Awesomene Amenaties loved the roof top pool 🎉 I stayed there in 2018 loved it .Iwas in building B on the south west side . Awesomene location. Very convenient 👌cheers .lovely couple I will subscribe
Fabulous life experience and lifestyle for you both in Pattaya. Have a green chicken curry for me. Next Monday I fly to Bali. I thank you both for your valuable tips which I have enjoyed your Bali videos. Take care Al and Deb
Wonderful! I hope you love Bali as much as we do. Green Curry is Al's favourite - can't count how many times he has had it already...lol. I'm more of a Massaman Curry girl! :D
Fantastic 😊 my fathers apartment was like that in Southport before the Olympics for $350 a week subsidised for the pensioners, then the government sold it privately for students. Pretty similar
Someone else made this comment also, but do yourself a favour and go buy yourself a mattress topper, it’s worth it and will make the bed 100% more comfortable for the amount of time you are there. I have one on my bed, they make such a difference. Love the apartment ❤
many westerners in se-asia discover that sleeping on Hard beds actually fixes their backs..it do take some time to get used to but after a while will many with back problem's feel better.
Oh cool! Looks very cosy. I guess you could buy a topper for the mattress. Pretty good to have all those facilities. I wondered about Pattaya because I don't like the seedy side of Thailand. It would be great to have your opinion on Pattaya rather than the dark side we usually hear about. I'm already looking at Airbnb now to book a month as part of my get fit plan and make use of the gym and pool! Haha 😅. Can't wait for your next video!
Pattaya is the seedy side of Thailand but in saying that there is so much to do in such a small area. Eg: Go to the islands, big shopping centres, lots of cultural attractions. It suits us because we are mainly working on courses and blogging each day while it is hot, then we go out at night. If you want seedy you can definitely find it...lol.
@@alandeb I don't want seedy but I do want cheap. I guess those things go together. I'm in! I work online and my partner plays golf. We just saw that there's 20 golf courses in Pattaya! Unreal!
Hey guys ~ enjoying your videos ~ I may off missed it but what is the condo called & how did you book, thinking of doing something like this next year, thank you ?
Hey! The condo was called The Base. The location was excellent. The condo itself was very small (approx 30sq at a guess) but it was very affordable. I found it on Airbnb. :)
I look forward to seeing you each Sunday. Deb, I hope you are ok after your fall. You poor thing! I feel sorry for you both with the "extra firm" mattress and hope you come up with a comfortable solution, even though Al's "shagger's back" comment did make me laugh.
Thanks so much, I'm totally fine. More embarrassed than anything. I think we are starting to get used to the extra firm bed... maybe... it hasn't stopped us from sleeping in.... lol
I was there in Pattaya for 6 weeks in April/May it was tooooo long😮 I got bored,i should of split between Bangkok and Pattaya I will never stay in one place fir 6 weeks anymore ,Did I miss you two? When was you there ?😅
We're in Pattaya now. We are used to staying in places for longer periods of time and now prefer to do it this way. When we were younger we enjoyed jumping from one area to another and doing quick stints or a few days here and a few days there, but not anymore. Now, we find a base and will do day or weekend trips with a backpack. :)
Nothing rude about your question. Yes, we always fly economy without any problem. We've never purchased two seats but like anyone we're stoked if we get vacant seat next to us on a flight. :) We haven't flown Qantas for ages because Al said they mistreated their staff by sacking thousands and then outsourced to foreign companies and in return raised their prices. They're not the Australian airline that Al wants to be associated with.
I’m also plus size & fly economy without issue. I live when my boss springs for business class, but economy has never been an issue. I think I’m possibly around Deb’s weight but taller so I get the double whammy but still manage with a single seat. I do pay extra for an exit row where available for the additional leg room.
Yes, we're back in Pattaya. Yes, there is a lot more single men in Pattaya than any other destination that we have ever travelled but we do things during the day and are usually home before the crazy hours these days so we don't really notice a lot of the seedier side of Pattaya. Pattaya is great for couples to travel to the islands, shopping and for seeing the cultural places. It also works out great for us because it has everything we need in a smallish area and local transportation is so easy to use.
condos are small in se-asia because its mainly only place u sleep shower and store ur clothes and possessions. Even some cityhouses are pretty small inside with only 2-3 rooms on 2 floors because they cook and living outside most of the time.. In pattaya specific its actually easier to go there book a cheap hotelroom 2-3 days with agoda and WALK around and look at houses with "for rent" signs outside..they are virtually everyware. u get to know the city and different areas at the same time. Normal rent contracts can be all from 1 month to 2 years and are very cheap and most are using the thai government regulated electric and water prices
@@alandeb because of the renting market in thailand I am often surprised when expats decide to buy a condo or a house. its a big risk to buy one, in worst case is unsellable and u force to rent it out or even abandon it..and you stuck in that condo and area. Renting and buying is very different in se-asia against the western world..in pattaya u can get a rent contract in 5 minutes in ur hand..

It's very dangerous to be advertising property as a foreigner without a business licence or a property business license and permit, be careful guys, this video and your identities will be investaged with the stringent Thai laws that target illegal behaviour by foreigners at the moment. I would advise to create different content if you don't want to deal with legal consequences from the Thai law.
@@sebbster8703 Thanks Sebastian. We usually show where we are staying and didn’t realise it would come across as advertising a property. We are just showing viewers an example of what is available in Thailand compared to Australia and comparing the price you pay for rent in both countries. Thanks for advising us that it isn’t looked upon favourably in Thailand. Now that we know, we will not post anymore videos about holiday accommodation here. Thanks again for making us aware. ☺️

So close to everything. We're really happy here.

Have you guys looked at Da Nang in Vietnam, very cheap rentals and lovely apartments!
We have visited DaNang but have never looked at staying long term. I have heard it is very cheap to live in Vietnam and Cambodia.
Is this building called "the edge"?
No, but the Edge next door I believe.
And go to the triangle Bar for some good live music, not far from where you’re staying and it’s a good crowd there 😊
Will check it out! Thanks for the suggestion. :)
