Thank you so much for the pattern. This will be my first pullover sweater. I made a button down a few years ago. I found this a few days ago and just finished the increases. So far so good! Now on to some mindless knitting. I am using Premier Puzzle yarn in Checkers. Almost the same color as you are using.
The pattern is free, so it can't hurt to give it a shot. I know this is an old comment but I hope you revisit the idea. I'm a beginner too but what I like to do is make a mini version if I'm too confused. Good luck!
If doing a tutorial on a "beginner" sweater, take a look at "Ashley Lillis", she shows every single step. As a result I was able to knit my 1st sweater from watching her video for the "Fall Bluff Sweater". This video leaves out IMO one of the most important parts and that is to divide for the sleeves. Telling is not "demonstrating", sometimes beginners need more.
Thankyou, you made sense of the abbreviations. After buying a top down book I struggled working out the abbreviations which were not all in the book or didn't explain it so well. I know where to come if I get stuck.
I was so pleased to see this video as I was confused by the written instructions. Feeling more inspired, I shall endeavour to try to knit this. My first sweater.
Really liked the Raglan tutorial, since I was struggling with a pattern that has a cast on front. Shame you didn't finish the tutorial for the sweater. I was thinking of stopping the sweater I'm on and doing this sweater instead, since this will be my first knitted sweater.
While this is not my first sweater pattern I’ve knitted, I tried this pattern and really wanted to finish it, however, the yarn “wormed” terribly. And, my tension was really good. So I had to rip it all out and I decided to crochet a sweater out of this yarn instead. So far, no worming. Hoping to try my hand at knitting this sweater pattern with the velvet yarn again.
Love this yarn…used it for hats. BUT! I haven’t washed them yet and understand from knitters that the yarn falls apart when washed. So sad. Tell me this is not true! I would love to knit this sweater, but don’t want to cry if it falls apart!
the pattern itself is a beginner pattern. this video is just meant to show you how to set up the raglan yoke. you should learn how to read patterns instead of relying on video tutorials.
I'm going to try to knit this sweater. This is my first time knitting a sweater. I a little concerned with the use of dpns. I've never knitted with them.
I want to make a sweater this upcoming year, I have made a ton of scarves, fingerless mittens. I want to make a sweater. this sounds good!! do-able. for me.
Hi there ? Are you actually knitting in the round or going back and forth as if with two needles - the circ needle just to accommodate stitches? Cheers , Annette from Australia 🇦🇺
I wish I read the comments... Spent hours doing this but the rest of the pattern is doing things that the video didn't go over so I don't know if I'll be able to finish it... Very sad about it seeing as the tutorial quality was very good and with help I think I would've been able to finish it :(
This would have been a great first sweater for me to create but unfortunately it doesn’t show the parts I’m confused with, how to separate it into the 3 parts AND how to use the shorter needles. Now to try to find another video arggg, wasted almost 18 minutes. I did however love the first part, only if there was a part 2 of this! Maybe once I’ll learn I can show others on my channel how to do it lol. I’ve been searching for days for this kind of easy pattern but don’t understand all the written, well I understand what it says but no idea how to do it. Wish marly bird did this video, js!
Have never seen Where the back is made longer than the front by casting on only the back and then making additional stitches in the front to continue knitting the front interesting. Oh what about the ribbing?
As a beginner who hasn't made a a sweater yet because dividing the sleeves/building the sweater especially near the end is confusing, this video just made me laugh. Some tutorial, barely read the rest of the confusing part of the pattern or explained it
@@gwenifredd @nomadine85 Yes, you go back and add the ribbing at the end. If you are worried about if it is big enough then you can make a bigger size.
UGH. She stopped right when the instructions got confusing! Can someone decipher this round…what am I repeating??? 2nd rnd: Knit to next marker. *M1. SM. K2. SM. M1.** Knit to next marker. Rep from * twice more, then from * to ** once. Knit to end of rnd.
You can look at the pattern and follow the numbers for the xxl size. They will be written in the color that the size is listed as at the top of the pattern. The pattern is linked in the description. However, the xxl size's pattern is slightly different in terms of the number of stitches at each part, so if you read the pattern and follow the correct numbers you should be good.
Disappointing how it just ends.Considering this is from Yarnspitations I'm highly disappointed. No use to join another video tutorial considering there's no support here by creator or yarnspirations.
Fair warning stitch counts off when dividing sleeves from body for sizes larger than XS/S. Spent hours trying to decipher this. And of course no video on this part either made it very difficult to figure out how to proceed. Bad on you Yarnspirations
Wait... what? That's it? You can't leave me hanging here. Oh this is terrible. I couldn't really understand the pattern and when I saw that there's a video, I thought maybe I would be able to at least follow... But you skipped and didn't even finish showing us (beginners). That's too bad.
This is a wonderful instructional video but it leaves you hanging! I need part 2 so that I can finish my sweater!
Finished the sweater! Very easy pattern! I started a second sweater with Bernat Forever Fleece Finer. Thank you again for an awesome pattern!

