With the parallels drawn between Kaeya's quest and this, with Lisa's quest giving us Pale Princess and the Six Pygmies and what happened in the newest AQ.. The potential connections between content from 3 years ago and now are being more and more serious.
Actually the Pale Princess and the Six Pygmies is very relevant with this whole thing. I read the future books that were leaked and it pretty much explains who the third descender is, why the gnoses are cursed, the motive for the Cryo Archon to get the Gnosis back (imo to revive the 3rd descender by gathering his 'body', hence why the fatui didn't seem too upset that the dragon authority was given to Neuvilette once again) and why mondstat is potentially the end game (looping back to the beginning once again).
He definitely says a lot of stuff that lines up, and he's clearly involved, but I've always gotten the impression that the core of this knowledge is from dormant stuff locked away in him. In other words, I don't think he's playing as 'active' of a role as you convey at the end. Whatever he 'knows', almost doesn't feel fully accessible by him. Which would make a lot of sense, seeing as we've had a quest relate to characters who lock knowledge away from themselves (Scarra) - and more recently, characters playing a role with a hidden agenda unknown to them (Furina). Maybe I'm just latching onto the vibes of previous story beats, but Kaeya fits the bill pretty well for both. If he does appear in the next interlude, then I would feel even more confident in this. On a side note, I like the theory that the patch before 4.0 was attempting to convey the core components of the act to come. Not only did our time in Botteland convey Focalors very well, but the characters who tag along (and got outfits) COULD very well also be chosen to convey similar story significance. Klee's connection to Hexenzirkel and dressing up as a witch could relate to the major witch shenanigans finally showing up in the main quest. And Kaeya tagging along to play act as well feels like it has similar room to foreshadow his involvement. Of course, if Kaeya isn't mentioned in the next interlude, then a lot of this goes out the window. But when isn't he relevant?!
re: how much Kaeya knows. I actually had a section on that drawing a comparison to Futuna in that he may also be in the dark about a lot of things. Or maybe a lil like Kafka from HSR, how Elio tells her just what she needs to know? Anyway yeah if we don’t get more Kaeya appearances in the future I’ll CRYYYY
Traveler could be both 'will' and 'sword' that will surpass tevyat. Miko states that Traveler ambition is not finding his own sister rather something else.. and upon our journey we slowly finding our own meaning about our journey in tevyat and it's secret hidden where the god does not gaze. Oh also when we fighting Ei.. ( only strongest *WILL* could surpass eternity's ) And Rene calculation is fail because the Arrival of fourth descender 'us' because we will change the outcome of fate on tevyat with our 'will' as journey begins.. Considering Genshin's initial title is Honkai Impact 4, it's fitting for the traveller, who's the 4th descender to bring change to the world. Like how it's parent story Honkai, in which the 3rd Honkai eruption brought Kiana, Mei and Bronya together, the 3rd descender brought negative change through the gnosis system.
I think it would be cool if the dull blade starts glowing and changed its form to Travelers' original sword in the final battle or something, just like a normal wooden sword turned into the Holy Blade. Like, the original sword could be the manifested form of Traveler's willpower. What if their Sibling already reclaimed the original sword because they have completed their journey and turned their experiences into the sword?

It would make total sense, since there's pretty much nothing in the game - even basic mechanics - that aren't lore-related. IT would be pretty weird if the Traveller's sword is totally meaningless.
12:50, the idea that the traveler was always going to arrive in mondstadt was foretold thus why we arrive in "Star fell valley" across from "Starsnatch" Cliff. Traverler is a star. If its possible to steal or "Snatch" A star from the sky we know the exact location the other person was standing when traveler fell.

