- In this Physics video lecture in Hindi for class 12 we explained diffraction of light due to a single slit. In this video we discussed on fraunhofer diffraction. Definition of diffraction - The phenomenon of bending of light around sharp edges is called diffraction of light. We explained, in the video, the condition for bright and dark fringes.
Dark fringe is found at a point on the screen, if the path difference between two light waves coming form two extreme ends of the slit is multiple of the wavelength of the light used.
Bright fringe is found at a point on the screen, if the path difference between two light waves coming form two extreme ends of the slit is odd multiple of the half of the wavelength of the light used.

Thank you sir,, you are the best for me 😀
Thanks for your efforts....
Even,, when I have any doubts I always watch your video,, otherwise not....
Best way of explaining...sir im becoming your fan😃
DOUBT DOUBT DOUBT !!!!
Sir if this question finds you well then kindly answer it..
20:09 Par sir mera ek doubt ha ki 1 source sa jana wala wave 501 wale source sa jana wala wave sa hi interfe karaga iska kaya garenty ha ??
Wo kissi Dusra wave sa bhi to interfere kar sakta ha...
It can, but the overall interferance will be same. Think of it like (1+2-1-2) here, you can say 1 cancels -1 and 2 cancels -2 then overall result is 0, but you can also say 1 cancels -2 = -1 and 2 cancels -1 = 1=> 1-1 = 0 again. But its easier to say 1 cancels -1 and 2 cancels -2 since they are of same magnitude, similarly it's easier to say what sir said beacuse they are the corresponding opposite waves.
@rxeii8224 can you provide me your email ID?
I want to talk to you..
sir there is some doubt , in middle of this video you said that if path difference is equal to wavelength or duble or triple of wavelength it will be constractive interferrance and when path difference is equal half,1.5 or 2.5 of wave length it will be distractive interferrance. But, at last of the video you reverse it. Please guide me. Thanks
Sir this is also my question
Thank you Sir ❤️❤️
Best concept clarity....nice teaching thank you so much sir...long live

Diffraction samjh nhi aa rha tha thank u sir upload karne ke liye apke video samjh me ache se aate h
Very nice sir thank you very important topic plz like kro🙏🙏
The best explaination I have ever seen.Thank u so much sir
Sir what is the WIDTH(or HEIGHT) of SLIT in diffraction?
Mast explain kiye sir.hats off
Thank you sir, aise hi video dalte rahiye
Sir jordarrrrrrrrrrrrrr kya vediooooo haiiiiii samaj aaaaa gayaaaaaaaa
It was so helpful🙏Thank you
Sir polarisation and polaroids pe video create kijieana . Plzzz🙏
sir as said point no 1 will interfere with point no 501 and it will give destructive interference but point no 1 may interfere with another point to give some intensity there and in this case there will be no destructive interference
I am confused too why would 1st interference with 501 only?
Okk I got it!! If you take other points 1 or some other then angle will change and point will get changed where you are observing
finally smjh aya ache se 😀....thank you sir
All doubt clear 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤tq sir
Again very well explained Thankyou and keep making the videos
Sir aap bahut accha kam kar rhe hai. Thank you sir.🙇
I am obsessed with your videos.... Thank you sir
Thankyou so much sir🙏🙏
I am praising you without watching this bcoz i know you are outstanding
Sir ye points kya hai awr ye sirf dono slits ke bich me hii kiu hai
very nice video sir...may God bless u....stay blessed always
The way you teach is just wow!
Hello Arpita Nandi !
Your support is very encouraging.
Thank you.
If all the points on the same wavefront are in the same phase, then how did you say that the different points are in different phases at around 17:35?
Hey, I think you misunderstood the meaning of the particle being in the same phase. It means that the particles reach their maximum and minimum displacement at the same time. So, they are in the same phase. I know it’s bit late to answer that question right now. But I hope it may help others.
Sir here you use lambda as a length how we say that 1st point is posotive phase and last point is anti means in particale in half wavelenth is positive amplitude and other is negative amplitude
Awesome sir u give us very deep knowledge
Very nice explanation. My doubt is cleared. Thanks sir.
Nice video
Best to understand diffraction
This is a great way to help students.
We never bore with your video so keep this on tnq sir
Watched complete video...Thank you for explaining
simple...effective...excellent class
