  • In this Physics video lecture in Hindi for class 12 we explained diffraction of light due to a single slit. In this video we discussed on fraunhofer diffraction. Definition of diffraction - The phenomenon of bending of light around sharp edges is called diffraction of light. We explained, in the video, the condition for bright and dark fringes.
    Dark fringe is found at a point on the screen, if the path difference between two light waves coming form two extreme ends of the slit is multiple of the wavelength of the light used.
    Bright fringe is found at a point on the screen, if the path difference between two light waves coming form two extreme ends of the slit is odd multiple of the half of the wavelength of the light used.

    DOUBT DOUBT DOUBT !!!!
    Sir if this question finds you well then kindly answer it..
    20:09 Par sir mera ek doubt ha ki 1 source sa jana wala wave 501 wale source sa jana wala wave sa hi interfe karaga iska kaya garenty ha ??
    Wo kissi Dusra wave sa bhi to interfere kar sakta ha...

    • @rxeii8224
      @rxeii8224 2 месяца назад +1

      It can, but the overall interferance will be same. Think of it like (1+2-1-2) here, you can say 1 cancels -1 and 2 cancels -2 then overall result is 0, but you can also say 1 cancels -2 = -1 and 2 cancels -1 = 1=> 1-1 = 0 again. But its easier to say 1 cancels -1 and 2 cancels -2 since they are of same magnitude, similarly it's easier to say what sir said beacuse they are the corresponding opposite waves.

    sir there is some doubt , in middle of this video you said that if path difference is equal to wavelength or duble or triple of wavelength it will be constractive interferrance and when path difference is equal half,1.5 or 2.5 of wave length it will be distractive interferrance. But, at last of the video you reverse it. Please guide me. Thanks

    • @KrishivPatel-g6y
      @KrishivPatel-g6y Месяц назад +1

      Hey, I think you misunderstood the meaning of the particle being in the same phase. It means that the particles reach their maximum and minimum displacement at the same time. So, they are in the same phase. I know it’s bit late to answer that question right now. But I hope it may help others.