i do love this theory so much, but i’ve always had another thought which relates back to the travelers instead which involves their swords. in the start up quest when you first name the traveler with their alias, they are carrying a unique sword that we no longer see after the cutscene is over for the traveler. the traveler tells paimon that their powers were taken with it & we can visually see how this is the case (the traveler no longer has their wings, their original element, nor do they have their sword). the only time we see the traveler’s signature sword is when we do the “we will be reunited” quest and meet the abyss twin. the abyss twin has their sword. they are able to use their original powers. yet the traveler cannot. i like the idea that kaeya has a role in all of this, but i can’t see it more than him just being suspicious of the traveler. this is mostly because he grew up directly alongside kaeya. he wasn’t cursed in the same way. but his fathers/grandfathers sword? i don’t think it’s the narzissessinkreuz sword. i think it’s the traveler’s sword, a sword with the same ability as the narzissessinkreuz sword. as we were told, it fell from celestia into the sea. well we know that the traveler was fighting up against the unknown god. i think that sword is originally the travelers lost sword. and the narzissessinkreuz may be able to become their new sword or be able to help them retrieve it. but that’s just my theory! ^^
I've wondered if perhaps the gnosis are a part of our sibling that has been stripped away. Like how Focalors ... [spoilers] . . . . . . split out her divinity, leaving behind Furina. Perhaps the sibling we have seen is just the human remains of what was once a divine descender.

@@thienphucn1 I think the suggestion was that the sibling _was_ the Third Descender, but after having parts of them split away, no longer has the will/power necessary to be called one. I think that's a pretty good theory, since as twins, it would make sense for us to be equal in that regard. And if the splitting of their will was done in Khaenri'ah, it would make sense that Irminsul believes they suddenly appeared there, "born" in Teyvat. Hmm, I like this theory, I'm gonna keep it in mind!
Following Ashikai's video, I believe that the reason Abyss sibling is not considered a descender is because they were summoned and arrived in Tevyat to carry the will of Khaenriah, while our traveller is very much carrying their own will to find(well convince at this point) their sibling to go with them, so our traveller still has a will that can match the entire world.
TBH.... The holy blade could have been the free 5 star sword given to us... and its amazing that the free 5 star weapon we get is locked behind a really really good world quest.

