Enter a wannabe star who looks like a twin of Eddie Cantor (also Eddie Cantor), a band of Hollywood Indians and dozens of stars out to and entertain the GIs and fun is had by everyone, including the celebrities on stage.

What a fabulous print! Alan Hale was obviously a REAL Hoofer! Adorable...both he and Jack Carson. Oh, how I miss those days...and the wonderful performers who graced the stages (and screen) .This is a gorgeous print! THANK YOU for posting.
Fantastically-entertaining number, totally-new to me! Had no idea Carson & Hale were so skilled at this, both of them exhibiting flawless-timing & ultra-smooth movements, just wonderful!
I'm so in love with the golden age of movies. Just love love all those talented actors and actresses who graced us with their presence ❤ Long may their memory live 💕
This is terrific! Didn't know Carson and Hale could do the song ang dance thing! They were just great Wish theyhad teamed up more often! Thanks for sharing!
This is marvelous! They are hysterical! It's too bad that Jack Carson and Alan Hale weren't teamed more often. I could see Hale and Carson teamed as father and son in some of the comedies Jack Carson was in {sigh!}. At least, we have this footage of them together!
Instead Warners teamed Carson with Morgan
Love these two. Jack Carson is also a great actor. Cat on a hot tin roof, Mildred Pierce, Gentleman Jim to name a few. trivia Alan Hale played Little John 3x in movies
As a Canadian, I find the train schedule to the Canadian destinations hilarious! 😂
Scott Stephens I know right! 🤣
Somebody wanted to be a show off that’s all 😂
He also studied and sang opera - it's true.
This is just great and probably where the duo of Bugs and Daffy came from.
Not mad that this is the guy that comes up when I search my name
My favorite number in the whole movie! I like the little reprise they do in the ending medley as well: "And if you happen to be wondering still/ whatever became of vaudeville/ it's way up north!"
I just love both of these guys! Jack Carson was a vaudeville comedian and hoofer for years before becoming a film actor. I wish I could have seen him in those very early days, especially with his first vaudeville partner, Dave Willock, whom I find hilarious!
Who knew Alan Hale could dance?
This is hilarious, and very well done! Whoever came up with the lyrics, wow. Those were the days of great songwriting.
Updated: My sister and I did a re-enactment of this number:

Found out the older fellow is the father of Alan Hale Jr AKA Skipper from Gilligan’s Island 🏝 ⚓️⛴
Alan Hale Jr. Yes, his father was a very popular character actor from 1910s until his death in 1950.
@@JoeLibby I wonder if there is any evidence that Alan Hale and Jack Carson are genetically related in any awy?
You know, nobody likes to age because we think about the body, exclusively. The truth however is that the more we mature, the better we become. The truth is, this is PRIME TIME FOR YOU mister and for me as well.
Blowing you kisses.
💕
What is the string going from their hat into their pocket?? Thanks in advance.
I think it's to prevent losing the hats if the wind blows them off their heads.
@@JoeLibby Thank you! That makes sense!
