    Wow, the garage start to look like a small museum. Well done.
    I'm again amazed by Steve's works, it's incredible. I'm since long in favor of the "flat" water (no resin), but this one has more depth than the best resin water I have seen.

    Though of a couple things watching:
    You guys are Pile-its😄
    The game room seems like the beginning of a great bar and/or pizza shop.
    It's pronounced "Yagas Creek". Original location of the company and the creek it was named for are in Morgan Hill, CA very near where I live.
    Great show guys. Love the garage, should be open to the public one day.

  • @michaeldiehl5690
    @michaeldiehl5690 5 лет назад

    Hi Dale and Karen!
    I remember you had briefly shown us all this led lighting technique once before, and I thought of something I'd forgotten until now.
    Would it work to add fog? Probably very tiny tubing with tiny pinholes punched into the tube? Could they be slightly beneath loose ground cover to hide them? The source of smoke could literally be a fog machine constantly feeding the tubes and it could roll up slowly and fill the scenery. 😀

    • @ToyManTelevision
      @ToyManTelevision  5 лет назад +1

      I have use it for photos. But it leaves oily film over time. Or a dust like coating with some systems. Anyway if you used it a lot it could be messy. Have you seen my show on adding snow in photoshop? That’s how I do it now. But this could work for open houses and stuff. Mess with it and see how it works

    • @michaeldiehl5690
      @michaeldiehl5690 5 лет назад +1

      Hey Dale! Thanks for letting me know about the fog machines building up oily residue. I'm not familiar at all. Seemed like a good idea, but, no. Lol! I hadn't watched that other video until now. It gave me fresh ideas! You saved me from making a mess of my beautiful model scenery!😜
      I'll keep screwing around, same as you! Have a great day!

    It would be cool for Steve to add mini plaques to each structure commemorating his railroad and possible year of build. Similar to historic home plaques. Would be cool to own one with a plaque of authenticity.

Get it together (you could call it 'profitable' screwing around, and I will be the first to buy. You folks are artisans and artists and your creations should be put out where the rest of us can marvel. Be sure to include a lot of night pictures. Great video...as always

    The problem with being retired is that the period when you can work on things is too brief. My hands are now too shaky to do a lot of what I want to do. At least I can go to RUclips and watch those of you that still can do the intricate things I can no longer do and appreciate your videos. Thank you for putting them out there for us/me!!

    • @ToyManTelevision
      @ToyManTelevision  6 лет назад +1

      YES! Steve is doing his best work ever. BUT he can't go up and down ladders, crawl under the benchwork or even spend the day on his feet. He works at the bench. So he wants a single level layout, not more than 2 feet wide in any place. Simple and easy.

    My, my...... Haven't you guys been busy? Again, Dale and Karyn, you've out done yourselves! This video was truly amazing! I enjoyed watching you guys go about cutting your work out, and then sharing responsibilities to have things cleaned and restored.(My kind of work and pet peeves exactly!) I enjoyed the Pun on 'Piles!'😁. It was a brilliant idea to use the foam from Home Depot, Heavy lifting as you get older is not something one would enjoy. I loved the care and patience you put in, in restoring the Juke Boxes and Pin Ball machine. The idea of the changing sunsets, that's a first! (And simply amazing on what lighting can do for your mood.) And hasn't Steve been busy too! That painting of water is really something I must learn. Youngsters must take lessons on life from the two of you! (Exactly how to stay happy, as you grow older!) Speaking of which, any excuse to get into a Mustang would take years off your life instantly!) Dale, you sure are my kind of guy! Haven't had a chance to watch the Big Boy video yet. (I'll be sure and do that this evening.) So for now, and until then, keep doing what you love, Stay young, Stay hungry! God Bless!

    I love modeling, but I fear my eyes are unable to see the fine detail anymore. I have many 1:25 trucks. I always wanted a train scale to match my trucks. I figured out it was one of the garden scales and the cost was prohibitive. Still think about it though. Always wanted to incorporate my half scale model house I built in High school too, but it's falling apart now.

    • @ToyManTelevision
      @ToyManTelevision  4 года назад +1

      Yep and upcoming shows we are revisiting some of my old HO models. I had to rebuild one was broken another win still needs work. But where we used to be so easy now I can hardly do it. One of the reasons why I’ve switched over to the large scale‘s. There are still some 1/2 inch models on the market and in fact that is Tuesday’s show!

      It had white Craiger mags when it was raced. Looked great but the tires would hit the fenders. These have a shallow offset. So you can run wider tires. With the "proper" wheels you cant run anything bigger than an F7014. Anyway, I loved the look of the racing wheels. Shelby would be correct, but I love the white

    Dale,
    Is the layout a point to point layout or will it loop the whole room.

    • @ToyManTelevision
      @ToyManTelevision  6 лет назад

      point to point. May be a loop in the yard. Thats the plan. but the logging line is single track. One switch. About 50 feet of track. AND the lower level is mostly a 3 track yard and a roundhouse. Someday I want it to go outside but for now, I just want a yard and shops. In 1:20.3 thats huge!

    I've never met Steve, most likely never will, but you say that he is going to have a simple layout and I'm think that "simple" is a rather relative term. Knowing what little I know about Steve, his new railroad could still be relatively complex. Hey, have a great day and I'm going to go out and screw around with my sawmill.

    • @ToyManTelevision
      @ToyManTelevision  6 лет назад +1

      My dream was always the 2000 square foot layout with a mile of track. AND we have seen those layouts. But the best ones are often the shelf 24 inches wide and 30 feet long with great lighting and super detail. Run perfectly. Look amazing. We were on a live steam railroad a few years ago that had like 30 miles of track. It was a full time job for 12 members to try to keep that running. They had a 10 mile loop that hadent run in years. May never run again. But years and tens of thousands went into building it. And now it's a monkey on their back. When the layout starts owning you its not fun anymore.
