The wonton noodles are ok. I believe they changed something about it. When they first sold this at Costco it was really good. I recently bought it again and it’s not the same. I think it’s the noodles and the soup had more flavor back when I first had it.
YES! Same here. I used to really like this one. Now it's just bland. I don't know what changed. Probably won't buy again. BTW, I used to not like their Shoyu Chicken Ramen, and now I like it better than the shrimp.
Guys, I had this frozen noodle imported from Taiwan. It is the best I had from any frozen or instant noodle packages. I will buy again if I see it again in Costco.

Our town in western Colorado is finally getting a Costco!! We don't have a big Asian community 😔 but we have a huge community that loves and wants access to Asian food!! I pray that this store will carry all of this deliciousness!!🙏🙏
Sadly, Costco usually carries what they think local people want. They might have the shrimp one. Where I live, in NE, they lack a lot of the Asian stuff that I have seen at other Costco locations.
@@jaklg7905 The Costco in my area, N. California, regularly carries Chinese sausage and oyster sauce and other stuff from China, Taiwan, and Korea. For autumn festival, 4-5 different flavors of moon cakes, from Taiwan and Malaysia. I even got 蛋黄酥 from Costco but that's was special item, one time deal.
@@weilingaby3029 That is because there are a lot of Asians in California. Where I live, there is not a huge Asian population. Although it is growing. They do bring in a few items, but not nearly as much of a variety as other places. They try to cater to their demographic.
I have been buying the shrimp wonton ramen for years at Costco in Hononlulu. Its pretty tasty, the wontons are the bomb, but the noodles are a little lacking. But just for the wontons (it comes with 5), its worth the price. Also Costco here sells a instant Tantan mein that i have fallen in love with. It takes 4 minutes in the microwave and the noodles are chewy and elastic, the soup comes with chili oil which gives it a spicy kick. It is my new favorite instant ramen.
Same but usually I moved all the contents into a ceramic/microwave safe bowl before heating them up because it's 'healthier' that way rather than using the provided plastic bowl (even though it's thick and considered 'microwave safe'). I can eat at least 2 bowls of the shrimp wonton ramen in a sitting because the portion is not that big. It's called ramen but it's more similar to Chinese noodle soup rather than the typical Japanese ramen. Also they needed to be stored in a freezer unlike typical cup ramen.
Hmm, if they now come with 5 wontons I'll have to try them again. I got them when they first came out, and they only had 2 wontons per bowl. Basically 1 shrimp (cut in half per wonton). So I never bought them again.
The first noodles he ate I have tried. He is correct. The noodle is super chewy and very spicy. My local Costco likes to switch things up so I have only seen them once.
I have tried the wonton noodle one, and it takes up too much space in my freezer. Lol. It not amazing but not bad when you want some wonton. I haven't tried the others, but I have a lot of knife cut style noodles at home, so I'll cook thru those first. They are sooo good!
They just started offering the shrimp wonton noodle in my Costco not too long ago. Recently though they ran out and i couldn't find it. It's quite tasty.
I haven't tried the other two, but the shrimp wonton one is not it. Sure you will find flavor in the wonton, but the noodles are not it even compared to other cheaper instant noodles
Thank you Mikey Chen for doing a Costco noodle review. You make me want to explore the world and taste what you taste. But I can actually easily go taste these noodles! Thank you! Love you!❤
Love the shrimp wonton soup!! Hoping to find at least one of your noodle recommendations to try but not always the same products in Canada. 🇨🇦 I do like the teriyaki stir fry Udon noodles in the deli area of our Costco. They introduced me to the comfort of noodles 😋

I tried the shrimp wonton before and I felt extremely thirsty after that even the next day. I don't know if it's the MSG or the preservatives in the food.
I’ve tried the Costco noodle with wonton soup. I don’t like the chemical ingredients, such as Maltodextrin, Silicon Dioxide, Potassium PhosphateMonobasic, and Palm Oil in the broth , also Sodium Carbonate, Potassium Carbonate, Guar Gum, DisodiumPhosphate, Sodium Pyrophosphate, Sodium Hexametaphospate , Xanthan Gum in the noodles. The simple-ingredients wonton noodle soup that I like is The Royal Asian brand which there are only flour and egg like in the restaurant. But there was a recall because the company didn’t label on the box that the product contains egg. After that it disappeared from the markets, only shrimp wonton soup without noodles still available. Hopefully the company will bring it back.
You want to know what kind of noodles to get for taste and texture, then trust me. Listen to this man. He knows. TY M. Happy Holidays from my family to yours.
If you have nothing else to eat in the house and hungry. This is a step up from the Dollar Tree diet I put the Costco's shrimp tempura or the won tons or the dumplings in with the soup and noodles.
My experience with Costco noodles is good but not 100%. I'm actually eating the Shrimp Wonton Tom Yum soup right now as I'm typing this. It doesn't have the noodles but the broth is sweet and sour with a mild heat, one of my favorites. I also really like the Tonkastu Ramen which I zhuzh up with some sliced pork, steamed veggies and a creamy boiled egg. I'm luke warm on the Vietnamese Pho, I love pho but this instant broth tastes very artificial. I have the Meteor Noodles and Snapdragon Miso Ramen in the cupboard that I have yet to try. There are additional frozen items like the Orange Chicken, which is wonderful over rice! And there's a Korean BBQ chicken which is not as good, quite avoidable.

I like how he says at Costco these are the best noodle dishes and then goes for one he's never tried before.
Will you be watching his content if he picks the same noodle dishes every time at Costco... He has to do it at least for his content
How can they be better than restaurant ramen when every restaurant he goes to is the best ever?
So true!!!!
Thanks man! I really wasn’t sure about which ones to get so I wanted to see some reviews, you nailed it bro! Really helpful 🎉
I’m now doubting his food reviews because some of these Costco and trader Joe finds have been a miss with me.
Not everyone's taste will be the same.
I tried it, and it's just ok. Not even close to eating at an Asian restaurant.
Everyone's taste buds are different but trader Joe's is pretty good
His Uhhhhmazing food is usually average.
Everything is uhhhhhhhmaZing
The packaging of these noodles is not anywhere near as convincing as how Mike slurps the noodles. 🤣
Why did this seem like an infomercial? Nice kitchen Mike! $$$ Hope you made the big bucks recommending Costco noodles!
Mike seems to be going overboard with his reviews lately. Hurting credibility, Mike.
Word, the soup sucked
If I don't know him, I thought he's from North Korea. Every food he ever tried is out of this world.
Every noodle restaurant he has been to served the best noodles, but these processed noodles are even better 😂😂😂

I will try to buy these soon , thanks for this informative.
Mikey, I found the broth to be very bland, and the wontons are absolute mush by the time the soup is hot enough. Big disappointment 👎🏻
The wonton ramen and bok Choi is like my favorite food dude. Mush? Come on bruh
Probably because you are cooking it wrong?
Yup, extremely bland. I have a few left in my freezer, and I'm thinking of adding some Knorr to it next time.
@@hekatewhispers There is no cooking, just reheating. It’s bland, and the wontons turn to mush too easily.

Don’t. These noodles are nowhere as good as what you can get at restaurants. This is a commercial.
I don't think its a good idea to boil plastic...might as well eat the package.
They are meant to be boiled in the plastic bags they come in. Heats the noodles up so water excess does not get into them and make them gooey.
I agree. Usually I move all the contents into a ceramic bowl before heating/cooking them up.
