The Qualcomm vs Arm situation is going to be interesting. Like you said, Qualcomm is probably going to settle as they cannot afford to cancel the Snapdragon 8 Elite. This outcome seems more likely. Worst case scenario, if Qualcomm and Arm do not reach an agreement, this would be detremental as phone manufacturers will be angry at Qualcomm and many of the new flagships would have to be delayed in order to switch to MediaTek. The chance of this happening is low.
But still ARM won't worry, because those phones will be manufactured, and for ARM who cares if Qualcomm or Mediatek pay the license fee..? Mediatek already overtaked Qualcomm in market share (Mediatek raised 7% and Qualcomm lost 5% in the past 1 year..), so they don't even need to double their current output to secure are chip what phone manufacturers want, as they are the closest Android competitors in performance (Dimensity 9400 is also very comprtitive against Snapdragon 8 Elite.. Geekerwan already tested both chips..)
t@TamasKiss-yk4st That's the point. Arm will be fine either way since their architecture is used by Mediatek and Apple. As for the Dimensity 9400, I have been impressed from what I have seen so far. I just hope they start optimizing for these chipsets and not just Qualcomm.
Lol.. nope, the ARM want more money, because Qualcomm only had a cheaper license.. they never ever designed their own core, just used the manufactured cores from ARM to design their chip.. now they are not using ARM designed cores, so they need to pay the higher price for that.. do you think the Cortex-A77 in Snapdragon 865 was designed by Qualcomm when even the Exynos 980 and Dimensity 1000 also used those cores..? 😂

Man, i hope most people don't buy this new phone. 😂 Every year I am hopping there's an end to this madness of a new phone model every year. Buy a (slightly) used S24 Ultra on one of your local or international resale platforms or something. *It's unhealthy and it would be way better to pressure Samsung into offering longer warranties for the devices included with the price, no Samsung Care subscription needed*
The new model every year is not for the people who bought the model the previous year. It's for people with older phones. For example, I have the S22 ultra Exynos and I didn't want to upgrade to the S24 Ultra but now I'm ready to upgrade to the S25 Ultra. There are other people with older phones who also want to upgrade. Anyone with an S24 Ultra who wants to upgrade to the S25 Ultra is just silly because they won't notice a big difference but if your phone is 3 or 4 years old, you'll notice a much bigger difference which will make the upgrade much more worthwhile.

I miss the 10x optical zoom. S24 ultra was a step back for me. Probably will switch back to S23 ultra with10x optical. Skip S25. 😂
10 years update milna chahiye
Watching on s23 ultra
Honestly if they swapped to a mediatek 9400+ chip I wouldn’t have a problem, call there bluff samsung and get nvidia or your own foundry yo make the Nuva chips I’m sick of arms saber rattling antics
Man, i hope most people don't buy this new phone. 😂
Every year I am hopping there's an end to this madness of a new phone model every year.
Anyone with an S24 Ultra who wants to upgrade to the S25 Ultra is just silly because they won't notice a big difference but if your phone is 3 or 4 years old, you'll notice a much bigger difference which will make the upgrade much more worthwhile.
there is no reason to upgrade i have 5 yrs in a row but not this year
Samsung's biggest mistake was they made the S23 Ultra almost perfect, so consumers expect an improvement.😂
