I'm in love with those Russian piping tools, they give such a pretty result ! Ann Reardon from How to cook that has a video where she tries like 25 of them and it's mesmerising to watch
Also, have you tried them recently? The common variant in grocery stores changed in the past couple decades, so the current ones are milder and tastier. But yeah also, add mushrooms, olive oil, and high heat (which sweetens all kinds of things like cabbage), and they are good.
I can't believe how good this soap looks, I really liked the low top, single tier piping. The sprouts looked great. Brussel sprouts aren't really common in my country, I've only eaten them once in a cheese fondue and they were only boiled and it had a weird smelly taste and rubbery texture, but I'm a firm believer of giving all vegetables a chance because some olive oil and chopped garlic work wonders 98% of the time

Wow I loved the Peter Rabbit story as a kid, and I forgot how gentle and delicate the illustrations are! This soap is totally reminiscent of that! thanks for bringing up a good memory :D
After getting the email this morning and seeing Brussels sprouts soap was one of the designs and I hadn't seen a video of it, I figured it was like other times you've repeated a design and just didn't make a video, so I watched the old one. Now this one did come out, two videos for me! Fun fact about Brussels sprouts, a newer varietal came out something like 15-20 years ago that was less bitter than what used to be the norm. So if you hated them when you were a kid, even aside from the potential of those original ones being made with an inferior recipe and the fact that as you grow your taste for bitter foods will increase, they really might just objectively be better! Fried in a cast iron and then baked is the way to go for Brussels sprouts, but it is pretty interesting to see all the variations on seasonings that people use. We just use olive oil and garlic, but bacon sounds amazing.
I was.... Apprehensive when "Brussel Sprouts Soap" was posted up... But Eucalyptus and cotton sounds so good. And I love the green and white colour patterning inside! That Russian tip worked so well. But I still won't eat mini cabbage stink bombs.... 🤣
Eucalyptus&Cotton is SUCH a good fragrance oil! I used it twice last year and to me it is such a fresh, clean and unisex smell, it`s amazing! And it did behave as well as it did with Katies soap here, i can highly recommend it
i always get a little sad when katie has to say a disclaimer about the green colors before they shift bc I love all shades of green so much so I think they're cute even before the color brightens up lol
I am in LOVE with this one! My family bakes brussel sprouts in the oven with pecans and yellow squash with some brown sugar!! I would love to see more floral soaps with the russian piping tips!!! Maybe an upgraded version of the soap frosting club to include them as well or an add on?
I just bought my first ever royalty soap today. I got the apple one. Her website is so neat, clean, and easy to use. Her whole buissness is so well managed and comes together nicely. I love it. I can't wait to get my soap in the mail.
I would *definitely* love more variety with piping and things like that. I tend to like having the soaps with less of the frosting as they are used up faster so I can buy more without having an overburdened supply of soap I'll never get around to using 😂 I bought my mom a bar of the Outback variety back for her birthday in November, and it's still yet to be opened.
My family makes brussel sprouts two ways. Halved/ quartered with potatoes and bacon roasted in the oven. And also in a cast iron skillet with a splash or two of balsamic vinegar.
I just ate a bag of roasted Brussels sprouts for supper last night! I love them! I use them in place of cabbage since my family won't eat either, the sprout is single user friendly. I never thought I'd ever want a brussel sprouts themed soap, but here I am.
I looked back at the thumbnail for your last Brussel sprout soap, and I think I kinda like the 3 leaf tip better than the 5. It looks more like an actual sprout that way. _But_ , this is still an _amazing_ soap, and you should be very proud of it. If you did more piping with Russian tips, I’d love to see it.
I love when Lily or your mom help you make soap, and I know you have said Shelly is camera shy, but what about your other siblings, would you (and your parents) consider you filming your other siblings helping make a loaf or two? And, Will, when he is a bit older,of course. Or, maybe a craft kit review? So fun! Thanks for all your positivity! You are so fun to watch!!