Good to know there’s no part 2. Saves me the time / energy of applying myself to this project 😔
There is a KAL you may find useful: ruclips.net/video/pjftAdHJHxE/видео.html

Thanks for the inspiration! I struggled with raglan and now I can finally understand how to add knits.
Thank you so much. Starting on my first sweater after finding this instruction😊
thank you thank you for this educational video!! Made shaping a raglan very clear
I think i will just follow along with this sweater tutorial with just any yarn...i just want to understand the concept...thanks for this!
I was so pleased to see this video as I was confused by the written instructions. Feeling more inspired, I shall endeavour to try to knit this. My first sweater.
Totally my first sweater
Just the tutorial I needed, not complicated, not too fast and easy to follow - thank you
Hi I have started this sweater but am stuck at dividing the sleeves and body. Can you help me out

Thank you, thank you, 🙏. Your patience and time it took to do this is so appreciated. Thank you so much.
Thanks, Linda!
Please make a part 2!

Ok this is the pattern I was looking for, but it does explain my confusion lol..thank you so much
Thank God you guys did this tutorial! I was so confused!

I can't believe this tutorial just stops and doesn't finish the sweater. If this is for beginners shouldn't you show the whole thing???
Agree!

@@anishinaabae I know how to read patterns, you nit wit. Stop being an internet troll and go make something.
I have knitted sweaters before and raglan too but do you have any videos or books to learn how to do sweaters from the top down
I'm going to try to knit this sweater. This is my first time knitting a sweater. I a little concerned with the use of dpns. I've never knitted with them.
Me either! Yikes lol
I just can’t do dons. I’ll try magic loop.😬
wheezie02 you can buy shorter circular needles if you are concerned about DPNs
I want to make a sweater this upcoming year, I have made a ton of scarves, fingerless mittens. I want to make a sweater. this sounds good!! do-able. for me.
Wish it finished the whole thing. I have always struggled with sweaters. I might try this
now what? I am a beginner. You where do I get help for the rest of the sweater?
Hi there ? Are you actually knitting in the round or going back and forth as if with two needles - the circ needle just to accommodate stitches? Cheers , Annette from Australia 🇦🇺
In the beginning she is working in rows, after she does the knitted cast on she joins and starts working in the round.
Great until instructions ended.....Is there a part 2 for picking up stitches for sleeves etc
I wish I read the comments... Spent hours doing this but the rest of the pattern is doing things that the video didn't go over so I don't know if I'll be able to finish it... Very sad about it seeing as the tutorial quality was very good and with help I think I would've been able to finish it :(
I do a lot of knitting of different projects, but I really want to learn how to do this!
I want to try and add a turtleneck!!
Would like to knit one with a heavier yarn like. 6 or 7 And tell what size needles to us thank you

Can people over at Yarnspiration give us a detailed tutorial in fair isle knitting??
Nice sweater mam
I will knit this Sweater but cannot obtain this yarn in South Africa. What other weight of yarn could I use. Aran perhaps ?
I've knit this sweater and it was easy BUT I hate picking up stitches so not happy with the collar. Is there a top down that knits the collar first???
i bet if you used a crochet chain to cast on, then you could knit the sweater and then undo the chain to pick up the live stitches
Have never seen Where the back is made longer than the front by casting on only the back and then making additional stitches in the front to continue knitting the front interesting. Oh what about the ribbing?
How much velvet yarn is used in making this sweater? And what is the size of this sweater
The instructions for the beginning of the pattern were great. Too bad you didn't cover the other tricky parts.
Exactly, what is the point
First time
So, the legs look different for the increases - new stitches are added on left needle “straight” rather than twisted…
It's my first sweater
Thanks for the tutorial
How so you know how many stitches to add ?
Could you show me how to download the pattern please?
.
This is my first attempt at a top to bottom
I love the videos, you very much
Is there a bernat velvet baby sweater pattern that I can knit? I can only find the crochet pattern
Where do I find this pattern? Is it downloadable?
As a beginner who hasn't made a a sweater yet because dividing the sleeves/building the sweater especially near the end is confusing, this video just made me laugh. Some tutorial, barely read the rest of the confusing part of the pattern or explained it
How does the ribbing come about at the neckline in the end? Is that added? I’m wondering because everything else is done in one go...
I am wondering the same thing. I'm working on it now. Even with a stretchy cast on I'm not sure its gunna stretch over a head
@@gwenifredd @nomadine85 Yes, you go back and add the ribbing at the end. If you are worried about if it is big enough then you can make a bigger size.
Okay I got stuck at the round? Anyone else? Does someone have a video recommendation or it there a part 2 to this video? :(

How many stitches should l do at first for size xxl

What’s the point of making half a video?

Not even going to bother seeing all the complaints! 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻
This video was nothing more than a joke. I am in dilemma.
This video leaves you hanging. Not good for beginners. She just stops and you have to figure it out own your own. Not a good video
