I am sorry for the pixelated bits in the video! I got a new graphics card and didn't realize that my settings aren't correct anymore, but I was already to deep in the progress of making the video to scrap everything. Thanks for understanding ♥
Please note, if you are unable to click on "Append", make sure you're in Object Mode and not Edit Mode. Haha, just had this issue. Thanks for this lovely tutorial powluna
For a long time I have been watching videos on how to make cc, but until now I have never found a video that I could understand from minute one, you make things look so easy that it encourages me to try it, could you make a detailed tutorial on how to make shoes and socks? Thank you so much ❤
Thank you for the feedback 🩷 What exactly would you expect from a shoes/socks tutorial? I don't make things from scratch usually, only conversions and edits 😅
i hate giving my sims different hairs in different categories that don't match up in length, cut etc so this will be a perfect place to start, thank you so much for this tutorial I just watched your latest one and THIS is really what i needed yeeeyy
Tysm for making these videos! Can you make a video on how to make horse tack? Like a saddle pad maybe. I can only find videos on how to make cc for characters. :)
hello! right click the blender application on your desktop copy the location of the file pop the address into the “blender address” spot i hope that made sense..
it looks like when you click on a certain section of the uv ,ap where the texture is you are able to zoom into that place. but mine only zooms into the middle so when i zoom in too far i can no longer see my texture. are you just clicking and dragging and zooming in?
I'm having an issue getting the mesh to fully import onto the template hair like you did at 14:17, it just overlays it and doesn't show up at all in-game. i'm sure i'm missing something simple but i don't know what it is
Unfortunately I am not familiar with alpha hair, but from what I can imagine is that it should work the same way. The difference of mm and Alpha hair is the texture. The mesh is the same, so you probably just have to check if my way of adjusting the texture works for your case!
i haven't tried doing this or really anything much 3d, so might be a silly question. would it be possible and maybe easier for a hair like this to copy the hat chops from the original back hair that was used and keep them, delete the bangs and then copy paste and adjust the bangs from the new one you're making?
It definitely would be possible I guess, but once you figured out how to make hat chops, you are really fast and flexible to make hat chops for every hairstyle no matter how many edits you made to it!
Thanks a lot for the tutorial! Why use this version of blender? where i can download it? Im doing the tutorial with the las version of blender and there are things that i cant find :(
It's Blender version 3.6.1, because at the time of filming the video this was the latest version for cc makers. I made a mistake in the description but fixed it now! There is also a link to all the tools, Blender too. 🙌🏻
Is it possible to combine different hair textures, or use several? (Sorry, I use a translator) In Blender I used different parts from different hairstyles and, accordingly, different textures, not just one. Is it possible to combine them, or use several? I tried to import some textures into Sims Studio but it didn't work :(
Yeah you can combine different textures, but you have to do it in a photo editing software where you put the parts of texture 1 and texture 2 you like together. And in Blender you then have to adjust the uv map to your selfmade texture. This is tricky and I wouldn't recommend it to beginners though!
Did they disabled cheats or something? I've been pressing ctrl+shift+c and it doesn't work but it works perfectly fine in the game. Did they made a change since you uploaded a tutorial? I found some others tutorials but they are way too complicated cuz I need to use photo editor 😢
Yes, there was an update, but I didn't know that they disabled cheats. A new way to go to the catalogue is at the top under 'Tools' and then 'Browse Game Content' -> 'CAS' Hope this helps!
When I import the mesh into Sims4Studio it works fine, but when I use the hair in-game it still uses the mesh from the unedited hair, but when I select a hat it looks fine, what do I do?
btw what if i want to just adjust the lenght of my mesh hair...do i have to delet the part that i want to modify too or i can just use the original mesh from game?
hi!! tysm for the informative tutorial, im currently attempting to make a hair mesh and for some reason it glitches when the sim moves her head, is there any way i can fix it or is it a lost cause
Hey I changed the hair line in blender which doesn’t match the original diffuse map. So the changes to the hairline are showing up in sims 4 studio but also the original hairline at the same time. How do I make a new diffuse map that’s accurate to the structural changes made in blender. So when I import it to Sims 4 Studio It’s the same?
Hiyo, I'm having a bit of a struggle with the importing. I'm setting the cuts to 0000, 0001, and 0002 but when I import them it says that I need to adjust the cuts im not sure what I'm doing wrong?
hi! I'm having trouble with blender. I exported the mesh exactly like you but when i open in blender i have ✨nothing✨. The meshes are not showing on the scene or in the scene details panel... Please help me
This happens mostly when your Sims 4 Studio and Blender don't match. Make sure to update your S4S to the newest version and then check the Blender path in the S4S settings!
I always opt for a self-assembled PC so that I can decide which individual parts to install. I currently have an AMD Ryzen 7 processor, an RTX 4070 graphics card and 32 GB of RAM. Not sure if you can do anything with that :D However, these are the parts that need to be good to have a great Sims and Blender experience if you're looking for a device for yourself.
i am trying to make the shadows, but when i open the rig and check selectable for the head, i can’t move it still? it just selects the mouth, i noticed that when i click on head_2 it selects the whole head, if i chose head_2 over the first head option would baking still work?
@@powlunaokay one more question (maybe lol) when i make the LODs, i don’t have that little circle shaped thing in my uv map. i did use a cc hair instead of an ea hair as my base mesh so maybe that’s why, is skipping that step of deselecting it going to mess up my lods?
Thats okay! LODs dont have to be perfect, they are just for the case when you're far away from your Sim in Game you still see the shape of the hair you made and not something completely different. So its just to keep the game performance balanced!
hi good night how are you? I'm trying to do this more every time I try to return the mesh from blender to the sims 4 studio nothing happened (apparently the mesh won't) if you can help me thank you
You have to put a copy of the .package file of the cc in the Sims 4 Studio mods folder. The path is usually: C:\Users\YOURNAME\Documents\Sims 4 Studio\Mods . For a visual explanation you can take a look at one of my other videos, here is a link with timestamp :) ruclips.net/video/f9eCa5BLbSA/видео.htmlsi=aySbOp-ikQMrO5Zd&t=468
That's a good question. Maybe you're Blender isn't installed properly or has some kind of conflict with something. I would try to reinstall everything!
Is it possible that you're working on a Mac? Then Create CAS Standalone will do the same thing. Otherwise check your Blender and Sims 4 path in the S4S settings!
I wish you would make things for adults, because it's much easier to learn then then convert to children. why are you trying to teach us hard things, as opposed to easier things first?
I am a content creator for kids stuff, so that's why I usually feature those content in my videos. There is no difference when it comes to creating hairstyles and you can easily follow the tutorial and still create something for adults 😄
@@powluna Hi there I just found your video for making hairs for Sims 4 and I have a question is the way you make regular hair in Sims 4 the same as if you were to add highlights into the hair? Nothing under sims is loadable
