When my fellow Berliners say: "Norway is so crazy expensive!", I don't think they realize how expensive it has become to live in the city. And the "perks" people mention are getting harder and more expensive to come by. So we stay at home in our over expansive flats...
It is insane! Back in Hamburg I payed 330 Euros for 10 m2. Not even classified as a room in the contract... And as you say, buy a coffee in a cafe every day and you have to calculate 200 euros too..

Hi! Fantastic video. What a lovely cabin! Myself and my fiancée are planning to move to Norway. Can I ask, where did you find this cabin? And also, being a European citizen myself, how easy is it to find and rent property? Thank you!
@tilldaling thank you. Yeah, I look on there alot! I'll keep looking and when I'm next over there, I'll see if I can arrange an appointment with an advisor
Maybe not directly related to your video, as a foreigner specifically from switzerland, is it allowed to buy properties in for example the location you are living? Nice video though :)
That depends a bit on the property. Generally, cabin/leisure properties should be possible. Farms are often a bit different as it is mandatory to live there in many cases :)
@@tilldaling I started learning Swedish again to reconnect with someone I hadn’t talked to in sometime. I was trying learn Norwegian as well but things were getting to confusing. Maybe in a couple years.
Yes, true, but... We are looking for a Småbruk (small farm) with a access to the ocean. Which is either really expensive (300K-500K) or given/sold within the family. Many financially high positioned norwegians buy that just as another vacation home and we can't keep up with there budgets. It's not unlike that thinks are sold at 200% of the market value atm
@@tilldaling Good luck to you. It is a good vision of life. I love your dog. A peaceful place to live, means to earn an income and a dog with wild space for the dog to enjoy: A good life.
You guys let me know if you have any other video wishes :)
I used to know some Deutsch but it has been many years. Looks like a nice place to live. Danke!
It indeed is a quite nice place :)
Can we just appreciate how epic this man’s hair and beard are!
😅😅

Love the place man ❤️ and obviously the video too 😉
Thank you so much Derry! Obviously not completely off grid but a good step in the right direction compared to the city :)
@@tilldaling agree with you 💯 man. Very true!
interesting initiative 👍
Thanks a lot :)
Lovely to see a dream come together! Who is the interior design mastermind, if I may? Hoping all’s well with the family! 🌟
Thank you very much, James! You’ve been here for a while now too ☺️ next weekend we are looking at a farm ☺️
You sound Canadian right now. We complain about the weather a lot!
But damn, we have a lot of opportunities to do so 😅
Another digital masterpiece 💯🎉🤩👑🔥
I’m glad you enjoy it, Wilson ☺️

Pretty much everything happens on Finn.no, I got registered here before renting so I can't say much on how it is without :)

Can you please tell in which area of Norway do you live? is it pretty much a normal rent price for this area?
It's in Trøndelag, mid-Norway. The countryside is always around this. But the further north you go, the cheaper it will be :)
I am curious are you fluent in Norwegian or do you get by with English?
Not fluent at all, but I can understand around 50-60 percent, guess the rest and answer in English :)

You can buy cheap property in Norway, why not do that?

Liker din genser :-) ,and of course your video
tusen takk! It's pretty old and I kind of "borrowed" it from the father of my girlfriend :)
