The diamond axe does 6 attack damage, so I would recommend it over an iron sword because axes also break armor easier.

Diamond axe does the same damage as an iron sword and it lasts longer so it's actually better
but cost 3 dimands sorry if i spelt that wrong and iron is easy to find so iron sword is better

There should be a breaking table where you can take tools and armor and break them . So if you hand a Dimond ax you can break it and then you can have 3 Dimond and two sticks. I think that it is a really good idea. Well obviously.

Mrs. Divergent No it is to OP. There is a mod for this which isn't too OP, it is called the De-crafting table. Any items crafted (not found) with full durability can turn back to it's original form.
