I think I've read Ryland's story before, he was born deaf and not only that, he had the courage to come out as trans. I love that story.

Great kid. Great dad. Great song too. My favorite part of the video is when Jeff holds up the card that says: "Your child will shoot you in your sleep when he is older," and then Ryland quickly shook his head, as if to say, "No, I won't." That made me laugh.

Ryland, your story was such an eye-opener. I had no idea what it must be like, to be dressed up as a female and yet feel like a guy inside. That was so interesting! To think that a kid has such feelings so early on was a real revelation to me. I am glad you were so vocal! Power to you, buddy! Power to your whole family, for that matter. The next time I meet a person who scoffs at a family whose child might be transgender, I’ll send them to your videos. If I can figure out a way to fit the information into my RUclips channel, I’ll help publicize the book.

Absolutely, if he really has had no surgery or medications and is just identifying as a man that is very sensible and hard to criticize! Doing it that way, he can experience being a man but if he has a change of heart as he matures there is no problem. Nothing irreversible has been done.

God, doesn't he look just like his dad?! I don't think they should care what anyone else says, Ryland is happy, healthy and alive - that's all that matters. The suicide rate in the trans community is sky high because of lack of acceptance and it's even higher when they're not able to transition. I'm sure they'd rather have a living son than a dead daughter. I applaud their strength!

Who I Am I don't believe these parents are doing wrong, I want to make that clear. I also want to make it clear that "good parenting" isn't based on a child's happiness. Many child are unhappy when denied ice cream for dinner or to play with a loaded firearm... yet we say, good job parents! So always make sure you speak clearly on these topics. These parents aren't good because their boy is happy. They are good parents for listening, seeking help, following guidance, and so on. It's those choices which have led to happiness.

I second this O u O As a toddler, when coming back from kindergarten, I'd start screaming and throw myself on the floor and kick anyone trying to approach me. It lasted for months, until my mother stopped trying to comfort me, noting I'd then get calmer sooner. I very soon started to say repeatedly and insistingly that I was a boy, made a tantrum if I was required to wear a dress, and was overall extremely vocal about my gender. My parents let me be a tomboy, but never imagined there could be more to it. I felt so misfit, though. I was very mature for my age, but not as apt for socialization. I hoped my parents would have me tested for something, but it never happened. At seven, I wanted to be dead because I felt so incapable of ever becoming a normal person and contribute to society, but I was too afraid of pain to actually dare take my life. I was plagued with nightmares in which I'd try to explore a secret of myself that would then doom the world to destruction, but also had the most blissful dream in which my parents took me to the hospital to make me into a boy - I felt so whole and proud, only to be very sad upon waking up.
Puberty was so hard, because my body changed in way I didn't want. I tried hard to be a girl, I failed at it so hard. I was bullied a lot; middleschool was 4 years of hell and nightmares every single night. Many related to gender. I also became extremely sexist and aggressive toward boys and men. I couldn't see my favorite uncle without compulsively starting to beat him without any reason at all. I guess I wanted to destroy what I couldn't be. My father got cancer during my last year of middleschool and died the day I entered highschool (he hold on until that day, he truly cared). I forgot all I knew about Spanish and couldn't recover it so much.
At 17 I finally got information about transgender people by complete chance, talking to someone on the Internet. I instantly knew that was who I was and soon came out. My friends mostly had angry, distrustful reactions. My mother was parted between trusting me and her fear I might be doing the worst error of my life. Anyway, I pursued transition on my own at 18. It didn't go so well because I was so dysphoric I could have sold my soul, and in a way, I did. Pressured by doctors, I followed the path set for us by laws that still exist in France despite infringing human rights. Having to lie to psychiatrists who pretended to be experts but confused gender identity, sexual orientation, gender expression, gender roles, etc. Taking hormones without being told exactly what they would do. Getting top surgery and sterilized at the same time, without being told what sterilization would exactly do aside from making me incapable of ever procreating. They took that from me. I only wanted my name on my ID, I knew I'd want children, but I was in so much pain and never did a single doctor ask me if I wanted kids, or what I wanted for my body. Never.
Today I've flipped the tables and stopped testosterone to return to estrogen, so to stay androgynous, because in-between is where I feel good. I'm not a woman, I'm not a man, I don't care too much to label me either. I am myself. I feel better but I am bitter about having to take hormones my body could be produce. I finally got tested and turned out my childhood feeling of being misfit was right: I'm alexithymic (can't identify emotions acutely, even my own!), and I have heterogeneous IQ with a very high score. I'm also a Little, adult but still very childish, and there's nothing wrong about me! I'm a misfit, I'm not capable of having a normal job nor being a "normal" person, but whatever. I make comics, I make people happy, and that's my way to contribute to this world ♥

Aw, thank you so much! ♥ If you want to check them, you can read them (for free) on this nice platform:
      tapastic.com/noxfox
Singmire Haze is a story transposing problems of our world in a sci-fantasy setting, with corporate elves, a jobless engineer, a changeling who lost his ability to shift shape, and cute mushrooms. It has a society in which nobody cares what's your gender, or sexual/romantic orientation, because I wanted to show that the only thing that changes is that it only makes less struggles and happier people. It's also very cute. Readers asked me to put a warning for the cuteness overload xD
3pm in the Morning is a slice of life series --I started it with casual things to test the style and lure people, then got onto deeper topics, like gender, mourning, Littleness... so now it's a bit more awareness-rising and sometimes a bit of venting too.
Consuming Darkness is a fantasy romance involving a priest who turned blind upon receiving a dramatic vision of the future brought forth by a temple newcomer, and tries to change the course of fate by becoming the novice's mentor. It will have a bdsm twist to it, with actual bdsm --kindness, respect, safety, tenderness... My co-author and I actually documented ourselves on the topic. It's a bit sad that this series that contains healthy material and won't be glorifying abusive relationships has to bear with the prejudice going with the bdsm label, while a lot of unlabeled bad bdsm stories and unhealthy romance go rampant, but well. At least we try to be as mindful as we can, and to put on educative side-notes =)

I doubt many people criticised the family for the implants. One or two maybe. The tone is such a focus on victimhood. Like 1000s of kids they show a preference and go through phases. To let a young child make irreversible body changes is just irresponsible. They should read the statistics of kids now adults who regret a decision they made when they were 4.

I found out I fall on the lgbt+ spectrum, so I educated myself on my sexuality, the sexuality of others, and gender expression. Yet another video of someone just holding up cards.
Sorry I find these just too dull to put on my video playlists. A shame because it's a good song.

no I will simply make my usual video playlist without High Dive Heart in it, which means the various people who watch my video playlists won't get to see this song. I think they got onto one of my playlists last year but will still remain in the shadow of Oh, Honey.

I did, originally. But that was just someone else holding up cards.

And why are you called HighKickGirl2? Who is HighKickGirl1?

    • @dj_grim

I found the proper video which only came out on 18th July, before I made this comment, and 6 weeks after the song's release. And your avatar looks like Rina Takeda from the High Kick Girl movie.

shame!!! Let not America call itself a christian nation, rather a godless nation, when you turn your back on God's precepts and make it to suit a humanistic view of how man lives and thus fight against God's pronouncements and views of what is allowable or not. Shame on the parents, especially of this father who should have taught his own son what it means to be a young boy to ready in adulthood. He supports his kid not to help him live the wrong way. This type will bring curse to America.

Point that finger back at yourself. Remember, you book of fairytales teaches not to judge others unless you want to be judge with the same hate and intolerance.

clearly your lack of understanding of God's precepts make you look very ignorant.
