I guess there are some similarities between Finnish and Japanese, both have like how to say this idk phonetic simplicity between vowel-consonants and a lack of grammatical gender! Kaurismäki always does this in his films where hectakes very well known Finnish stereotypes and heightens them, like sitting in a pub with a mate not saying a word cz thats wuite true in the sense that most of us are unaware of the concept ”awkward silence” and speak only when we feel we have something to say 🤣
