Basically, the materials held up well. If the tent had been occupied regularly and the snow had been moved, this would have been good to go for a long time in the woods.

I think I would have been tempted to leave the tent there till spring and let the snow melt down. Quite a job digging it free. Amazing that Wolfie found his bone under al that snow! On to the next adventure!

Cannot justify paying 2k for a tent. What material would bring any tent to even 1k. Zero. This world has become how much I can charge idiots and how idiots are willing to pay. But when your making money that exceeds normal your buying things just cause you can. Doesn’t matter if it’s good or not. What goes up must come down. Remember that.

The carbon fiber pole wouldnt have cracked from weight of the snow. It wouldve cracked getting water inside near the bottom and swelling from freezing. The compressive strength of carbon fiber would never fail in that direction. but easily in the direction of freezing from inside, pushing out.

Its actually nice to see some snow because here in S,Western Ct.we haven't had even one measurable snow fall this winter yet which is very abnormal, its been very mild with lots of rain though.there's still time but I hope we get at least one good snow storm. I can't remember the last time our ponds froze up enough to skate on.when I was a kid in the late 60's through the 70's every year we were skating from December through February every year. I guess global warming is the real deal which I don't care for, I like winter, snow and ice..for at least 4 months a year.