Always loving the heat you put out here Rooze. That said, this actually inspired some thoughts of mine. Primarily how the idea of the 'Holy Blade' might've had it's most positive version of outcome in the Inazuman archon quest end point. (A culmination of powerful Reason safely united.) I want to dive into that. Primarily how by the example of the Traveler, Kazuha and inevitably the Visions of those fighting the Raiden Shogun made a miracle happen. I want to begin with the Traveler and how they were used as a 'catalyst' of burning a pathway for those very wills, something Yae Miko specifically points out towards 'They too have ambitions, which they long since entrusted to you.' Visions are a height of consummate human will and on top of that, the Traveler with only just a mere 100 of them managed to generate the scale of power to actively combat Raiden Ei. (Also shattering the effects of the Vision locking ability) These wills didn't find themselves subjugated, but aligned in a way where their powers actively resonated with each other. This is where I'd love to get Kazuha involved as well. Though his instance was momentarily brief in comparison, he managed to accomplish the same feat through the united front of his Vision and his best friend's in one being. It revealed how there's a very human potential where they can also be a 'holy blade' for many tales if resonance can be created. What this can imply? There's a lot tbh, mainly how there could be a thread of resemblance between Humanity and the Traveler that could be a pivotal missing link. It brings me back to a curious thought that Narziessenkreuz had about Visions in general, how amidst their unique research and cult-y sophistry they're described as 'errors', in a way that makes it sound like they can't be assimilated at all, thus lost. They never would've had a chance to know that such a possibility was possible, or even the means to tap such a spiritual height due to the path of physical evolutions made. (On time of having all that consciousness in a hot pot.) So that brings the up another question to me, should a Vision be considered the 'Holy Blade' of one's fate? Going by how it doesn't need to be a sword and the unique abilities the users channel from the might of their own desire, it left me contemplating. Also does this mean by chance that Yae Miko may have figured out what the Traveler is? Given how she considered the trade of a Gnosis vastly more worthwhile in the name of the Traveler's safety, and that other cutscene as well, they might've picked up on this.
Interesting... Here's what I've been thinking - Khaenriah summoned Traveler because they knew the "true nature of the world" by using "forbidden knowledge" from the abyss and wanted to change it with the help of traveler. Traveler, having a strong enough will gets classified as the 4th descender by abyss and irminsul. The 3rd descender was also summoned by khaenriah but they died somehow and now their remains are the gnosis as stated by skirk. Natlan's archon quest is named "Ode of Resurrection" because it is going to be the last nation whose gnosis is needed by fatui and Tsaritsa to "Resurrect" the 3rd descender. The end game can be the resurrected 3rd and 4th descender vs celestia. The sibling and traveler are twins and got summoned together by khaenriah but the sibling did not have enough "will" to be declared a descender and thus they chose to side with abyss order and play out their part in such a manner that it would lead traveler to change the world. But there are two major things which don't add up in my theory which is 1.where or how did traveler get separated from sibling in the timeline? 2.what is Paimon's identity and purpose? Feel free to correct me if you think I'm going delulu 😂
I think all this is generally consistent with what we know. I think the only thing (which I admittedly did not mention) is that technically we only know 'the heavens responded to the summoning' (from Scaramouche) and khaenri'ah seemed to be watching the twins' orbit (from that one coop namecard). And it seems like they ended up with the sibling and not traveler for reasons unknown. I'm personally still super unsure why the sibling isn't a descender. Did they have a will and lose it, or did they never have it? Many questions to be added to your list there, all of which I wonder about lmao. (Also ty for sharing 😋)
I'm actually pretty sure the Sinner has Kaeya's voice. Now, it could just be because Kaeya's VA was already doing his voice lines for Kaeya's quest and they asked him to voice the Sinner for that scene and it's just a placeholder, but.... It could also be because they are connected. Since, yeah, I main Kaeya and the Sinner's voice was *definitely* his.
oh man so like, back during that time, I investigated this, although I don't think I really mentioned it in my 3.5 trailer analysis or Caribert video. Maybe in the 3.5 vid. I like went on a very.... hyperfixated deep-dive into the Sinner's voice, but I don't think I shared my specific findings/opinions on them, publicly at least. The main points: (1) in CN and JP (and i think KR?) it's a different voice actor, they do have to list them for CN and JP. And iirc, and they definitely sound different (Sinner v Kaeya I mean). (2) this was NOT the case for EN. They don't list VAs (although I think they retroactively go back to edit the VA list after 'reveals'). This may be TOTAL delusion on my part, but IMHO there's features with the Sinner's vocal patterns that come across as Kaeya's - so maybe Josey's work, with distortion. I cannot explain the insanity that went into comparing the "oh, dear creature" of the Sinner, and "oh, [something]" by Kaeya. tldr - I agree with you, EN sinner sounds v close to Kaeya (as a fellow Kaeya main, but also as someone who has edited a LOT of Sinner and Kaeya content for vids) If I am delulu: others also saw it, and therefore the delulu had good justification, making it not delulu for now at least!!! And I doubt they'd do placeholders, there are PLENTY of voices they have planned way in advance (e.g. Alice). And at this point I could EASILY spin plenty of Kaeya-Sinner connections based on lore 🤪
@@roozeveltfox The fact that the voice actors are different in JP, CN and KR does make me wonder if it's relevant, but in English, I mean-- You are absolutely not delulu. That is Kaeya's VA, you can hear it not only in the voice (if you ignore the distortion), but also in tone and way of speaking (the "oh", like you said, but also the "why", "flower", "fate", and the "I am no god" sounds *exactly* like Kaeya, and the "I shall shed a tear at the end of time" is very much something he would say, too). So yeah, I really think Kaeya's VA voiced the Sinner, I just don't know if that is "on purpose" or not. Like you, I see a ton of connections that would make a *lot* of sense, but the fact that other languages did not do this makes me wonder if it's really relevant or not.

This whole "Reason" plot reminds me of the Core of Reason story in Honkai Impact 3rd, where it was passed from Welt Joyce to Joaquin, that became Welt Yang and then passed to Bronya.

The Gnosis were created by the First and Second who came because the First couldn't sustain Teyvat after the battle. Which sprung the Archon war over the control of said Gnosis. Before then it was the 3 Moon Sisters.

