No matter how much foliage you put on that roof iff the pitch isn't steep enough for run off then the water will simply run through and you will get wet, sleep in that shelter on a good stormy night and see, by the way that's not thatch, you left all the leaves on and it's not packed in tightly enough, iff you can not do it right then you open yourself up to some constructive criticism, a good shelter for non rainy stays though, atb to you. P.S. turn your volume up, my tablet was nearly maxed out, thanks.
