Did the same. I even forgot about it for a bit. Still holding well. With a 24" inner tube in a 29" tire. Had to stretch to fit. Tube is lighter aswell lol
I missed work today because I got a flat tire and not walking 2hours to work, bike shop not open till Tuesday its sunday now and got no choice but to use a 26 on a 29 wheel.
I had a flat yesterday on my 27.5 and don’t have glue at home, and I’m looking at my old 26 inch bike here thinking, those tires get REEEALLY large when they’re inflated...
@@fxxc777 26 tube goes into 27.5 almost without fight, but there is one obvious disadvantage unspoted by everyone. There is point where valve-patch is, and tube stretches from there in 2 oposite directions. It gives impresion like riding two diferent wheels changing once per every rotation. Its annoying, more than a tube with multiple patches.
@@fxxc777 Balance is worsened too, but it is more physics in it. Once I went to the bicycle shop with drawings of this & they didn't understand. Sorry but my english vocabulary isnt good enough to describe this. The best sensation gives only correct size tube used in middle range's of tyre's widety.
. I have a 28" new rim that I took the spokes and gears off a bent rim. I found the bike on the side of the trash bin. So I bought a new rim for it . But I can not find a 28 " tube here locally. All they have is 26". So now I can put in one of the 26" and see how it goes ! No one else had an answer for me. Thanks so much !
I know you commented this a while ago but did you try putting it on your 26? I’m stressing about the same thing right now since my 24 is my only inner tube without a hole😭😭
@@X.Juudah._.kOffical Yes I did and everything went ok been running it since. Its a fat tire bike and I defiantly wouldn't go as far as this crazy kid did on this video. That was either amazing or one desperate dude.
I recently did something similar to this fitting a 24" inner tube in a 29" rim and it was a tight fit, but it worked well overall
Lol i cant fit even 24 to 27.5

Smarty McSmartypants.
I needed this
you can also just put the 27 on the rim then put the tire on and as you pump up the tube fit it in to the tire

Wow, do You pinch flat easier with 26 tube? I want to try maxxis freeride 27,5 in 29" tires 😀
I think that's what happened to my 26 inch tube on 29 inch tire, pinch flat
Could you do right the opposite? Fit a 26" tube in a 24" tire if yiu are careful with the air or no?
yea but fold the tube inside itself on you tube there are probably some tutorials
Thanks!
And here I was stressed out on putting a 24" tube on a 26" wheel.