In the end it's always about Kaeya 😊. The lore drops have been crazy since Sumeru! Can't wait to see what else we find out about descenders and dragons in Natlan and beyond.
i think every characters from Genshin Manga is gonna be so important for future plot, and the reason why Venti story quest part 2 until now isn't even out
I didn't realize the weapon description of the Narzissenkreuz sword was just a continuation of the dull blade. I think it would be super cool if we continue to refine this sword in future regions somehow, with it eventually turning into the sword we had in the opening cutscene. That would be a nice way to use the extra oculus you get in each region actually, considering you would necessarily have to do pretty much all the major world quests as a prerequisite to have access to all of them in the first place.
Am I the only one that thought the Holy Blade was the Traveler’s original sword when it was first revealed in this quest? Now I’m starting to think the original sword was a physical manifestation of Traveler’s will….
I LOVE this idea. I've been thinking the extra oculi are just nice mementos or hoyo's way of cutting players some slack, but now that I think about it, if players are going out of their way to collect all the oculi anyway, what's one more? And it would be so cool to utilize them like how you suggested. Fingers crossed it's that or something equivalently interesting!

The whole Holy blade and descender's will thing made me think back to our final fight against Ei. Ei: "You're looking for a chance to shake my "will"... aren't you?" Traveler: " I'm not here to debate your Ideals. I'm here to demolish them." and then traveler using the will of the vision bearers and even Teppei to defeat her.

It might be that the 'treasured sword' of Kaeya's grandfather (founder of abyss order) is the abyss sibling and not the traveler, but then it wouldn't make sense that they aren't considered a descender. Nahida did say however that the Irminsul records on our sibling become 'fuzzy' and she doesn't know what happened at the end of their journey, and Kaeya mentions his grandfather later hid his treasured sword away to keep greedy pirates from finding it.
If I had a penny for every time that Hoyoverse had a blonde from beyond a world collect 7 gems to complete a sword that can cut the world itself, I’d have two pennies. It’s not much, but it’s wierd that it happened twice.
This reminded me of Childe’s peculiar wording, somewhere in his stories or voicelines it says he’s not opposed to be seen as a weapon rather than a person, and in fact considers this a praise. I don’t think Childe himself is connected to the actual personified holy weapons, but he might have heard the discourse from Skirk and adopted it his way.
I know this is mostly a video about Kaeya, but getting back on the Narzissenkreuz track, after the finale, the idea of making a fairytale out of all this is starting to sound all the more fitting))
Kinda funny how Kaeya went from having no signature weapon into having 2. The new Wolf-fang absolutely matches Kaeya in gameplay and aethetic as well as giving him a mirror of sorts to Dilluc and the Wolf's Gravestone.
I was super excited for the narssizenkruz finale especially with tidbits of it being included in the 4.2 trailer and it didn't disappoint, Rene is an example of how one could actually have all the right questions and unravel so much but still not yield the most optimal result. Even thou he missed one variant he technically did foretell the arrival of the all devouring Narwhal and the bit about " drinking the amniotic fluids of the world dry" on one hand and on the other succeeded in maintaining his own will and individuality unlike the rest of fontainians who dissolved and were "no more". It's interesting different approches to the prophecy, either riding the tide of the the apocalypse and retaining "wills" version of survival versus what focalors did. I wish caterpillar let Rene explain his origin thou TTTT ... SIGH AND OF COURSE ALL LORE LINKS TO KAEYA Hopefully we learn more about the descenders next time we meet up with dain.
Listening to the pirate grandpapa part made me instantly connect the Pierro is Kaeya's grandfather theory (via ashikai) then go: oooh, so Pierro trying to make abyss twin into a holy blade, but maybe didn't succeed, but the aby twin's journey mirrors ouw own in a samasara. AND THEN i just had the thought that the holy blade has a light AND a dark side. So then aby twin is the ousia half, and now traveler is currently forging the pnuma half and then they'll combine like DBZ fusion style?! But, Pierro is likely ALLOWING Traveler to roam free is for this reason and going through GREAT PAINS to not get in traveler's way, but be on amiable terms with traveler in the end as a BACKUP plan in case the gnosis collector's items dont pan out... Or maybe they need both plans in concert? Cause the Harth sibs make it blindingly obvious, and uncomfortably clear that they are trying to be on our good side. And dottore, who was aware of our attachment to nahida, didnt attack her like signora did to venti, but instead negotiated with her so we dont hunt him down to the ends of the earth..... Hmm, i have thought, clearly.
This particular idea that descenders are heavenly weapons makes it straight to the point! I suppose, the whole Narzissenkreuz quest line was created to reveal the essence of our identity. And when the traveller has the strongest will he begins to glow like the sword. Amazing. I believe now all the chess figures are on the board. Soooo impatient to see what comes next.

