe soft starter. You will burn windings with this amount of inrush current
Is it a synchronous motor with soft starter?
Ac motor initialization 👌
The souls of those victims by that motor screamed
For some reason i thought it was a tiny one on a desk.. 😂😂
Giant stain below the pulley, check. Belt flapping in the wind, check. This place loves to do preventative maintenance.
Somebody give that thing some grease for Pete's sake!! 😂🤣😂🤣
So satisfying

did a fly just sacrificed itself into the belt o.o?
The remaining belts are so worn out, it's no wonder one already failed.
Yeah, haven’t had to change a belt on a large air handler yet, but something about seeing a giant fan spin up in front of me gives me anxiety.
Is star mode too weak to reach rpm until delta on this config? I'd guess that's the case.
Y starts the motor on a lower voltage, so lower RPM

thats belt slip from either worn belts or loose belts
Needs either be tightened, new belts or some belt conditioner.
What the motor is supposed to run?
Omg nice alternator
Ik its not
That's one pissed off motor
Which scared the belt to make scream like a little B*itch! 😳
If you notice what I think someone threw a small white thing at the motor, which caused that noise that was emitted in the motor

Wtf was that noise.
when the motor switches from star to delta mode it gets a lot more kick witch causes the belt to slip
