Watching the intro to Bowser Jr.'s Journey actually irritated me, since Bowser Jr. was the bratty protagonist none of the others liked or respected. I expected him to stay that way throughout. But now I get it, why they had that in. It all makes sense. This really defied my expectations and I love it.
But E.Gadd, Fawful, the villains of Super Paper Mario, Kamek, the Koopalings... They've all got more characterization nowadays with established personalities. Peach has her moments toi
Wow, I actually never really liked bowser junior much, though he was just another unoriginal smaller antagonist. But this game really fleshes out his character a lot. I kinda like him now lol.

See this is why I love some of the Mario RPGs. Just look at how Nintendo has more opportunity fleshing out the characters and their interactions. I hope we have more of these moments in future games.

@@brolytriplethreat Adult Bowser would actually be better. Baby Bowser was fairly present over the course of the game. Bowser only appeared once in the middle and was gone until the post-game. They could have Bowser travel around future versions of the game's areas for something. Perfect opportunity to show those off.
I love this game. And now that it has the Bowser Jr story it's even better. Only thing I wish is that the koopalings were actually Bowser's children. At least adopted or something. But yeah, this character development is really good.
Damn, this is the most emotional the series has ever been. I loved the character development here, but AlphaDream really stomped on my heart with this one. This cutscene alone proves everyone who says Mario and Luigi can’t be serious wrong. I hope the next game takes this direction.
These sub-modes are obviously them testing the waters, and given the feedback is generally that the stories have been good, I'd like to believe they'll make a pretty good game for the next installment. But, I could be wrong.
The whole "Mario and Luigi can't be serious" thing is and always has been wrong and it's Arlo's fault that whole thing happened, for instance, not only this (which came after Arlo spread that dumb message) but Partners in Time (which came before Arlo spread that message) and to think Arlo only trashed this wonderful RPG series because Paper Mario is no longer Paper Mario and Risa Tabata accidentally spread false information on that topic.
Bowser Jr............ thanks to Morton Jr. Koopa he learned a valuable lesson i really like that this is why i love Bowser and his underlings they really are a piece of work
This is especially fantastic because its also Jr learning what it means to be a king so he can one day take his dads place. Good stuff man. Need more of this kinda stuff

Morton was already my favorite of the Koopalings, thanks to Color Splash and Paper Jam, but this made me love him even more. The guy legitimately cared about Junior even when the other Koopalings verbally flipped him off and left.
Wait... This isn't right... Character dev... In a Mario RPG? The last game I remember doing this was Dream Team with Luigi. FYI I do know that most Mario RPGs have great character dev. But ever since the Sticker Star ordeal... Character dev is simply a no-no by the big man Miyamoto.

I don't play a lot of Mario games to know if this has happened or not, but I'd like to see them take the lessons Bowser Jr. learned throughout this and really show us how it all affected him on his road to becoming a king like his dad. Honestly, I'd really just like to see what kind of king he would be and how he deals with the koopalings and such when he's older.
Not only that, but Junior didn’t even notice that the minions and the Koopalings were his friends until now. They respected him, but he didn’t respect them back. And now, looking at the drumstick Morton gave him. He regrets his mean actions towards who he now considers friends and starts to cry.
This surreal for me. I've called the Koopalings Bowser's children for years. Then outta nowhere Shigeru says only Jr. Is his kid. Imagine how much more poignant this whole thing would be if he was out saving his siblings.
In this game bowser jr was nothing more then a bratty kid who has no respect for his minions or his siblings at first but after experience one of fawfuls underlings hurting his siblings and kamek letting jr know why his father became strong that’s when bowser jr completely realized that he and his siblings haft to back each other up to face the impossible

Insert: "IKR?! Stinker Star is an abomination" and "Color Trash is NOT canon" or "Just play it, you will love it" and "Sticker Star is a good game, just not a good Paper Mario game" comments. But seriously, the Paper Mario fanbase is complete and utter trash. Color Splash tore it apart. Though, I do want a game like the first two, I am most certainly never joining that fanbase to get it.
They just need to bring back THE REAL Super Mario RPG game, the one in the Super Nintendo, yeah, if you don't know it, is the Geno's one. THAT'S a good RPG Mario game, at least that time, I will love a remake or even better, a brand new game.

This remake make me like this game even more. We really don't see any little character development in Mario games often. But game takes the Cake for sure.
I wanna play a mario game, except we can play as enemies and other characters. I wanna play as a toad and do things in toad town, I wanna be a koopa and explore stuff, I wanna fight mario as bowser and the other enemies.
I love this mode, yes, even the gameplay is alright. It’s a shame that not many people will experience this mode and get familiar with the story and new characters.

Its surprisingly touching. Especially for someone like Boswer jr to feel regret for not treating his minions and friends like family. I think its the first time we have ever seen this side to him.
I wish they made it so Bowser is the uncle to the Koopalings it would just make everything better because them calling him Lord Bowser same with Bowser jr is just very off when they were originally his kids making them still part of the family would create a better bond between them all
To be honest morton is nice, ( in one way to put it ). I like how they made him talk like some people in shows and games, and he is in my opinion my 3rd favorite koopaling.

Its surprisingly touching. Especially for someone like Boswer jr to feel regret for not treating his minions and friends like family. I think its the first time we have ever seen this side to him.

I wish they made it so Bowser is the uncle to the Koopalings it would just make everything better because them calling him Lord Bowser same with Bowser jr is just very off when they were originally his kids making them still part of the family would create a better bond between them all

Bowser is always the bad, rude guy
But Kamek said he is nice to his minions and they adore him
I would really like to see something like that
This game is a step into the direction
Even if Bowser doesn't know he's working together with Mario & Luigi
He still fight's for the good with them against Fawful, Midbus and the Dark Star
And I really think without Bowser Mario & Luigi would have some problems saving the world this time