man i love kaeya. i agree there's something more going on there! this makes me wonder more about that teacup from the archon quest, and possible connection to diluc >_> im looking forward to more hexenzirkel lore in the future. i cant wait to see how it all ties together
this story is born out of sacrifices and offerings. this flame of revenge burns for years. Is death the mother of that great war which is talked about by the nature? has that saviour come from the city of the sky, whose feet are kissed by the earth. is the one who sacrifices capable of changing the fate?
ok, you mentioning the thing about 'being able to cut through will' reminded me of the second fight against Ei in the Inazuma Archon Quest. Yae Miko specifically says "Surely you don't think your ambition alone is enough to shake Ei's will, do you?" and the Traveler needing the ambition or WILL of the other people that got their Visions in the Statue of the Omnipresent God to break through Ei's. Same goes for Ei against the Puppet in her second story quest. And if you think about it, the SAME happened in Liyue with the Adepti granting the Traveler their powers or WILL to protect Liyue, and in Sumeru where through the Akasha and Nahida, ALL of Sumeru helped the Traveler defeat MechaMouche through their 'wisdom' or maybe WILL to protect their nation/Archon. There is a pattern of the people of a nation channeling their will to the Traveler to break through, or cut open, the threat to their existence or safety. The Traveler is learning to use their own will as a conduit of the will of the people of Teyvat to break the will of the world itself. The Holy Blade is the visualisation of our progress so far. We went from Dull Blade to Holy Blade. What if at the end of our journey, when the Traveler has refound their original will, the blade will evolve into their 'old' sword from the beginning cutscene to symbolise that?

Actually the Pale Princess and the Six Pygmies is very relevant with this whole thing. I read the future books that were leaked and it pretty much explains who the third descender is, why the gnoses are cursed, the motive for the Cryo Archon to get the Gnosis back (imo to revive the 3rd descender by gathering his 'body', hence why the fatui didn't seem too upset that the dragon authority was given to Neuvilette once again) and why mondstat is potentially the end game (looping back to the beginning once again).
I believe Lisa explicitly states that she's neither part of the hexenzirkel nor does she want to be in her "About Mona" voice line.

He definitely says a lot of stuff that lines up, and he's clearly involved, but I've always gotten the impression that the core of this knowledge is from dormant stuff locked away in him. In other words, I don't think he's playing as 'active' of a role as you convey at the end. Whatever he 'knows', almost doesn't feel fully accessible by him. Which would make a lot of sense, seeing as we've had a quest relate to characters who lock knowledge away from themselves (Scarra) - and more recently, characters playing a role with a hidden agenda unknown to them (Furina). Maybe I'm just latching onto the vibes of previous story beats, but Kaeya fits the bill pretty well for both. If he does appear in the next interlude, then I would feel even more confident in this.
On a side note, I like the theory that the patch before 4.0 was attempting to convey the core components of the act to come. Not only did our time in Botteland convey Focalors very well, but the characters who tag along (and got outfits) COULD very well also be chosen to convey similar story significance. Klee's connection to Hexenzirkel and dressing up as a witch could relate to the major witch shenanigans finally showing up in the main quest. And Kaeya tagging along to play act as well feels like it has similar room to foreshadow his involvement. Of course, if Kaeya isn't mentioned in the next interlude, then a lot of this goes out the window. But when isn't he relevant?!
re: how much Kaeya knows. I actually had a section on that drawing a comparison to Futuna in that he may also be in the dark about a lot of things. Miko states that Traveler ambition is not finding his own sister rather something else.. and upon our journey we slowly finding our own meaning about our journey in tevyat and it's secret hidden where the god does not gaze. Considering Genshin's initial title is Honkai Impact 4, it's fitting for the traveller, who's the 4th descender to bring change to the world. Like how it's parent story Honkai, in which the 3rd Honkai eruption brought Kiana, Mei and Bronya together, the 3rd descender brought negative change through the gnosis system.

I think it would be cool if the dull blade starts glowing and changed its form to Travelers' original sword in the final battle or something, just like a normal wooden sword turned into the Holy Blade. It would make total sense, since there's pretty much nothing in the game - even basic mechanics - that aren't lore-related. IT would be pretty weird if the Traveller's sword is totally meaningless.