Hi Katie, I have a story like your story about being born on base. My mother was born in 1919 (I'm 61.) She was born in Canada, just over the border of New York State. Now, at this time, Canada didn't issue birth certificates, they used your baptismal certificate instead. But my mother moved to the US when an infant, before she was baptized. But in the US, a birth certificate was issued at birth, so my mother had neither. So when she applied for Social Security, the government had no record of her existence. So my parents had to jump through all kinds of hoops, getting afadavits from siblings, traveling to her town of birth for statements, etc. But in the end, they recognized her personhood! lol! Love your videos.
I am so happy this soap is back! We weren’t able to get it last time! I am ready to be on right at the drop!!! Also yes I love brussel sprouts! My favorite way is with a balsamic vinegar and honey drizzle!

When my husband and I were dating in high school, my dad made us dinner one night. My family likes all kinds of vegetables, but my husband is a picky eater. Gosh! I guess I've been lying about where I was born all my life! I was born on a base, but I've just always said the city and state where the base is when I have to provide the information. I've got my birth certificate, guess I need to go see what it says. My sister is even MORE special. She was born on a base in a US territory (Puerto Rico).
YES please Katie on the Russian Piping tips!! Also, for a few years now, I like to cut my brussels into little slivers, put them in a skillet, add in some chopped onions, and once the brussels & onions are both cooked, (The onions clear & the brussels are a light brown), I add in my 2 eggs. For a really awesome scrambled egg combo. And yes, a little bit of cheese, pepper, whatever seasoning you choose, makes it all perfect.
I LOVE Brussels sprouts!!! I steam them until they're soft and pop them in the oven with onion powder, olive oil, and butter and bake until they're caramelized. YUM!!!
Just saw the try guys collab and it was so good! Also, Katie mentioned she had sensitive skin, I also have very very sensitive skin (like miceller water burns it), I was wondering what soaps of hers (or any brands ig??) that would be good?
@Rosa Thorne I'd suggest giving any of her soaps a try. I even love her diamond soaps which are glycerin based and great for showering. Just pick up one of her cold process bars that you like the fragrance of and try it. I started trying cold process soaps last fall and wow my hands are so much better. I have super sensitive skin that rashes sort of like eczema at times or just gets super dry, red and cracked. All the extra handwashing from the pandemic was killing my hands. But I tried a bar of cold process soap someone had given me for Xmas that'd been sitting in my towel drawer making it smell nice for 2 years. And it converted me. I then tried Katie's soaps and really enjoy how my skin loves the difference. Her bars are more than just adorable soaps they're super bubbly and gentle. You can't go wrong. If you're sensitive to fragrance look for an unscented bar online. But I've found that most of the bigger soap makers like Katie use much better fragrance oils without things like phalates or other harsh things in fragrance that big brand soap companies use. So you might find like me that your skin is ok with them. Before this I was using Ivory or dove soaps cause it was the gentlest soap I thought I could find and I couldn't handle scented soaps. But I'm never going back to that waxy crap! If Katie is sold out try Missouri River Soaps (really creamy with coconut milk and cocoa butter), Snoblove (the silkest, buttery feeling bars and very pretty feminine designs), or if you're in Canada try La Fille Del Mar from Ariane or Quench made by Jerika. I've not been able to try the 2 in Canada yet but they've both had alot of happy customers and make great soaps. Sorry this is such a long response. I've kinda fallen in love with handmade soaps and wish someone had told me years ago how much misery my skin could've avoided.
@@Annie-er7ep Thank you for your amazing and thoughtful reply! I am UK based and tended to use the sensitive gel soap because I found usual bars way too drying, but recently I started getting eczema-type rashes on my hands more frequently because of the pandemic. I'm gonna try getting my hands on some cold process soap like you recommended! Hopefully one of Katies :) I'll try unscented first just to be sure, but all the soap companies you mentioned sound super lovely, so I'll look them up too!
