This song hurts more because it's about a mother telling how much she loves her son and she'll be with him no matter what. Cindy died in the early 2000s due to cancer and her son also died late 2000s with the same disease. Cindy and her son now together.
Perhaps my favorite song from my favorite City Pop Artist. This is a very clever reworking of "Isn't She Lovely" RIP the incredible, amazing Cindy 🙏🏿🙌🏿🎶
The whole album is SO GOOD! Every single song from this album is a masterpiece. I was so impressed by her work. I also ordered her “love life”(her first debut album featuring Stevie Wonder, you should definitely listen to “YOU & I” and “Skin Deep” from this album) and “angel touch” CD’s, just to place them on my shelves. 👍
Nice to see you back!, this one a banger too. Just gonna recall my suggestion back then which was Omega Tribe's Scramble Cross and Futari No Natsu Monogatari(Never Ending Summer) your gonna love this two songs, both are in the same album "Another Summer".
It's nice to have you back! This Cindy song is banging and I would like to recall a suggestion I did some videos ago. It was Magic Ways by Tatsuro Yamahista, i think you are really going to enjoy this one! ;)
BELIVE IN US (Keep trusting in us) / CINDY ( Mayumi Yamamoto) (WATASHITACHI o SHINNJITE ITE) Music Composed ,Produced by CINDY. Arranged by Hiroshi Narumi Lyrics: Kan Chinfa From her 2nd album “ ANGEL TOUCH ”Released June 25, 1990. //MUSICIANS CINDY: Vocals, Chorus, Hiroshi Narumi: E. Piano, Keyboards, Guitars (ex-Tohoku Shinkansen) Masato Matsuda: Bass, Keyboards (ex-Paradigm Shift) Jun Aoyama: Drums (ex-PRISM, ex-T-SQUARE, ex-Tatsuro Yamashita support band) Motoya Hamaguchi: Percussion Toshihiro Nakanishi Group: Strings Hiroshi Koizumi: Programming (Rough English translation of the Japanese lyrics) Even if the blue sky is obscured by clouds Even if the buds wither and fall If there's a little fountain by your side, you can start your life again and again Don't be afraid to keep calling Keep trusting in us Echoing through the valley of cold buildings, your voice is heard by us. The tears you shed over your current sadness don't even have the power to change your future But if it can make your broken heart feel a little lighter now For you It doesn't matter if it's from afar, just keep calling out to us Even if it's painful, keep on screaming Relying on your voice, we will not lose our way, we will go to the place where you are Never give up, come and teach us Keep trusting in us Keep telling everyone that it's foolish for humans to fight with each other You're in tears right now, screaming at someone. We don't know what your words mean, But we will never forget the feeling of pain and sadness that your voice conveys Forever Where are you? Are you just a little child? Is there no one to protect you? You may be hurting, but don't forget to love. Keep trusting in us We hope that one day you will be so happy that you don't remember a single sad day in your past.
Yes nice to have you back with another Citypop reaction. Life gets in the way, I understand. What a smooth track! Never heard this before, she has a beautiful voice. ❤ also can I recommend Yoshino Fujimal - Girl’s In Love With Me for a reaction?
The rest of the tracks on this album are not this chill. But they are some of the best songs of all time I stg. Cindy is PEAK. Maybe my favorite city pop artist. Regarding “not attempting the name”: Hear me out friends. Learning how to read romaji (romanized Japanese) is seriously not hard at all. Please. It only takes a half hour, I’m not kidding. Each Japanese syllabary (vowel sound or consonant+vowel sound) only has one consistent pronunciation, and it’s the same in romaji! If you learn what A I E O and U sound like in Japanese (aah, ee, eh, oh, oo) and can attach a consonant in front of them (kah, kee, keh, koh, koo) you can basically read romaji, with just a few extra rules to pick up on (pronouncing R sounds as soft d sounds, how to say tsu, leaving ending u sounds silent, extending vowel sounds before double consonants, giving each syllabary an equal timing, and some more nuanced ones that are less crucial). Even if you don’t get these extra concepts right away you’re still already doing way better than not speaking at all. The only thing standing between you and perfect pronunciation at that point is pitch accent, which is more than excusable for non-native speakers especially if they aren’t students of the language. Stop being scared of mispronouncing Japanese yall! English speakers use mispronounced borrowed Japanese words all of the time. Japanese has an entire alphabet for making foreign-sourced words compatible with their syllabaries, almost like the reverse of romaji (Katakana). They will forgive us for not having perfect pronunciation. Not even attempting to say a title that’s already been romanized for you is probably more insulting than mispronouncing it. It’s not entirely dissimilar to a Japanese person seeing the word ハンバーガー (hanbāgā) (hamburger) and saying “ah no I’m not even attempting to say that”. See how silly that is? I became comfortable reading romaji by looking up city pop lyrics in romaji so I can sing along. This has had added benefits in my early stage of learning Japanese, just being exposed to patterns and building blocks of the language. From there it’s easier to move into learning the Japanese alphabets, which is where I’m at currently. Kanji is a different story, but romaji is a cakewalk. The entire purpose of romaji is to help romantic language speakers read and speak Japanese. Just do it. There’s no excuses. Just slow it down!!! After no time at all, you will learn to naturally see the word “ite” and automatically think “ee-teh” instead of “ight”. Wah-tah-shee-tah-chee Oh Shee-nn-jee-teh ee-teh. (“nn” [ん] is a syllabary on its own, so it should have equal timing with the other syllables, therefore you still say “shin” but with the length of two syllables, or more properly it would sound like “shee-n”) Easy. Such a useful skill that takes barely any practice to master. You will also find that it makes more sense than English in terms of pronunciation because of the unambiguity of it! Back to the ite example: composite, petite, mite
Hello, TDotBebop. First of all, welcome back. I've been waiting for your video and reaction. Thank you so much for reviewing this song! Do you remember me? That's not exactly true. All of her sons are still alive. None of them died.
@@kelp5801 oh ok. glad the rumors are false!
My life was forever changed after listening to Cindy's 'Angel Touch.'
Cindy is very overlooked in the Citypop scene.

Even if the blue sky is obscured by clouds
Even if the buds wither and fall
If there's a little fountain by your side, you can start your life again and again
Don't be afraid to keep calling

This may be a little different from what you consider City Pop, but I recommend "Douzo Konomama" by Maruyama Keiko. It has a bossa nova feel to it.
Very famous song