12:50, the idea that the traveler was always going to arrive in mondstadt was foretold thus why we arrive in "Star fell valley" across from "Starsnatch" Cliff. Traverler is a star. If its possible to steal or "Snatch" A star from the sky we know the exact location the other person was standing when traveler fell.

i do love this theory so much, but i’ve always had another thought which relates back to the travelers instead which involves their swords. in the start up quest when you first name the traveler with their alias, they are carrying a unique sword that we no longer see after the cutscene is over for the traveler. the traveler tells paimon that their powers were taken with it & we can visually see how this is the case (the traveler no longer has their wings, their original element, nor do they have their sword). the only time we see the traveler’s signature sword is when we do the “we will be reunited” quest and meet the abyss twin. the abyss twin has their sword. they are able to use their original powers. yet the traveler cannot.
i like the idea that kaeya has a role in all of this, but i can’t see it more than him just being suspicious of the traveler. this is mostly because he grew up directly alongside kaeya. he wasn’t cursed in the same way.
but his fathers/grandfathers sword? i don’t think it’s the narzissessinkreuz sword. i think it’s the traveler’s sword, a sword with the same ability as the narzissessinkreuz sword. as we were told, it fell from celestia into the sea. well we know that the traveler was fighting up against the unknown god. i think that sword is originally the travelers lost sword. and the narzissessinkreuz may be able to become their new sword or be able to help them retrieve it. but that’s just my theory! ^^

I think that's a pretty good theory, since as twins, it would make sense for us to be equal in that regard. And if the splitting of their will was done in Khaenri'ah, it would make sense that Irminsul believes they suddenly appeared there, "born" in Teyvat. Hmm, I like this theory, I'm gonna keep it in mind!
Following Ashikai's video, I believe that the reason Abyss sibling is not considered a descender is because they were summoned and arrived in Tevyat to carry the will of Khaenriah, while our traveller is very much carrying their own will to find(well convince at this point) their sibling to go with them, so our traveller still has a will that can match the entire world.
TBH.... The holy blade could have been the free 5 star sword given to us... and its amazing that the free 5 star weapon we get is locked behind a really really good world quest.

Always loving the heat you put out here Rooze. That said, this actually inspired some thoughts of mine. Primarily how the idea of the 'Holy Blade' might've had it's most positive version of outcome in the Inazuman archon quest end point. (A culmination of powerful Reason safely united.) I want to dive into that.
Primarily how by the example of the Traveler, Kazuha and inevitably the Visions of those fighting the Raiden Shogun made a miracle happen. I want to begin with the Traveler and how they were used as a 'catalyst' of burning a pathway for those very wills, something Yae Miko specifically points out towards 'They too have ambitions, which they long since entrusted to you.' Visions are a height of consummate human will and on top of that, the Traveler with only just a mere 100 of them managed to generate the scale of power to actively combat Raiden Ei. (Also shattering the effects of the Vision locking ability) These wills didn't find themselves subjugated, but aligned in a way where their powers actively resonated with each other.
This is where I'd love to get Kazuha involved as well. Though his instance was momentarily brief in comparison, he managed to accomplish the same feat through the united front of his Vision and his best friend's in one being. It revealed how there's a very human potential where they can also be a 'holy blade' for many tales if resonance can be created. What this can imply? There's a lot tbh, mainly how there could be a thread of resemblance between Humanity and the Traveler that could be a pivotal missing link.
It brings me back to a curious thought that Narziessenkreuz had about Visions in general, how amidst their unique research and cult-y sophistry they're described as 'errors', in a way that makes it sound like they can't be assimilated at all, thus lost. They never would've had a chance to know that such a possibility was possible, or even the means to tap such a spiritual height due to the path of physical evolutions made. (On time of having all that consciousness in a hot pot.) So that brings the up another question to me, should a Vision be considered the 'Holy Blade' of one's fate? Going by how it doesn't need to be a sword and the unique abilities the users channel from the might of their own desire, it left me contemplating.
Also does this mean by chance that Yae Miko may have figured out what the Traveler is? Given how she considered the trade of a Gnosis vastly more worthwhile in the name of the Traveler's safety, and that other cutscene as well, they might've picked up on this.
Now THIS is a epic theory and had a good amount of reason behind it
Interesting... Here's what I've been thinking -
Khaenriah summoned Traveler because they knew the "true nature of the world" by using "forbidden knowledge" from the abyss and wanted to change it with the help of traveler. Traveler, having a strong enough will gets classified as the 4th descender by abyss and irminsul.
The 3rd descender was also summoned by khaenriah but they died somehow and now their remains are the gnosis as stated by skirk.
Natlan's archon quest is named "Ode of Resurrection" because it is going to be the last nation whose gnosis is needed by fatui and Tsaritsa to "Resurrect" the 3rd descender.
The end game can be the resurrected 3rd and 4th descender vs celestia.
The sibling and traveler are twins and got summoned together by khaenriah but the sibling did not have enough "will" to be declared a descender and thus they chose to side with abyss order and play out their part in such a manner that it would lead traveler to change the world.
But there are two major things which don't add up in my theory which is
1.where or how did traveler get separated from sibling in the timeline?
2.what is Paimon's identity and purpose?

