Yes, but it's still limited to some extent. I don't know exactly what triggers it, but trying to save in initial areas after progressing further into the game will cause the coin flip to always fail (I tested this to exhaustion). Since no enemies are there, you won't get ambushed but you will wake up with an adrenaline rush that will prevent you from trying to save again. I have nothing other than anedoctal evidence, but I'm convinced that both the beds in the crow room and near Tortur's room are rigged in certain ways, both to benefit you and force you to move forward.
@@CidGuerreiro1234 no, you can actully save as much you want, I had killed all new gods and was still able to save in the first floor of the dungeon just fine
The problem with Fear & Hunger 1’s saving can actually be solved by killing all of the enemies in the area you’re trying to save in. The prisons are the best place to do this since it only has cave gnomes and guards, which aren’t very difficult.
Yea, I should've brought that up. But then it runs into the problem of being abusable and easily save scumible. This is luckily reduced by the time limit with Le'garde, but that's not the best system either. All in all, Termina save system developed on it perfectly
Even then sometimes you might be forced to annoyingly leave the area and come back just for another attempt at saving. Doesn't help there are literal secret areas designed for being a savescum spot

I'm liking this video to help add a 1k milestone and also because I lost all my limbs but one arm fighting the final boss. 10/10 game that embodies how it probably felt trying to survive in medieval Europe
My first playthrough I had no idea that sleeping went to afternoon then night of the day instead of skipping the whole day, so I slept once then beat the entire game off that one save...
Absolutely crazy that I saw THE Rad Chad the mad lad and possibly my dad (the DNA test hasn't come through yet) in the Funger discord, spoke to him about the video he was making and just assumed that it was some random guy who just had the Rad Chad name on discord and also hapened to make youtube videos.
There is a thing about saving in Fear and Hunger 1, you don't have to do the coin flip, if there is no enemies Actully yes you do need but it will not spawn a enemy, so you can try as much you want to save the game without any danger, as long you are able to clean the floor of course There is also 2 beds you can always save, one in the start of the game where you need to kill the Mister X version of this game, and the other in the end where you need to kill a boss So with Knowledge you can actully save as much as you want, and I guess this just make this saving system bad again cause you can abuse it? I mean you have to earn it so in a sense is like a reward, you managed to kill all enemies in this room, so you can save as much you want now
I feel like at that point of the game, when you are good enough to clear the floor and find out those kinds of mechanics, the game in general is not as unfair/ cruel since you pretty much have solved all the puzzles, unless you read wiki/guides before playing the game. But for a beginner or just casual players it's very frustrating (and scary) to have all your progress bet on a coin flip, though I agree it's not a great system because a lot of people can't just sit down 4hrs straight to play games.
@@shao-ningwu9209 fair point, but I would also like to add that the early floors, and the one I would say the safest to just clean it, only has Guards and Torture (and maybe if you are unlucky, a Elite Guard), with are enemies that if you just aim for the arm with the weapon, the battle is already won. So even a new player may be able to do so by accident. It was a great feeling when I found out that by pure accident. Just so people know in fear and hunger (the first game) you can safely save later on (yeah you have to kill a boss but still is infinity saves) but there are other ways to guarantee a save without a coin flip... For example remember that bed in the area with the guards the coin flip is to see if anyone noticed you... So let's say you jus happen to kill all the enemies what would happen? A ganratee save, there are other ways to guarantee a save with empty scrolls and books of enlightenment but those are mostly luck. And yes killing guards is easy if you know when they will use the instant kill move (the first one is used in the second turn and then it will be used every third turn after) and GUARD to just avoid the attack without a coin toss. This is just a fun fact that might help people proguess in the game.
Only problem currently is that sometimes despite there being no enemies left the game will still ask you to do a coin flip. Just a hint (because I don’t want to spoiler the game): you can “dodge” via guarding (aka perfect guard) before some of the foe’s attacks (it’s usually before the “coin flip” attacks) to entirely nullify the said “coin flip” attack. Funger is very easy when you know what you are doing, especially Termina where there is a skill which prevents limb loss from everything except one boss while also making you nearly impossible to kill(and the other ones which increase your damage drastically after three turns). Fear and Hunger 1 doesn't make you roll to save if you kill every enemy on that floor before doing it, it also has a few guaranteed save methods, including 1 safe beds, books that let you save anywhere, etc
I wont disagree that its a fun and unique save system but i wont say its the best then again its probably one of the few games that makes save into a game mechanic that affects gameplay

majora's mask in if you don't time travel
On the heads part, if you get the real daans head, it is jover and the furry is dead
Fear and Hunger 1 doesn't make you roll to save if you kill every enemy on that floor before doing it, it also has a few guaranteed save methods, including 1 safe beds, books that let you save anywhere, etc
I love fear and hunger even though I haven't played either of them but... isn't the entire area of Majora's Mask also called Termina? 😂😂😂
RAD CHAD MADE A FUNGER VID HELL YEAH I LOVE F&H
ONE OF MY FAVORITE RUclipsRS MAKING A VIDEO ON FUNGER? LETS FUCKING GO
I wont disagree that its a fun and unique save system but i wont say its the best then again its probably one of the few games that makes save into a game mechanic that affects gameplay
MORE FEAR MORE HUNGER MORE FEAR MORE HUNGER
