One of the best c64 games of all time. This, micropose soccer and emlyn Hughes soccer also, many hrs on it. Predator was pretty good also, as well as barbarian
A few minutes ago I was watching a RUclips Video that somehow triggered my memories about this gem I played at my Uncles Commodore while Family gatherings😅 I couldn't remember the name, but I found it somehow😂😂😂
One of my first and favourite games on the C64. Looking back, the gameplay is the same on every level, only the background changes yet it was so enjoyable. I played it with a joystick and I was rather good at it after a while but I soon switched to an Amiga. Too bad Ocean games were always superior on the C64… Like Navy SEALS: crapfest on Amiga, amazing on C64.
I played Operation Wolf on C64 with a light gun. edit: It was a version of the game that came with the light gun. The standard commercial release didn't support a light gun.
I can't remember mate, I just had a look on the C64 Op-T-Bolt video I recorded (uploading tomorrow) and because I didn't flick through the options I cannot be sure if that game uses Light Gun either, the certainly both have mouse options.
Correct, Op Thunderbolt was light gun compatible but this wasn't. I think the only options you had were the joystick and mouse, but I never owned the C64 mouse so I never found out if it worked or not.
Graphically the Amiga version was the closest to the arcade but still sadly just an ST port which also meant it copied the slowness of it, Thunderbolt was a vast improvement.

Used to play this in about 1990. Forgot how good the music was! Top game :)
Wow that loading music is giving me Goosebumps. game looks good as well.
Classic Ocean loader.. Loves this game. Also some other top c64 games.. Myth, Ninja Massacre, Rainbow Islands and the Last ninja series of course.
"Keep it up on your next mission".
(Loops back to the first level)
Oh yeah, another quality game ending from Ocean! 🤣🤣
Great title music, game looks pretty good as well.
I hope you enjoy my channel enough to

super classic, I love this game and the C64 version is quite fast in comparison to the later Atari ST game if I remember correctly.
The first Ego-Shooter I've ever played :)

Yeah same I ah sick mine was ranked number 1 in my file
Why wasn't this a light gun game? They should have made a conversion for it. I think operation thunderbolt was light gun compatible.

Are you sure? It wasn't the full game was it?. I had the light gun pack and it had Platoon's tunnel level, but I don't remember Operation Wolf at all.

Remember cheat codes!
I broke 3 joysticks on this game ! 😂
no injury?
I took steroids.
@@ZEUSDAZ 🤣🤣
Absolutely unplayable with a joystick
Agreed, mouse is the ideal way to go.
We have finished this shit with joystick. Before dark souls there was Operation Wolf and 80 generation!
@@damocles5047 Indeed. Played it only with The Arcade joystick by Suzo.
@@pdebie1982 i had quickshot.
@@damocles5047 ah yes! Owned that one too. Version 2 I believe. For flight "simulators" lol.
The only version I have finished (un.emulated) , This version is Gold on C64 , Amiga version is shit.