@@rosathorne3195 you are so welcome! I hope you find some that help heal your hands! Mine before switching had these big scaly red dry patches on the tops that no amount of lotion was helping for months and after switching soaps the patches healed and were gone within 2 to 3 weeks. Now my hands rarely need any lotion (only in the coldest part of winter after being outside) and they're super soft. :) Shipping from the US to the UK might be pricy. I'd try some of the amazing soap makers in the UK first to see how your skin responds. In the UK I'd suggest I Dream in Soap made by Lisa, Eden's Secret made by Karen, or Future Primitive Soap Co made by Tiggy. I've not tried any of these soaps but they have lots of loyal customers and they also have RUclips channels if you enjoy watching the soap making. There's probably many other good options in the UK I'm just not as familiar. Let me know how you like them!
@@Annie-er7ep hi, sorry for the delay in responding, I've been trying so many different soaps, both the companies you recommended were amazing! My hands have never felt smoother since switching, I also found a local company that uses goat's milk and it makes my hands so soft! When I've had to make the brief swap to gel soaps, even sensitive ones, like at hotels, it makes my hands go back to dry, red and irritated, so I will be making this permanent change. Thank you for your help and advice! :)

*me grabbing my wallet the SECOND she says "hydrangeas"* my body is ready....
I love your “rambles” they are so cute and interesting too! You are amazing at what you do AKA making people calm, excited, happy, and all the good feelings, and making exquisite soaps.
I wonder what would happen if you combined "don't step on the momeraths" with the Russian tips?
HEY! You and I both have elbow crease moles!
All the flowers Katie!! Make them all!! A lovely flower themed collection would be amazing!!
Yes, MORE BOTANICAL SOAPS PLEASE. Sincerely, an ecology student who loves flowers
I would love to see an "artisan" style soap of this in the big slab mold, like...just a GIANT field of teeny cabbages.
Me: oh how funny, I thought it said Brussel sprout soap
Reads it again: 😳
And it’s not the first time she’s done it either lol
This channel has grown by 600K subscribers since I hopped on and wow! I'm just so proud and happy that such a person full of light is gaining popularity.
This soap is so beautiful, love!
All I want for vlogmas is that brussel sprout recipe! 💚💚
I saw the video caption and I was think why just why😂
I absolutely love your rambling! It’s the best to cozy up, watch your vids and have a nap
No views ? Omg I'm early for once 😂. Oh wait there's already 52 likes and 16 comments, ugh RUclips do better lol
I love twice baked Brussel sprouts, I think that piping tip would make a gorgeous tulip! :)
Honestly, this channel is like a ray of sunshine. I love it so much. Thank you for being you, Katie. 💕
Yes to both--fancy piping tips and fun tidbits about you and the fam (if you want to). We love anything you wanna post, just keep being you!
Love the specialty tips! I can see a whole spring garden. Daffodil, azaleas, flowering cherry, dogwoods and more! And want to echo all my hydrangea friends...you can never go wrong with the gorgeous queen of summer flowering - hydrangea!
I LOVE brussel sprouts. Even boiled. In all their forms. Delicious.
FYI: I love the rambles! You have an amazing personality.
I am so lucky to have a sister that is an absolute Brussels sprout cooking queen! And i am completly obsessed with how they look so one of my favorite things to make are little knitted sprouty friends.
I love brussel sprouts! I cut the end off, cut them in half, toss them in olive oil, salt and pepper then roast them. Crispy and diviiine
Steamed brussle sprouts with a dash of butter and absolutely devine.
Oh and I love your ramdon comments and stories.
I like those tips, it is not as high as the other soaps but still super pretty and bougie xd Also I love hearing the random weird things!
This soap is really pretty. Such great color choices What an awesome tip of the hat for St. Patrick's Day!!! I love it.
I started liking Brussels Sprouts as an adult just like you, Katie, but only roasted, and with other flavors like bacon, balsamic vinegar, or nuts. This soap is the bomb diggety! Yes to more Russian tip soaps!! A rainbow soap, with flowers!!! Mother's day bouquet soap!
OMG yes! ALLLLL of the flower types, please make a flower garden collection!!!
I like brussel sprouts, and I like it when you give us fun facts about your life.
I enjoy the variances between the open and closed. It looks natural. I enjoy the Russian piping tips but understand why they are not used all the time. Beautiful soap :)