I think all this is generally consistent with what we know. I think the only thing (which I admittedly did not mention) is that technically we only know 'the heavens responded to the summoning' (from Scaramouche) and khaenri'ah seemed to be watching the twins' orbit (from that one coop namecard). And it seems like they ended up with the sibling and not traveler for reasons unknown. I'm personally still super unsure why the sibling isn't a descender. Did they have a will and lose it, or did they never have it? Many questions to be added to your list there, all of which I wonder about lmao. (Also ty for sharing 😋)

I'm actually pretty sure the Sinner has Kaeya's voice. Now, it could just be because Kaeya's VA was already doing his voice lines for Kaeya's quest and they asked him to voice the Sinner for that scene and it's just a placeholder, but.... It could also be because they are connected. Since, yeah, I main Kaeya and the Sinner's voice was *definitely* his.
oh man so like, back during that time, I investigated this, although I don't think I really mentioned it in my 3.5 trailer analysis or Caribert video. Maybe in the 3.5 vid. I like went on a very.... hyperfixated deep-dive into the Sinner's voice, but I don't think I shared my specific findings/opinions on them, publicly at least. The main points:
(1) in CN and JP (and i think KR?) it's a different voice actor, they do have to list them for CN and JP. And iirc, and they definitely sound different (Sinner v Kaeya I mean).
(2) this was NOT the case for EN. They don't list VAs (although I think they retroactively go back to edit the VA list after 'reveals'). This may be TOTAL delusion on my part, but IMHO there's features with the Sinner's vocal patterns that come across as Kaeya's - so maybe Josey's work, with distortion. I cannot explain the insanity that went into comparing the "oh, dear creature" of the Sinner, and "oh, [something]" by Kaeya.
tldr - I agree with you, EN sinner sounds v close to Kaeya (as a fellow Kaeya main, but also as someone who has edited a LOT of Sinner and Kaeya content for vids)
If I am delulu: others also saw it, and therefore the delulu had good justification, making it not delulu for now at least!!! And I doubt they'd do placeholders, there are PLENTY of voices they have planned way in advance (e.g. Alice). And at this point I could EASILY spin plenty of Kaeya-Sinner connections based on lore 🤪
@@roozeveltfox The fact that the voice actors are different in JP, CN and KR does make me wonder if it's relevant, but in English, I mean-- You are absolutely not delulu. That is Kaeya's VA, you can hear it not only in the voice (if you ignore the distortion), but also in tone and way of speaking (the "oh", like you said, but also the "why", "flower", "fate", and the "I am no god" sounds *exactly* like Kaeya, and the "I shall shed a tear at the end of time" is very much something he would say, too). So yeah, I really think Kaeya's VA voiced the Sinner, I just don't know if that is "on purpose" or not. Like you, I see a ton of connections that would make a *lot* of sense, but the fact that other languages did not do this makes me wonder if it's really relevant or not.

The Gnosis were created by the First and Second who came because the First couldn't sustain Teyvat after the battle. Which sprung the Archon war over the control of said Gnosis. Before then it was the 3 Moon Sisters.

I didn't realize the weapon description of the Narzissenkreuz sword was just a continuation of the dull blade. I think it would be super cool if we continue to refine this sword in future regions somehow, with it eventually turning into the sword we had in the opening cutscene. That would be a nice way to use the extra oculus you get in each region actually, considering you would necessarily have to do pretty much all the major world quests as a prerequisite to have access to all of them in the first place.

