  • Russia Sends More Troops After Another Failed Assassination Attempt On Traore
Recent developments in West Africa have significantly altered the geopolitical dynamics, particularly in Burkina Faso. Russia has taken a decisive stance by deploying a substantial number of troops to Burkina Faso following a thwarted assassination plot against President Ibrahim Traore.
The unwavering support of Russia towards Burkina Faso, irrespective of the circumstances, is evident. The recurrence of such assassination attempts raises questions about the underlying motives and why Russia is willing to provide protection. It is widely acknowledged, not only by us but by many, that external influences are at play.
The Western powers, or their affiliates, had compelling reasons to orchestrate the assassination of Ibrahim Traore, and their motivations are not shrouded in secrecy. Since rising to power in 2022 amid a popular uprising, Traore has emerged as a symbol of resistance, posing a significant challenge to Western nations accustomed to exploiting Africa as a source of resources and a strategic playing field.
This situation transcends the individual leader at its center. It signifies the West's desperate struggle to maintain control over a region that is unequivocally rejecting its influence. When Traore emerged as the emblem of Burkina Faso's new leadership, it marked more than a mere shift in governance.
For the Western powers, it signaled the onset of a nightmare. Here was a young, vibrant African leader who openly opposed Western ideologies, swiftly expelling French troops, dismantling Western hegemony, and severing ties with France, Burkina Faso's former colonial master.
This bold move alone triggered alarm bells in Paris, Washington, and London. The French, once secure in their neo-colonial dominion, witnessed their sway over West Africa disintegrating. Privy to closed-door discussions, it's evident that the focus was not on diplomatic resolutions but on permanently eliminating this perceived threat.
These deliberations were not mere rhetoric. Traore took decisive actions, actively dismantling the economic frameworks through which the West controlled Africa.
The West has spent decades entrenching itself in Africa through financial institutions, military bases, and so-called aid, all designed to maintain a quiet but firm control over the continent. Traore saw right through this facade, and made it clear that Burkina Faso would not be a pawn in this game anymore.
His rhetoric wasn't just words. It was followed by real action, partnering with Russia, negotiating military deals, and forming economic alliances that directly undermined the West's monopoly in the region.
This is where the West's panic button got pressed. Here's the critical piece that should make everyone sit up and take notice. Traore's growing alignment with Russia. If the West feared anything more than an African leader rejecting their influence, it was an African leader turning to Russia for support.
Why? Because Russia represents a strategic counterweight to western dominance. And an alliance between Burkina Faso and Moscow threatens to unravel the West's long-standing control over not just Burkina Faso, but potentially the entire region.

I am grateful for Russian's support of President Traore. Everything must be done to protect President Traore. However, I would rather see this support coming from other African nations. Several African nations have strong militaries. Why are they not offering their help to Burkina Faso. I am afraid that Russia is preparing for an extended stay in Burkina Faso.
