You can do it with lengths of string and a drawing pin. You want to put the pin at the centre of your arc. The loops of string are to hold your pencil. Make a loop for the inside arc, hook it around the drawing pin and put your pencil through the loop. Maintain the tension as you draw the curve. Do the same with the big loop for the outside arc.
@@mikestanmore2614 Exactly, Sorry if I was too vague...First video ever. And yeah. I just took the width of the roads and used small clamps to add a nail and a marker to a metal ruler and made the curves that way.
As far as the straights go, I actually looked up how wide a two lane road is and divided it by 64 to get the scale. Each individual lane ended up being 2 3/4" with a 1/4" berm on the side of the road. So basically I cut the 12x12" sheets of corkboard in half then worked from there to maximize material use.
...Welcome to my Gaslands roads tutorial...Here we do things a bit differently than most people do, so instead showing you guys how I did those roads I'm gonna take my time and talk it all how I actually did it , because who needs to actually see how things are coming to life in a tutorial video right? I'm sorry if I sound bit sarcastic but I honestly don't think this is the right way of doing any tutorial videos, unless of course this isn't a tutorial video but a simple show of, in with case...nice roads
Thank you for this video... Gonna use a roll of cork I have to make some roads for acid rain
Uhmmm,...How wide did you make the straights? And Also! I'm an Idiot with no access to a compass but how did you do the Curves?

How about you put something up yourself rather than actually bitching about other peoples videos?