I LOVE this idea. I've been thinking the extra oculi are just nice mementos or hoyo's way of cutting players some slack, but now that I think about it, if players are going out of their way to collect all the oculi anyway, what's one more? And it would be so cool to utilize them like how you suggested. Fingers crossed it's that or something equivalently interesting!

I dont think your theory about Kaeya being in Mondstadt for prophetic reasons is too far off the trail. Some things do add up.
It might be that the 'treasured sword' of Kaeya's grandfather (founder of abyss order) is the abyss sibling and not the traveler, but then it wouldn't make sense that they aren't considered a descender. Nahida did say however that the Irminsul records on our sibling become 'fuzzy' and she doesn't know what happened at the end of their journey, and Kaeya mentions his grandfather later hid his treasured sword away to keep greedy pirates from finding it.
If I had a penny for every time that Hoyoverse had a blonde from beyond a world collect 7 gems to complete a sword that can cut the world itself, I’d have two pennies. It’s not much, but it’s wierd that it happened twice.

This reminded me of Childe’s peculiar wording, somewhere in his stories or voicelines it says he’s not opposed to be seen as a weapon rather than a person, and in fact considers this a praise. I don’t think Childe himself is connected to the actual personified holy weapons, but he might have heard the discourse from Skirk and adopted it his way.

I love how they give subtle foreshadowing in Narzissenkreuz Ordo quest with Paimon eating Chicken-Mushroom Skewer. Which is Kaeya specialty dish.

I was super excited for the narssizenkruz finale especially with tidbits of it being included in the 4.2 trailer and it didn't disappoint, Rene is an example of how one could actually have all the right questions and unravel so much but still not yield the most optimal result. Even thou he missed one variant he technically did foretell the arrival of the all devouring Narwhal and the bit about " drinking the amniotic fluids of the world dry" on one hand and on the other succeeded in maintaining his own will and individuality unlike the rest of fontainians who dissolved and were "no more". It's interesting different approches to the prophecy, either riding the tide of the the apocalypse and retaining "wills" version of survival versus what focalors did.

Listening to the pirate grandpapa part made me instantly connect the Pierro is Kaeya's grandfather theory (via ashikai) then go: oooh, so Pierro trying to make abyss twin into a holy blade, but maybe didn't succeed, but the aby twin's journey mirrors ouw own in a samasara. AND THEN i just had the thought that the holy blade has a light AND a dark side. So then aby twin is the ousia half, and now traveler is currently forging the pnuma half and then they'll combine like DBZ fusion style?!

This particular idea that descenders are heavenly weapons makes it straight to the point! I suppose, the whole Narzissenkreuz quest line was created to reveal the essence of our identity. And when the traveller has the strongest will he begins to glow like the sword. Amazing.

ok, you mentioning the thing about 'being able to cut through will' reminded me of the second fight against Ei in the Inazuma Archon Quest. Yae Miko specifically says "Surely you don't think your ambition alone is enough to shake Ei's will, do you?" and the Traveler needing the ambition or WILL of the other people that got their Visions in the Statue of the Omnipresent God to break through Ei's. Same goes for Ei against the Puppet in her second story quest.
And if you think about it, the SAME happened in Liyue with the Adepti granting the Traveler their powers or WILL to protect Liyue, and in Sumeru where through the Akasha and Nahida, ALL of Sumeru helped the Traveler defeat MechaMouche through their 'wisdom' or maybe WILL to protect their nation/Archon.
There is a pattern of the people of a nation channeling their will to the Traveler to break through, or cut open, the threat to their existence or safety.
The Traveler is learning to use their own will as a conduit of the will of the people of Teyvat to break the will of the world itself. The Holy Blade is the visualisation of our progress so far. We went from Dull Blade to Holy Blade. What if at the end of our journey, when the Traveler has refound their original will, the blade will evolve into their 'old' sword from the beginning cutscene to symbolise that?

Very good speculation. Everyone and their mother is believing our sibling is third descender but DIED and was ressurected in Teyvat (hence the Irminsul record) but i like your connection of Gnoses to a holy blade much better.
