Sounds like a Folbot. I've owned two (one aluminum frame, the other a much older wooden frame) in the past, both have been sold. They took a while to put together and like you said, can be a little scary when you bump into things. The Oru is different though, since it's basically two layers of plastic and allows more flex to absorb bumps. It's hard to explain the sensation, but it gives me more confidence than inflatables or skin-on-frame boats.
Amazing how light and compact it is. Always a plus when you have room for a dog! Would love to see a bow fishing demo from the kayak!
I had to send it back (I was only borrowing it to play with). If i get another one I will certainly take it out for a bowfishing trip

My whistle is attached my PFD. If you get separated from your boat you still have your whistle.
I have one tethered to a clip in my PFD pocket. Probably all gross 🤢

Portable kayaks make me nervous. Went sea kayaking in one once and was constantly paranoid going over shoals.
